Romance / Re: Temperament N Love. by spicyv1(f): 1:42pm On Jan 08, 2014
Hi Tethys,

I hope this is not coming too late.

The whole essence of understanding temperaments is to know thyself thoroughly and to also understand why people act the way they do. Having noted that, I believe you know your weaknesses, as well as your strengths. You ought to perfect the art of effectively managing your weaknesses to give you advantages.

In this regard, the weakness of your "Mel" nature is asking you to forfeit a present opportunity and wait for an unknown/non existent future opportunity. You are afraid of what you haven't tried. We all fear, even the seemingly courageous people fear! The difference is, we act inspite of our fears.

So I say, if this current guy is a great guy, give it a shot! Work at the relationship and give in your best! Even if it does not work out as planned, you have the fulfilment of knowing you tried and not the burden of wondering what could have been. wink

In other News u so full of poo, and i knw u among the 99% that are ugly. as my Nigeerian frnds will say over here, the only tin u ladys in Nigeeria knw is money$$$$

Hey you rude, deprived kid! It is Nigerian not nigeerian, thing not tin and ladies not ladys.. The kid can't even spell!! Don't they teach you some sense of decorum at the public school you attend over "there"? Wannabe..You better spend the few hours you have left in 2013 to evaluate your warped thought pattern, loose those low lives you call friends, have a plan for your life and include going to school in that plan so as to become "a man" your kids will be proud of some day!

I advise you cos at your age, I was already done with college and earning legit $$$ wink and successful people don't become who they are thinking like you do!

If the only reasons you and your team of researchers have given, for arriving at that exaggerated and obviously erroneous statistics is the crave for Brazillian hair and make-up, then Rihanna, Brandy, the Kardashians, heck.. ALL western female celebrities are Nigerians! Even Oprah, wears such hair, they call em weaves/extensions.

Also, how many of the gals you ogle at/would rather date have you seen without makeup? Who invented all the fake things Nigerian ladies are only just begining to get excited about?

Get your facts right dude! I bet your team of western researchers have gone through some form of cosmetic surgery to alter their looks! If that isn't low self esteem in its truest form, I wonder if you know the definition.

Romance / Re: Dear Ladies, We Do Not Appreciate It When You Do These In Our Presence by spicyv1(f): 10:55am On Dec 31, 2013
In other words, loose your identity! Do NOT be yourself because you want to please a man!

So OP: your mama don't fart, eat to her satisfaction, laugh her heart out or wash her undies in your papa's presence?

Or should the single ladies pretend not to do these normal things and reveal their true selves only after marriage?

Nairaland / General / Do You Believe In New Year Resolutions? by spicyv1(f): 10:42am On Dec 31, 2013
I thought about creating this topic and then found a some-what similar topic on the front page. However, they borh address different issues wink

Okay so, back to the question, do you believe in/practice New Year resolutions?

I have heard a lot of people especially Christians, say they do not. Reason being it is a "secular" thing and whatever is motivated by the "flesh" does not last/cannot stand the test of time.

Well, I believe in planning. I believe in making new projections and believe in consistent growth and improvement. So, I really do not see how these beliefs differ from a New Year's resolution.

Kindly state what you believe and share your reasons wink

Ziggyzito: you're the same vile scum that warned someone about the application of vulgar language, yet you sit there like a broke whorrre and write stupiiid things....how ironic.... bladddy whorrrre.... I forgot... apparently, you've got nothing upstairs

See what I mean? You lack basic comprehension skills. I lack the ability to spew vulgarity or stewpidity! I'm too cool, my swagg is gingerly, it's why they call me spicy cheesy cool

safarigirl: How can you go about calling a woman a wh0re because she aired her views? Are you sane? How much did D'banj pay you for you to troll everyone who doesn't think he's a god and expose your glaring lack of home training? Get a life and stop worshipping your fellow man

Gurl, please go easy on him.. You and I know the issues he's gotta deal with.. And err, how can you ask him to "get a life and stop worshipping his idol? shocked that is the basis for which he exists! Take that away from him is like snuffing the miserable life out of him.

But really, my post may seem harsh..no hard feelings dude wink I'm just passionate when I express myself.

cheesy cheesy cheesy ziggy, soo typical. I would have been amazed if you had typed polite and remorseful words. Your response is exactly what I expected because the actions of simpletons are ever so predictable cheesy

Btw: the vulgar name calling makes me really sympathetic towards your state of mind because it is glaring you are a product of ALL forms of abuse, hence the ONLY way you know how to relate with people is to be crude!

You can still find love dear and please quit quitting on yourself wink

So much more than you'd ever know..besides, if I typed what I know about him, your concieted nature would interfere with your ability to grasp intelligently.

Ziggyzito: I love you!! Please tell the foool

It is really funny how you assume you have the insight to detect foolishness and label another person a fool when your expressions spews foolishness!

What a crass fellow.. Even your idol D'banj will be ashamed to call you a fan! Do you have to diss others because they saw through the shallowness of an excuse given by your Role model?

And the nerve to ask me to correct someone else who was uncivil when you are indulging in the very same act!!!

It is indeed pathetic how a foolish person foolishly assumes he has the wisdom to detect foolishness sad
Music/Radio / Re: D’banj Cancels Koko Concert 2013 In Honour Of Mandela by spicyv1(f): 4:14pm On Dec 19, 2013
safarigirl: D'banj knows majority of his fans have low IQ's hence the useless excuse. If he actually wanted to do the concert, preparations would've started at least 3 months prior taking into account the booking of the venue and artistes. If you haven't booked a venue 3 months before for a December show, you won't get it anymore. Madiba died this month and D'banj 'cancels' the concert same month. Do you know how much he'll have to pay whatever artistes he booked and even the owners of the venue as compensation? Koko master, I'm sure your brain can come up with a better lie.

Easy on the unpleasant name calling, you can disagree in a civil manner. When you think about it, the poster you quoted is right. D'banj is far from broke, pointing that fact out is not butt licking.

You must be a learner! You should have known that D'banj is the son of Madiba's cousin's inlaw's grandpa's uncle who was also my neighbours' husband's bestfriend!

This is why I know he is "closely" related. grin cool

I did not want to comment on this thread because I am appalled on behalf of D'banj's fans that he thinks of them as stewpid!

However, I quickly realized I'd be dishonouring the great Mandela if I didn't comment and so in honor of Mandela, I have commented.

Please this man should be allowed to rest already.

Ma, am sorry. We still maintain that they can still be voted for. However, since sexkillz have deactivated his account, If in any case he wins....he will be denied of the reward and the 1st runner up will be rewarded too. Ogugua88 will receive the reward since her monicker is still active. This is a 2013 award and anybody who had an active role as at 1st january 2013 should be eligible while he/she will be ineligible in the next edition.

But people have already started voting, and there's no way tpia could be a nominee for heroic. grin

Why don't you just make it two categories, one for heroic, the other for controversial.
When the real voting starts you could create separate threads for them, but now it's too late for that.

Op: I totally second the above post.. Pleeeeeeease make it happen.

I nominate myself for the category of " Vanguard1's most loyal cheerleader" grin

OP: you said you would address the conflict between the award title, "most controversial" and your definition. You are yet to do so.

vanguard1:
No!!! Since they were moderators few months ago and within this year, they are eligible.

You said "were". Meaning you recognize that they, IN THE PAST occupied positions for the category of award you feel they are eligible for. Your recognition of that fact prooves the invalidity of their nominations.

It is like nominating an impeached president for an award for existing presidents.

They no linger occupy that office and their moniker/handle is extinct. Does it make sense to find them eligible for nominations?

I should be asking you that. Somebody who says engagement ring must look a specific way and must be worn on a specific finger is not as open minded as he would like to think. So go to www.google.com and learn the basics of human decisions. There is no clear cut way of doing anything in this world anymore. Engagement rings these days do not have a specific format. But of course, you can keep living under a rock and keep churning out half baked assumptions.

cheesy learn the basics of human decisions? I find it hilarious that your die hard attempt to come across as knowledgeable/vast/exposed only succeded in giving away your shallowness. I mean, your post is enshrined in incomprehensible ignorance shocked, it's shocking.

I have given you too much attention already cool

Celebrities / Re: Tonto Dike Shows-off Engagement Ring From Boyfriend (Picture) by spicyv1(f): 4:18pm On Dec 16, 2013
AdannayaBella:
You do know that engagement rings come in different styles, right? There is no specific model for an engagement ring. An engagement ring is simply a ring indicating that the person wearing it is engaged to be married.

What the hell is American style? Some wear their engagement rings on their fourth finger on the left hand while some wear it on their middle finger on the left. Where do you guys get it from that engagement rings must look a particular way or that it must be worn on a particular finger? undecided

Google will make a better teacher to you than I could ever be! Question is, are you willing/humble enough to be teachable?
