i completely agree with the common thought that a number of peeps have expressed i.e. modern marriage with the values of olden day marriage. . .

but wouldn't it be a lil difficult considering the fact that the situation is quite different from what it used to be

I think it would be very easy to forget those values at times. . . but i guess it depends on both party's willingness to incorporate those values
i.e. if ur hubby is sleeping outside n u r aware of this, it'll be hard to respect such a man etc, (not to say that men didnt cheat back then. . . but im sure they werent likely to have numerous mistresses)

For sure it would be nice to have a say in ur home, for both the hubby and the wife to take care of their children together, share thoughts, ideas n issues w each other but also respect ur man, take care of him etc

I also think collaboration btw both partners will lead to a happier home. . .

Can we just list some of these values of the olden days and some of the ones from nowadays. . .

@ OP, i understand what you mean by the need for change but there are people who despise change and would rather stick to what they kno. so i dont completely agree with the "need for change" being universal, Every1 is different,

Change is good tho, i think guys should take it slow and not expect so much, baby steps, introduce something new every often

however im enjoyin ur thread and like tyson55, will like to read the rest,

If the parent of the child was around im sure they would not care if the child may be dead or not, they for don slice the things finish, at least they would need to bury the child and not let it waka with it,

And u better tell her to her face that u will no longer tolerate the high level of disrespect she has been dishin to u. . . She is ur wife for God's sake. . . I don't kno if u've been prayin bout it but u better start. . . It's unacceptable and u shuld start pretending u getting calls in the middle of the nite as well and see how she feels about it. . .u shuld also evaluate the way u treat her (are u guys intimate??(I'm not talkin bout sexually) I mean do u guys share everything and anything with each other?? , Yesterday evening,I closed & attended my Counseling session after close of work at 4:15pm.I was on YahooChat with her, told her I would be on my way home soon.

At 7:30pm I was home, she wasn't there, I waited till 8:30pm & she wasn't back, I called her & she started apologizing & promising I should get ready for the greatest sex of my life, that she was so&so part of the city,

, 10pm, 11pm, 12pm, she was nowhere to be found! Her MAN was switched off, I dialed her Zain more than 60 times!!!No pickup!,

At 1pm she called asking me to come open the main gate, she was brought by a car that seemed like a drop, but she told the man"that is him", what's that?!

She wheezed past me,i locked the gates, got up & asked her calmly , I perceived an arrogant shrug, Then she stated that her girlfriend's relationship was bla bla bla, she went to settle them, then they went for a drink because she settled them well, bla bla bla,

I got furious at the story, went into the kitchen, picked the laddle for turning "eba" & because she was unclothed,I gave her the righteous beating of my heart till the laddle broke!!

I didn't beat her like an animal,I beat her like she was a little kid, PLEASE DID I OVERREACT ,

Am worried

yea, u did overreact, beating her was way too much, dang! She's ur wife not ur child, imagine ur child watching u do that to her. . . Do u think she is cheating on u or wat

There are lots of other actions u could have taken than beating

Please, i need your candid advise. There is this woman in my area (street) for the past 1year now, she has been giving me green light. I understood all her moves but i do pretend because i do not want any relationship, moreover i am happily married with kids. But the more i resist her the more she continue to try. This very evening i was about buying some drinks from a store close to her store, she sent her daughter to me ,  her daughter said i quote '' my mum said i should tell you she is greeting you''then  I went to her just to extend my greetings,  she said'' run away man, where  have u been? i was shocked.
