Talk about impunity, corruption and imposition. The no. 1 is APC. Ambode has very clear legacies in Lagos. For me his achievements are greater than those of Tinubu and Fashola combined. Whatever Tunubu/Fashola started Ambode improved on them. He did not start Lawma but he tried to improve on it. He stopped the nuisance attitude of Lasma and VIO in Lagos. Simply put we have the so called private sector operators who prefer to continue using open and rickety vehicles for their refuse collection business. Visionscape is there to improve on whatever shortcomings there are. Our people want to continue doing the same things and expecting different results. We have refuse all over the place because the operators are in court with government. Clearly the outlook of Lagos is changing as the man tries his very best.

Tinubu started the Lagos - Badagry highway issue just before he left. Fashola spent 8 years. Ambode has spent 3.5 years with a promise to complete the project in 2022. Can the two formrr govermors swear that they did not benefit financially from the contract award of the said project?

If they do not want Ambode back, then it shows that Ambode refused to allow the collective patrimony of the people of Lagos find its was into the pockets of a few individuals. That is what I perceive, so they are making him pay for it and paving the way for the man who will do their bidding. Sanwo Olu has already promised that refuse collection will be free. How can he achieve it? Anyway APC is known to make unrealisable promises. Only those who want to be hoodwinked can continue with them. I voted APC in 2015 but with what I have seen so far from the presidency to Ekiti, Osun and Lagos, if Ambode is not chosen then my vote will surely go to Jimi Agbaje if he wins the PDP ticket.

Like I said I'm not ruling out the fact that students may be admitted backdoor,do read my post again.OP came up with a stat of 10% merit which I'm not comfortable with.
2000-2006 I actually don't Know how transparent the admission process was then but
with the power of internet in this younger generation many can easily see the cutoff points and at same time relate the number of people who merit it or not.
I know of an older brother far north who did score 240+(early 2000) opted for medicine, although he seems to be a State hero and believe he wasn't admitted in Ife based on irregularities in the system.
That same score you will agree with me is not competitive enough and people hardly have access to cutoff Mark then as it is now, The summary is there may be other candidates who scored higher than him and based on merit quota of the University he never merit it.

@op your generalisation of those who passed the cutoff not up to 10 is baseless especially relating schools like OAU, Unilag to your discussion.
Schools especially OAU,UI and Unilag are very competitive and as such higher cut off marks are expected of them.
Check Unilag post Utme results, the highest score was 28/30(93%) and with over 200 students scoring above 80% (these group of students chose the so called competitive courses especially medicine) what do you expect to be the cutoff? 80% may look so high but these students are smart these days and same time smashing the exams from WAEC to JAMB to Utme screening.
I can only talk of Ife(OAU) right now, Saying 10% as those admitted based on merit is nonsensical and baseless,cause I know about 20+ admitted based on merit during my time.
I don't know the school you are attending but having good number of students in your courseof study who cannot express a simple chemical compound calls for this question, which school do you attend?
Finally I don't know about modus operandi of other schools and so I can't generalise , I think back door admission is mostly common in state owned schools(I may be wrong) and call for NUC to step up to investigate all schools.

Wizkid is an irresponsible deadbeat dad that is clueless about using protection to avoid diseases and other unwanted outcomes. Shola fell my hands by not picking herself up and taking responsibility for her child. For all the trash people think, children can see and they know. If a father is deadbeat, you don't have to announce it to the world, the child will see it and eventually choose his mother, if you doubt me, ask 50 cent.

However, if you train the child and they end up taking their father's side against you, you've done your own bit as a responsible parent. Posterity will judge.

Good evening here and happy Friday.

I am student of one of the University here at ilorin and i am into fabric business to help myself

Yesterday, as i was coming back from school; a customer ordered for a fabric and i went to delivered it to her so on my way back home, it's already like 6pm.

I decided to branch at a friend house who stay around the area i went to delivered the fabric but unfortunately, I couldn't meet her at home and her number was not reachable so i decided to trek abit maybe we would meet on the road as the time is around 6:30pm and she isn't the type who stay out for long.

After i pass like 3 buildings to her house, I saw a transparent black nylon near the road (it has almost felt inside the gutter) so i passed it and my instincts told me that was a money from the way it look, I went back to check what was inside the nylon and was so surprised to see a bundle of money wrap together.


I picked it up and waited for like 30minutes in that spot to see if anyone will pass claiming he or she was looking for lost money. After like 30minutes; no one show signs of searching for any lost money.

it's already getting late around 7pm, so i took bike to my house .

Getting home, I opened the nylon and counted the money and it was 106,000

I was feeling somehow and thinking of the condition the person would be because the money look like that of those traders based on the way it was wrapped together so i left my house early in the morning today to that same spot maybe the person might appear or i would see anyone talking about lost money but everyone were busy with their business so i left back home with the money.

The reason why i created this thread is to hear your advice on what to do with the money because part of me is telling me to give the needy the money , another part of me is telling me to use the money on my business and also get a small phone from it because the one i am using presently isn't that good and i need some cash for my business as well.

Please i will really appreciate your suggestions

Moderator should help me move it to appropriate place as i don't know where to post it.
