I've not seen the movie but if what you have written here is true then this is a stupid adaptation of the character. Batman was trained by Raals Al Ghul, one of the greatest villains to grace the DC universe. If he meets an equally trained villain that matches his skills then that is another story.

Tips for those getting started/ already in the gym:

2) Light weight builds the body, heavy weight builds strength ( i highly recommend light weight for bench press)
