Hello all, as shown in the topic, what I need most in my marriage is trust.
My husband does not not trust me, he's extremely suspicious of me. At first, it was flattering seeing him show his insecurities by being protective and wanting to know where I am and who I'm with all the time. But I can take it no more cos of the way he keeps mentioning specific names of men he thinks I'm having something with.

To give you a bit of context, this is a summary of our marriage.

By the time I and my husband met, I was in a relationship with someone else. He didn't mind and we clicked mostly because we were classmates from way back. I instantly fell for him and it was easy for me to fall in love probably because the relationship I was in at the time was on shaky ground, we were always fighting.
I found peace with my current husband when he showed genuine interest and we developed our friendship, and that led us to where we are now as a married couple.

Now I'm not stupid, my mind tells me that perhaps at the back of his mind, he feels that if I was able to leave my previous relationship to be with him, then I can do the same to him. This is what I'm thinking, but I also believe there's more to what may be going on in his own mind.
Missing his calls always becomes an issue, he has this attitude of calling me on video immediately after I tell him where I am and then he would insist I pan out the camera angle to show him around.
He has gone as far as mentioning the name of two coworkers of mine, and makes jokes that insinuate I'm having a secret affair.

I love this man, and I would not cheat on him. He makes me swear and make promises to him all the time and frankly, I'm tired of swearing for someone who just won't get that he's got me and won't lose me. It's gotten to the point that his continuous suspicions of my coworkers have made me start noticing them in ways I shouldn't have. I honestly started watching them more just to understand why my husband would ever assume I can be interested in them.

I want him to trust me, I need his trust, but I have run out of things to do on my own. I was going to suggest couple's therapy to him, but I'm so not ready for one of his long speeches.
I just want to do all I can to build the trust and if it don't work, then I can be bold enough to suggest therapy as a last resort.

Have a talk with him about it. Be direct. Ask him if he thinks you could ever cheat on him. Ask why whether yes or no. Ask him if he's ever been cheated on and how often - could be the cause of his fears. With the info, find the cause of his fears and act accordingly.
Then go all out to prove your commitment to fidelity:
Ask him to record you(both audio and video) saying that "he should never forgive you if you're ever guilty of infidelity and should send you back to your parent's house without mercy immediately while also paying a greater percentage(80%) of your total savings/assets for emotional damages on him and your kids"
Tell him you also demand he does a paternity test on all your kids.
Commit to brief him on each day's outing schedule and if any changes come up, always be first to notify him.
Start with these first and watch his reaction. As for you, with these in place, even your favourite vilest demons will be afraid to tempt you to ever do anything stupid.

PS: Well, LoyalHustler1, malcom1X, and y'all outspoken Trump supporters, I don't know what you guys know, and I still suspect Trump has some up his sleeve for Jan 6 and beyond but with the level of suppression and compromise of legal structures right now, I can only hope you guys have something substantial to keep hope alive of freedom lovers alive.

First off, I actually find the term feminism rather inappropriate and carrying an undertone of favoritism for the female, it could have been 'gendism' or something more neutral. I'm also clearly against the liberal-hijacked and radicalized Feminazi evolution of it today which promotes misandry and most every other perverted ideology against the traditional family system and female identity.
But as per the original purported agenda of Feminism, from after WW which was simply to give women more opportunities in the workplace. I'd say that I'm in full support for the following reasons:

1.) The nuclear family system of husband, one wife and kids, the basic unit of society, is its underlying economic security. Those touting polygamy or baby mama and daddy trend as male liberation, haven't considered the full implications of those, which I will address in another thread.
But at the core of preserving this monogamous nuclear family system is fidelity in the home by both parties.

As a man with full fledged active hormones, I can easily relate to men's belief that we're wired for adventure and cheating is in our blood. Yet the truth is marrying a woman of value and your sex appeal, who maintains it, and fulfills her wifely roles, makes fidelity more realistic.
The clincher left that actually makes us seek adventure outside, is loss of interest in our wife due to the "nothing new syndrome".
All humans are designed to start looking for something new once we're used to the current. A wife's continuous personality and character evolution from constantly developing value career-wise, continually giving her husband new traits to see in her is a sure sustainer of their bond.

Hence, such feminism which gives women a skilled labour career ladder to climb, keeping them on the edge, ever causing growth in knowledge, discretion and their value altogether, also keeping you on the edge, motivating you to continuously develop yourself. The chemistry in such marriage will grow stronger with time, strengthening the spouses' bond. The ripple effect of this will unite and strengthen the vision of both spouses for the children, strengthening parent-child bond, hence adding another layer of responsibility, both bonds strengthening our resolve to preserving family in the face of the constant onslaught from the many attractive ladies throwing themselves at us.
Some of you guys, who've dated high-class, top tier women, or any woman of value will relate easily to this. Some women make your conscience prick cause you value them, they're great women. And those guys planning to marry some housewife or village girl you discourage from developing, are creating a cheating environment sooner or later.

2.) Just imagine for instance wartimes like WW arise again(may never happen with the way world has evolved but nothing wrong with preparing for all eventualities). We know we can't depend on women to protect any territory. It is mainly men's role to defend and protect a territory as well as extend its frontiers, war being one front of securing economic sovereignty.
But as it usually goes in dire wartimes like WW, even if the territory is preserved, there is usually an economic setback from military expenses, and the shortage of workforce with many men being drafted to the warfront. At such times if we don't have a skilled female workforce that can fill the void, cater for the family and keep the nations revenue coming, preserving the economy, we can be sure to throw a nation into great depression at such times at best, and even worse to suffer a loss in war due to economic crunch.

3.) Also if for any reason, whether physical disability, retrenchments and the unforeseen etc., fathers lose their jobs, it should be easy for our employable wives to cushion family livelihood, child education, without compromising the cost of living.

4.) Lastly, such feminism will reduce the number of slay queens on the street which are just a plain irritation in society and a loss in a nation's economy as adding no value to it yet constantly consuming created wealth, parading themselves as human causes for economic degeneration. That is, of course, such feminism being sifted of the radicalised female sexual liberation promoting female whoring and reckless objectification of their bodies.

The family and nation would benefit a lot from such a movement which seeks to make women a full part of highly skilled labour.

In today's world, you can't determine 100% that you'll be richer than your woman(like if she's some Oprah Winfrey) but he can determine that he'll be laden with practicable knowledge to build both their empires and the home.

Your problem is you're yet to build a defined life for yourself around solid principles. You seem to be one who is a people-pleaser especially for her, hence you seem to bend to the will of others.

All sane women and even men are only willing to build lasting relationships formed on solid structures because that's the key to success in life.
I'd say you call off the relationship before she ditches you and breaks your soft heart, take a break from female relationships and start focusing on building a successful life and from that you'll gain understanding on how life works and principles for every aspect including relationships. Then you'll handle all your relationships right. Do this not because of her but for the love of yourself and justice to your existence.

7. Democrats are doxing Trump lawyers, to prevent them from investigating the case.

8. Operators of Dominion voting machine have refused to appear to defend their machines. This is strange.

9. Mail-in ballots had return dates earlier than the dates they were sent out. Many had the same dates they were sent out.

10. Confirmed dead people voted for Biden.

11. Multiple voting in many states.

Biden supporters won't care about these facts. But every question is clearly abnormal, and many are clear violations and evidence of fraud.
Any Nigerian that supports Biden, also supports fraud in Nigeria's elections too.

Even though election boards have certified, Arizona, and Pennsylvania governors won't certify, until all court cases are resolved. If this goes past December 8, then election goes to the House of Assembly, where Republicans have a majority. Trump wins.
Also, if it ends up in the SCOTUS, Trump wins.

Let's bring this back to the frame of pure logic. A thousand times, yes! The circuit is only closed when you're chosen by who you choose, so it's never going to be just about your choosing but also being chosen.

A good way to see this is in the context of career. In Nigeria, think of the number of undergraduates who would choose to work in the oil and gas industry. Out of that great number, the only ones who actually get to work there are those who were chosen by the companies, those who paid the price to become what those companies wanted.
So with relationship, the only woman who gets the ideal man is the one who not only would choose him but who has built herself into becoming what he wants, what will attract him and what he will choose, from his abundant options. The vice-versa is true for the men who want the ideal woman.

Admitting this doesn't make you any weaker but actually gives you the realisation of your power to get what you want.

Well, my take:
Number 1 is true. The more you learn, the more you realise how much there is to know, the more modest you become about your knowledge. In fact, science has only ended up discovering how little we know about our universe.

You have two number 2s up there. I won't totally go with the second. I won't trust anyone as humans are primarily selfish, just so I never get disappointed, a principle that ensures I'm never caught off guard in business or personal relationships. I would draw "trust templates" covering different activities for each person according to their track record but still leave room for disappointment. But I believe I can be trusted not because I'm any less selfish but because I try to ensure none is fooled into believing in me beyond what I know I'm capable of and if I'm gonna disappoint, at least I'd be sure to let you know. I always try to set things very clear from the start and often along the line, so you know exactly what to expect.
In that sense, though I'm human and selfish too, I can be trusted.

I think 4&5 are two sides of a coin and so true. I have found that only enough failure will lead you to success. This is true when you begin to go for very high-flying achievements of a global scale, not mere 'local-champion" ones. You fail and repeat until you no longer fear failure and it's shame. First, you seem to be pursuing money rather than fulfillment. Pursuing money will not bring you true fulfillment. But money will also be your servant if you pursue fulfillment. Your pursuit of money rather than fulfillment would be contributing to this sudden bout of loneliness.
