i think that it has a lot of benefit . . but the most important is that it increases the (quality)signal strength of the STB
for instance infinity was always @34% before upgrading now i get it @75-80%.

The new 69x firmware. One important benefit also is that, you can record 2 programmes from 2 different channels simultaneously.

Phiz. GTV has a channel known as GTV Sports+ on a DTT platform broadcasted by the provider-SMART TV. The EPL matches shown on that channel and GTV as well is the free to air matches shown on MBC- W3A. Smart TV is a new DTT provider in Ghana. Check www.smart.tv

When u check from your audio menu via ur remote control, u will find out that the Infinity Switch channel's audio language is in AAC format. 69x can't decode this format. I also understand 4900/10 can decode it only with an appropriate upgrade. It's the same reason why sometime back we couldn't get audio for Top TV's test transmission on Sirius 4.

@ all. I blindscanned Astra2b yesterday and was suprised to get some canal channels, about 50 of them or so but all encrypted with viacess. I used 60cm dish. Could they be those on badr 5? The signal strength is 65%.

When the "no video/audio" appears, press 6969 twice on your remote. Happened to me when i 1st bought mine. Try let's see.

CRTV, to the best of my knowledge, has no other channels anywhere. When i spoke with one of their customer service reps, i found out that their decoder is Mpeg4 with a card slot. (didn't ask abt the brand). But it doesn't come with a smart card. I asked her 2 tell me the kind of channels they hv, and 2 my suprise, she mentioned channels we're already receiving, i.e. CNN, France24, a list of multi tv channels plus My Tv africa channels, etc. I guess she didn't understand my questions and i didn't want her to suspect me. I'm just wondering how they can do that.

This is what i found on a sister forum:

Arabsat 5a has official replaced
Arabsat 2b with the channels on
C band moving from Arabsat 2b
to Arabsat 5a.
The are 2 c band beams on
Arabsat 5a. C-Band MEA beam is
covering the Whole of Africa
plus our sister countries like
Madagascar and Mauritius
No active tps yet

With the issue of CRTV, I don't think they are that serious. They've been making the same advert more than a year ago. And apart from the CRTV they don't show any other channel.

But I will still make enquiries and find out what else do they say they can offer. EPL as you know has been the rights of DSTv only since Gateway was liquidated.

Pofolo. This guys are the only one who knows what they're talking abt. I tried calling them via their contact numbers but no response. Will try again on Monday.

How does one loop channels received on a DVB-T decoder to Strong decoder. I don't want to be switching between AV 1 and AV 2

It airs on channel 010 (Tv3/Aljazeera) from 12.00am GMT to 3am (1.00am to 4am Niga time). Just tune in at that time.
