I must say the protest was for a just cause and the management is at the vanguard of faults and students should not take a seat or relent. But the issue now is, the write up above is diverting from the main issue and propagating a prefered political ideology, which would take the theme of the struggle away, in as much a capitalism has its issues same does socialism but that is not the cause , that should be a struggle for another day and the should not undertone the current light the students are going through. Aluta continua !! |
"N-Power, another component has engaged 200,000 unemployed graduates – none of whom needed any ‘connections’ to be selected." This is a lot saddening , your relations get the juicy ones and you here selling the dried out ones to the mazes in the name of "no connection" required ? Please don't call us a fool sir . Loyalty is not slavery |

farouk0403:It is unfortunate that some that haven't understood the tenents of Islam are doing wrong things in the name of piousness while in other instances some that are not even Muslims are doing wrong things in the name of Islam while in some other instances some that are Muslims are using Islam to fulfill their innate Vice penchants. It is the time we are born in and this is part of our test. Enlighten those you can with kind words and do your little dawah to spread the pure and beautiful tenets of this beautiful faith and may Allah grant you barakah. This taint on Islam started long during the time of the Prophet (SAW). |
Those that intend to have a long life career in the educational sector or at least a long time in this sector , this information concerns you , was sent to my coy from the ministry, don't know if it is universal or my coy just wants to implement it using the government as an alibi, whichever way it's a useful info for all Good Day, All teachers should take note of the directive below from the Ministry to Education and ensure that you are in compliance with all instructions. Thank you ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Adebukola Orenuga <a.orenuga@apen-ng.com> Date: Wed, May 17, 2017 at 5:14 PM Subject: TEACHERS' REGISTRATION COUNCIL OF NIGERIA. Please note, this is for your information - The Registrar/Chief Executive officer, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Prof. Olusegun Ajiboye, has warned that the federal government will not allow any teacher without the professional certificate of the TRCN to teach beyond 2017. Ajiboye who made this known in Ibadan on Tuesday, explained that the policy was part of the three-year Ministerial Strategic Plan designed by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu. According to Ajiboye, the council will stop the present registration system that does not entail any examination at the end of May 2017, while the first professional qualifying examination of the TRCN will take place at the end of September 2017. He said the policy was designed to fully professionalise teaching in Nigeria and ensure that only those who were qualified to teach were employed by the government for quality assurance. Saying the Muhammadu Buhari administration would not joke with professionalism in the teaching profession, Ajiboye added that teachers who registered on or before May 31, 2017, would be exempted from the qualifying examinations. He said already, the council had registered about 1.6 million teachers since he assumed office. Ajiboye added , “By the end of 2017, Nigerian children will be taught by only qualified professional teachers who can deliver the quality education desirous for the elevation of our children and our country. Professionalism is the key for entering into the profession; those who do not have what it takes cannot be trusted with the future of our children. We are out to ensure a guaranteed future for our future leaders by ensuring that those who teach them are the best around. This will translate to higher performances and better value for professional teachers. The professional examination takes place by the end of September and it is the first of its kind; we have structured it into modules of different categories. This is in line with the three-year Ministerial Strategic Plan on education policy designed by the Minister of Education.’’ The TRCN boss listed the modules in the examination as category A (PhD holders), Category B (Masters degree holders), Category C (Bachelor degree holders) and Category D (NCE holders). He doesn't have to announce the sighting of the moon anymore as it becomes irrelevant, should the moon have been sighted on the 29th of Shaban which would have enabled Muslims to commence sawm the last day of Shaban then he can announce it but since that didn't occur automatically sawm begins on the first day of Ramadan with or without the Moon hence it is irrelevant to announce the sighting of the moon to commence on the first day of Ramadan. Ramadan Kareem ,may Allah grant us all the Rahma and Barakah of this holy month |

Is this what a state government should be doing with taxpayers money . We definitely have lost it in this country. How does this contribute to the common good and social order of people of Ekiti that linger in hunger and an abject state of underdevelopment . |
