You are an acclaimed doctor right? Would you believe a natural method when a medical specialist has exhausted all available medical knowledge on you being the patient in this scenario and then tells you that you have a barely 3 months to live since medically there is absolutely nothing they can do.

Would you believe that doctor since he just left medicine and dropped to CHANCE?

You who are also a specialist know that indeed there is nothing else that can be done. Would you believe this doctors prognosis or is it different from your position about prayer and chance?

Can you link me to where it went viral on facebook or twitter? It couldn't have gone viral on whatsapp or BBm or telegram. Those are limited to participants but facebook and twitter are not limited.

Assuming you never said prayers "never" worked it would mean 2 things.

1) you are not sure of your comment of prayers not working (so why make that declaration in an alleged "viral" post.

2. You are playing to the gallery .

I just did a quick sweep of the thread in question where you said it went viral and your "colleagues " (implying fellow doctors) confirmed your stories.

I am sorry but you do realise that you exaggerated a tad bit.

All I saw were fellow atheists and not fellow colleagues (doctors) who confirmed your theory. Plus I also saw others who also said prayers did work. What would you make of their claims?

Would you ask for proof of their claims since you didn't offer any of yours?

Would you call their claims trash since it did not agree with your stories?

Is there no atheist who is proud enough to declare in clear terms how he got his epiphany and chose to switch to atheism?

Unanswered prayers for patients was a small part of the reason why I became an atheist.
How people tend to view their unanswered prayers is up to them, but I'm definitely not following a practice that it's success average is no better than chance.

So can you then answer my question. I asked if your claim that prayers were not answered in your hospital is applicable to all other hospitals worldwide?

How people tend to view their prayers be it answered or not SHOULD be your concern if there was an unequivocal fact of unanswered prayers then that would make your claim and one of your steps to atheism absolute am I correct?

I never said I became a theist. I said that I was introduced to the God idea, whether I believed or not is a different matter. My point is that before the "introduction" i didn't have the sligthest concept of God.
1. One must have a concept of something before believing in it. You agree?
2. prior to the "introduction", I didn't have a concept of God, hence I didn't have a belief in the existence of God. You agree?
3 from 1 and 2 above, It can be deduced that prior to the "introduction" I lacked a belief in the existence of God, and thus I was an Atheist by default. Agree?

I was introduced to the God Idea at the age of 4, prior to that, I had never conceived of God or anything close to that.

So since you were INTRODUCED that means you received A DIFFERENT INTRODUCTION some time later on in life which Led to your atheism.

I use to be a deist. For me I see both of them as almost the same. I don't believe or accept what a website says, I think for myself. I never said all theist agree with the bible, I just gave an example of how the earth would have been if there was a God.

Why are you not eager to share your personal epiphany here. It's my piece and since my intentions are only known to me I am perfectly on track by asking for it to be written here so I can read.

To my atheist friends all I ask is a LITERAL TASTE of what you have got and guard so jealously.

You should be jumping at this opportunity to share how you got your epiphany especially since you are proud enough to declare your atheism openly on this website. Shouldn't you also be proud enough to also declare your epiphany?
