Haters should take it easy. It is very obvious that this man is on ground and well liked in his state (ekiti). ●The first man to defeat two sitting governors(adebayo 2003, fayemi 2014). No mean feat! ●His influence swept away all 23 apc HOA members replacing them with Pdp members ●All 3 apc senators lost to his Pdp candidates even this year. They saw in him a good leader and he's performing. Nothing in the constitution bars him from the mkt place or a cyber cafe or any other place. |

When you speak out against injustice meted out to Ifeanyi at Onitsha, Olu at Oshogbo, Haruna at Kebbi, Ejiroo at Sapele, Osaretin at Benin or Ekaette at Calabar you are inadvertently preventing injustice at your doorstep. Can you imagine, Nigeria is currently engulfed in the worst petroleum scarcity ever and this human rights activist has kept mum, has said nothing in fear of antagonising the govt. Unarmed Biafra protesters were mauled down and he saw no wrong in that also. Now he is dancing to the gallery hoping to please Abuja. Yes looters should be made to face the law but a rights activist shouldnt be selective or be mindful of whose ox is gored as he discharges his ressonsibilities. Christianity Etc › Re: 7 Sins That Lead To Self-destruction: Christians Must Avoid. by specco(m): 2:35pm On Nov 22, 2015 |
tempest69: Sin consciousness is what your post is all about
Hebrews 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
Sin consciousness results to remember unto sin. I wonder why believer searches himself daily to see if He has wrong any body. That's being sin conscious.
Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Everyday I see baby born again christains ask for forgiveness I have never sin in the entire new Testament where any of the disciples or apostles pray for forgiveness of sin. But see what Paul said
1 Timothy 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Abstaining from those things by your carnal nature is not possible. Some of us baby christain believers still preach that people should forsake their sins then follow Jesus. Its wrong. If I can forsake my sins then, I don't need Jesus. Remember He came for the unrighteous which include every man created because no man is righteous. Abraham's righteousness was counted unto him because he believed God not base on works. Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
To conclude this my dear brother. BY NATURE... we are SINNERS, BUT BY FAITH we are RIGHTEOUS (SAINTS) SHALOM!!!!!!! This is a gospel of convenience. Which is more reason why its hard to differentiate a believer from an unbeliever nowadays. Should we continue in sin so that grace may abound? The knowledge that the Lord Jesus paid the price doesnt give us the freedom to revel in sin. |

Politics › Re: How I Met Bola Tinubu – Babatunde Fashola by specco(m): 11:40am On Nov 14, 2015 |
Toks2008: This reminds me of an Article i wrote before the guber elections this year.
Tinubu godfather-ism A blessing or a curse to Lagos state.
Political godfather-ism can not be exempted from politics all over the world and this should not be an issue.
What we should look at is the ability of these godfathers to follow due process in ensuring that their choice candidate succeeds in winning the elective position.
In Lagos state, over the years many quarters have held the notion that Asiwaju Bola Hammed Tinubu’s “godfather-ism” is more akin to that of unscrupulous mafia dons.
Tinubu’s “godfather-ism” to these set means candidates for public office of his political party are not elected by popular vote but selected from Tinubu’s bedroom and then imposed on the party. They are then held under a tight leash by the Jagaban and are required to do his bidding on pain of being summarily replaced or impeached.
The question I keep asking the crusader of these funny and seemingly awkward assertion is this; does Tinubu have a hypnotic power to control the minds of these party members? OF-COURSE NOT.
I think what Tinubu does is that he meticulously analyses an individual within the party based on credibility and presents such to the party and does not impose or blackmail anyone to vote for such but uses the apparatus within his reach to foster his choice into coming out tops.
I would say that the "godfather-ism" of Tinubu have come out as a great blessing to Lagos state due to his ability to recognize a credible and efficient candidate as we have evidently seen in the person of Governor Fashola who turned Lagos state around and made Lagos the envy of every other states and also raised the bar so high that APC governors across Nigeria are known for excellent performance
In like manner, I believe that the emergence of Akinwunmi Ambode as the APC flag-bearer and subsequently the next governor of Lagos state will definitely bring about even a greater and more excellent governance.
I will not want to forget the rumored rift between Governor Fashola and Tinubu and if this is true then it even gets better because this goes a long way to show that these presumed “godsons” are not just excellent executives but are not also a push over for any one.
In conclusion, I would say that the “godfather-ism” of Tinubu if indeed it is what people call it,have been a blessing for Lagos and will continue to be a blessing and until we see a reason to discredit it, we will continue to vote for APC to take charge of the affairs in Lagos state for many years to come not because there is a presumed godfather somewhere but because Lagosians have realized that the representatives of this party are result oriented.
https://www.nairaland.com/2047114/tinubu-godfather-ism-blessing-curse-lagos The hype on the ability of Tinubu to detect potential good leaders is becoming worrisome in the light of the faltering Ambode, the debt ridden Aragbe of Osun and his beloved senator-wife in the senate. Let Tinubu go on and replicate other Fasholas in other positions of authority if Fashola is not just a fluke. |
