spyder880: Hmm! Thank you for your response. Of course, the carpenter will be responsible for the losing and dismantling of the bamboo... however, the messin in this case mentioned that it's a standard everywhere for them not to patch it except it's discussed as a fresh job or you use the iron type of scaffold to avoid any opening. It's strange to me though. Anyways we will try and reach an agreement and maybe other people can comment too. 2 Likes |

Oga Spyder, Please I have a question. If one gives a messin the external plastering work and there after, the scaffolds removed; is it the same person's responsibility to fill the small holes where the bamboos passed through or it its a different (maintenance) job entirely. I am currently facing one of this argument with someone doing an external plastering work for me. Thank you in advance for your response. @House you can contribute also. spyder880: |

spyder880: I agree my brother, almost all building materials have sky rocketed. Some justifiable and others not. So it's really difficult to manage funds these days. It is well o! That's what we can say. Overall well done on your progress, good job. 1 Like |

spyder880: Wow! So now what's the total cost including finishing as the initial amount was 40 million naira. By the way I am curious as to what amount can complete the tiling of this whole house including the stair way. Thanks in advance. |

spyder880: This looks nice. However, considering cost aside choice, do you think this balustrade is cheaper than iron (not wrought) handrail constructed by the welders? Just curious. Thanks |

spyder880: Well done the Spyder man. You are doing well. Please how much did it cost you for the workmanship for the internal plastering and finishing? Perhaps I see that the doors and wooden frames haven't been done, but what is your projection? I mean all the internal plastering (under decks, all the rooms partition, e.t.c..) Thanks |

saydfact: Always avoid pariing the toilet/bath wall with living room, dining, or other space when it can be avoided. Except it's absolutely unavoidable. |

saydfact: Instead of making the master's bedroom toilet/bath share a wall with the kitchen, why not position it towards the first tight rooms' toilet/bath? That way your two toilet/bath will share the same wall. |

Jomafuvwe: Sometimes I know people don't like to spend money for quality services... however, it's not advisable to be penny wise and pound foolish. I will advise you to get an architect and request for a professional drawing that includes your electrical, structural, and mechanical settings and parameters. Spend the money now and have peace of mind when your project starts. All these help me correct or review this or that is not good. When you have an error in the cause of the project who would you hold responsible? Remember, it's more expensive to amend something that should have been done correctly ab initio later. Olorunwasimi: You are welcome. Most likely they ain't checking it even. Because like I said, I think the language barrier is the issue. Where do you reside? If you are in Lagos, I will advise you travel down to Cotonou even if it's the full day just to follow it up and see that they responded back to WES. 4 Likes |

Olorunwasimi: Hello, Yes, I did one from HNAUB, although not mine. They request for 60K CFA to send your transcript and certificate/result to WES Canada through a DHL service. It usually get to Canada by the 3rd day. The only process that takes time is for them to respond to the query from WES Canada. I guess it's because of the language barrier. However, what I did in my case was to get someone go directly to the office and help them reply the email back to WES Canada and it was fixed and WES concluded the verification. 10 Likes 1 Share |

This is my story, short but inspiring. 1st IELTS attempt with BC (10th Nov 2018) Saw my result on the 24th Nov 2018 as follows: LRWS = 5.5, 7, 7, 7.5 (overall band 7) # I knew my listening result would be a mess right from the time I finished the exams because I went blank at a point and did not concentrate to follow up the questions. Although, I did not bother because I trust my ability. So I immediately register for another exams 2nd IELTS attempt with IDP MOD (1st Dec 2018) Saw my result on the 14th Dec 2018 as follows: LRWS = 8.5, 8, 6.5, 8.5 (overall band # I was a bit disappointed with my writing score because I knew what I wrote and deserve more than 6.5. So I opted in for an EOR the same day (14th) and requested for a remark on my writing. Fast forward 8th Jan 2019 (exactly 25 days), i received an email from IDP MOD saying "We are pleased to inform that we have received the outcome of your remark. Please be informed to complete the form below and avail us with the scanned copy via email." Immediately I checked online again for my result, behold it has changed from 6.5 to 7. So my new result is: LRWS = 8.5, 8, 7, 8.5. With this result I am good to go for the express entry profile creation as my point alongside my spouse is now over 450 points. My advise: If you know what you have written and received a below expectation result, kindly go for EOR. A trial is not a crime, go for it. Wish you guys the best of luck for those still trying the IELTS exams. BR 51 Likes |
