Proudlynaija: 1. What is the secret of that enticing light greenish color of Nigerian fried rice? 2. Which is best for frying the vegetables, butter or vegetable oil?
Picture source: cookpad.com/ng Op i love fried rice with a light hue as yours ...modidfied. 1. The quantitity of either Ducros curry, Tiger curry or Tumeric you use in saucing your meat, goes a long way to determine the hue you'll get ( some people don't use any of the above seasoning, but rely on only the natural colouring from the veggies) 2.I prefer groundnutoil for frying the veggies. I use butter when the rice is almost done by spreading a liitle on top of the rice and covering the pot without stirring, then leave for about 7 mins on low heat...I do stir when the water is completely dried, i don't like sticky fried rice * Fried rice must not be overcooked *That your Chicken is dope, looks deep fried and not dry *Weekend serenade loading... |
Business › Re: How I Got A Content Writing Job With A European Company That Changed My Life by Spechialone(f): 1:08pm On Apr 04, 2022 |
ladywriter: I've always had the dream to work as a remote content writer (not freelance) with a company. I know two top content writers in Nigeria who have achieved this lofty goal. So I kept pushing to get there. Little did I know that I was already on the path that will lead me there. Below was how it happened:
I assume you know me already. I am Ladywriter. I created this thread "https://www.nairaland.com/4479900/how-make-decent-income-writing ", and "https://www.nairaland.com/1833989/how-make-1000-month-writing".
I stopped working on Freelancer.com to start my writing biz few years ago. It was tough, but I kept going. Two years ago, I sourced clients from LinkedIn. I got about 3 clients all from Europe. I worked with these companies for some time. The least period being six months and the longest - for about 2 years. While working with them, I tried as much as possible to satisfy the clients, but one of them was difficult to please. I eventually lost two of the clients. I kept faith with the remaining one. During this period, I brushed up my seo skill, took paid writing courses worth over $300 with Jon Morrow, bought copywriting books, read virtually all of Neil Patel’s content and followed Brian Dean bumper to bumper. I also bought grammar editing tools. I just kept on learning and improving myself.
Within a year, I became a pro at writing excellent business articles that ranked high on search engines. The articles I wrote for the company began to rank high in Google for our targeted keywords and the company sales soar. The company gives incentives from time to time. For example, they give Amazon Gift cards during Christmas.
Not too long ago, the company wanted to expand its staff strength. I got a call from the CEO asking me if I would like to work for the company full time. I was highly elated! I don’t think I need to tell you my answer (lol). Dreams come true after all. My basic salary for a start is four figures in dollars which translates to six figures in naira. I couldn’t believe my eyes. To cap it all, there are many benefits attached to the job. I will have the opportunity to travel annually to participate in the company’s camp meeting. There are other side benefits apart from my salary. People, it is good to be hardworking. I can’t begin to tell you the number of hours I spend on my laptop daily including weekends or how much I pay for data monthly. It took me about 3-4 years to get to this point with a lot of learning curves. But it eventually paid off. And this is just the beginning for me.
The truth is, there is no shortcut to success online. There is a process to follow to achieve your dreams. There is no height too high to climb if you are ready to pay the price.
I am writing this piece to encourage someone out there on the path to achieving his or her dreams or someone with a similar dream as mine.
If you are a writer and you want to achieve a similar feat, follow the steps below:
1. Learn how to write business articles 2. Learn how to do SEO 3. Learn how to source clients from LinkedIn 4. Take free and paid writing courses 5. Follow the experts
May God reward your efforts!
Blessings! Thank you for this exposure. God bless you |

VIA IG POST In his latest Instagram post, Will apologized to Chris and everyone else for his ‘unacceptable’ behavior at this year’s event. “My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally,” he wrote. “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness. “ I really felt Will took it too far because its no secret that she has Alopecia...she did not hide it. Chris just commended her hair style thats all, it had no direct remark to her health condition...but guess Will was paranoid from something else and took it out on the next available brother |

Lesgupnigeria: "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now."
I projected many years ago that agriculture is going to be the mainstay of this economy, then I told my friends who we just graduated together to come join me to start farming business, all of them rejected it telling me "how will a whole graduate go into bush and start farming"
I'm joing you soon
Most of the "whole graduates" are now farmers doing great things.
Many may not be so lucky to have a second chance.
Now many of us always make a mistake of seeing only your present situation and how to satisfy the present even when what's presented to you might not satisfy your current situation but certify your future.
I have learnt to always open my mind when anyone present an idea to me.
Many years ago, a friend told me to also focus on cashcrop like cashew or oilpalm. My findings shows that the price per tonnage are low which discouraged me to pay full attention, fast forward to last year, the price has increased by X 7 of the initial price and not until we could not supply most of our partners that ask for it.
Well, I might have missed most of the oppprtunities but it's not too late, the next best time to do that is now. We are more focus on it than ever.
You might have missed out, but the next best time is now. Dust yourself up and get to work! Good morning. |
