Hey guys,
I need to know what the content of the PPR email is. Can one leave Nigeria after sending post-ITA documents?
I am asking cause I learned that the passport will be required. Can it be sent from another country and returned to the local visa office there, or it has to be Nigeria?

Career / Re: MSc In UK Versus N183k Job Offer: Advice Please by spawne: 3:33pm On Sep 08, 2017
tempest01:
If the admission was to Canada or US, I would say you should go immediately without thinking twice.

The thing with this admission to UK is that if you leave, it is almost certain that you are coming back after a year and six months as there is no visa you can use to delay your coming back while searching for a job in the UK. You must have a job with a company that can sponsor a tier 2 visa and is ready to sponsor you.

If you can get a study leave without pay, I would advice you do. Since it's a scholarship, there is no financial burden on you. The course would make you a better person and also Widen your horizon though it is not a guarantee for a better job in this present Nigeria.

If I was in your shoes, I would go for the masters. After the masters, think of going to canada or Australia with the express entry program. Don't look at the ptdf money as much, look for a part time job there and have savings. Write the ielts exams and try and get good grades towards the end of your stay in the UK. With that, I see you moving forward.
I strongly advise this also. Nice one Tempest01

Plssss can someone help me out, i just downloaded the hirevue app and was abt to take my interview, nd i was told that the interview has been taken. Wat shud i do plsssss. I need answers
Hi,
I noticed this when I tried opening the app immediately after the download. Return to the mail and click the interview link provided. It'd open a page with two (2) steps. First step prompts you to download the app(which you already have), the other states "take interview". Of course, you'd have to click the "take interview" option and it should open up with the already downloaded app.
Hope this helps.

Best Wishes.

Hello Everyone!

I have been a silent follower of the thread...I read all parts and even the sister thread on survival in the UK before my application, and I can't thank you all enough for the great wealth of information you have all shared.

I applied on the 14th of September, made sure I called my bank(Skye) before paying for it visa fees to avoid any hiccups, and it went smoothly on the first attempt. I booked for interview on the 16th at Abuja VAC. when I got there a lot of guys haggling at the entrance telling me my passport was the wrong one...instinctively I ignored. To large extent the interview went smoothly, only struggled because I mentioned I might transport myself to school using a bicycle and I was asked how much the bike will cost...I didn't know. I also struggled to answer the timeline between my school application and response.

I got my decision mail on the 28th(6 working days if u remove the public holidays).

When booking for flights please go direct to the airline's website. I got an Air France return ticket from PHC for (204,338) $1021...from Lagos its $939. I traveled on the 4th of October(night flight) and arrived Cranfield on the 5th.

The schedule here in Cranfield has been crazy... 9-5pm daily...the cold on Thursday was something else and we're not in winter yet.

I had some free time yesterday and so I went down to the post office at Milton Keynes to pickup my BRP...I was told it was not there and they gave me a form to contact UKVI...anyone here had a similar thing? I'll like to know how it was resolved.

Oh yeah thanks to this online community I was able to contact someone here who accommodated me in his room for 3 days for free until I got my own accommodation yesterday... I would have lost some good cash paying for a hotel so thank you all.

I've got lyca and lebara...I need advice on which one to actually use and how to activate the plan.

Once again thank you all so very much.
The boss has spoken...!

you pay before you submit at the visa application center, through the tls website, although you'll be asked wen u get to the vac if u want to pay for it, so u can as well pay it there with your atm card
I will confirm my application tomorrow after which I believe I will have to pay for the visa and choose an interview date. When you say "pay before you submit at the visa application center" , do you mean before I confirm application or before I go for the interview.
Forgive me if this just sounds plain dumb. Trying not to make a mistake.
Many thanks.

Hello house.
I left Lagos yesterday night for Heathrow via Frankfurt. Arrived at about 9 am. At the POE, I just tendered my passport and the officer asked if I was coming for study. After I said YES, he stamped my passport and I went through. I didn't need to show him ANY document.
And now I'm comfortably settled in my uni accommodation. Weather is quite cold though. Thank you everyone for all the useful advice and tips given thus far. And I pray that everyone settles in as smoothly as I did.
God bless!
Baba, congratulations. Quick one abeg. How do I go about paying for the priority service? Before I submit my application or after.
Once again, congratulations.

Yeah. But if you can have your appointment in Abuja and pay for priority then you should be able to get it in 5 working days or 6. Priority or no priority sha, please stay away from Lagos, if you can. Cheers!
And LOL!!! Oma12, who knows how long it would have taken if you didn't pay for priority? cheesy cheesy
It was worth it small... SMALL!
Oma12:
Hey. I think they have just 2 public holidays this September. First of all, what's the latest resumption date for your school? Just as you apply, pick the closest available date for the interview. As for the priority service, I'll advice you not to bother really. With the experience I've had and some of the people here too, priority takes more days than the stipulated 5 days they claim(in lagos though).
Many thanks Oma12 and Dannyabba. Latest date for registration is October 26, 2015. However, I still want to get there in time. I don't have the luxury of applying in Abuja; means i'll have to take my chances with Lagos. Dannyabba, I believe you got yours withing six (6) days, yea? I mean judging by one of your posts.

Hello guys,
Trust you are all doing great. Congrats to those that got their visa.
I am yet to apply for mine as the 28 days ends on Monday. This means I'd have to apply on the 22nd. My worry is the sallah break ( doubt they'd hold interviews then); what are the odds of getting an appointment a day after submitting the application?
And yes, can someone please explain how I can go about the priority bit.
Many thanks.
