COdeGenesis: Why are you passing wrong information. I have 4 QA accounts and I run them simultaneously. I use the same paypal account and I receive funds for the 4 accounts via that same paypal it's not false information though, you can run one PayPal with about 5 or 6 email, so why use one for four accounts??! you might get checked, be careful. |

Geofavor: You hear a name while transcribing, but you don't know how it is spelt.
How do you go about it?
Samsard etc. if it's an individual's name, don't stress it, best guess will do. but it should be something close, not something completely off. |

samsard: $2.33 is the base pay, but red files (difficult ones) can be as high as 7-8 dollars for 10 minutes. It's honestly harder than Qa because you have to type speaker tags, instert timestamps sometimes and there's no AI transcript. But I've seen screenshots of people who earn close to $300 weekly, although they're editors too. Aiight, thanks. yeah I saw the timestamp thing and the insert laughter, silence and all that, it was a bit off putting to be honest lol. but I might take the test though, I'll see how it how it goes. do you use otter? |

samsard: Even now you'll see several hundred files on Gotranscript just mostly with terrible audios. what's the pay like compared to QA, like on a 10 min call for instance, how much do you get paid for that? |

Greatihex: I have not seen where they stated whether it supports mobile or not, so you can try to see if you can use mobile. For me, I used a laptop.
they only support Paypal. hi, how long did it take from your submission of test file to being approved? and can you give the average pay breakdown, say for a 5 - 6 minutes audio or something like that. |

That newbie will end up working on calls that are not of his/her category, hence failing and getting the account blocked. Weytin you gain? generationz: Lol you are funny.
First of all, have you seen that he hardly comments on this thread and nairaland as a whole?
What do you think he is doing Monday to Sunday?
You can hit the same minutes if you are not picky with calls, are fast and dedicate most of your time throughout the day to the job.
The keyphrase here is : "Not picky with jobs"
By the time most of you are waiting for American calls, he has done one or two Fc uk calls. I think what's really key here is not being picky with calls, and of course discipline and some fast typing. I remember some 2 months ago, when 200 min was like hitting a landmark for me .. now it's the bare minimum, cos I have doubled that a couple of times in the past 3 weeks or so. So for anyone doubting the possibility of racking up 600+ mins, think again. All depends on how much you are willing to sacrifice for the job. It's as simple as that. |

Na Una sabi pass ni I seriously don't understand why y'all keep asking "should I update" You see an update, you check what's new, if you like it, update, as updates are meant to improve user experience, if you are not feeling what's new, don't update. Surely it's that simple. |

generationz: What Keyboard do you use on your phone?
Instead of breaking it into smaller segments just use the copy all and delete all buttons on next app for the whole work. It takes it all off once.
press Fn you'll see a box with ^A and another with ^x at the top. I use the almighty Google keyboard stock , cos the AI is super smart and I guess the keyboard is very convenient for me. When I say segments, I mean like 3 to 4 , just to make deletion easier, cos if I select all and delete or cut on that auto transcript, it doesn't work, so I segment it a little to make it obey. |

jennyswtie: Please oo, someone should help me out here. I joined Qa because of boredom 2 days ago. And honestly, so far so good. I've successfully finished 2 jobs with a rating of 4. I was on my 3rd yesterday but my time elapsed (I have a hyperactive toddler & currently far gone in my second pregnancy). And since then, the number of calls dropped significantly. From 600 and something to just 5 or 6 when I refresh. And even worse, since yesternight till now, there are no calls to edit at all.
Is there something I'm not doing right? I'm willing to learn. Please don't read and ignore LoL... you aren't doing anything wrong, it's quite normal to have fewer calls on Sunday/Monday morning, it will pick up later, and besides, the amount of calls you see on your queue is dependent on the level you are at. So it's bronze, silver..... Just read the portion in the FAQ where it talks about badges. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by SpongeBobSP: 6:14pm On Dec 08, 2019 |
PattyMike: It's extra carefulness. Efosa suggested copying and pasting the transcripts in another chat bubble and then editting there. I was going to try that but I felt I .
The key is c avoid touching the timestamp. So my advice once you see score of 1 and it's cus by this same problem just leave the redo alone. It's easier for PC users but this new platform will be more strenous on smart phone users but like shite faced Arlen said QA is not meant to be used on a smart phone or tablet. Anyone else who had this like it was Samsard. LMAO JK man JK man lol Arlen and I went back and forth on thus smartphone issue leading to the removal of my old account on Slack . So this is what I do and since nwafresh said we should share , this is my own hack. So I work strictly on my smartphone, and it's been quite easy for me. What I do is I simply break the auto transcripts into smaller section and then I select all and delete all the way to the first bubble, that's the only way to successfully delete those irritating timestamps, that first bubble will still contain the very first timestamp which cannot be deleted, that's way you can start fresh and create your own Cus/rep chat bubble as normal. I tried it first on that Friday with a 3 min call, was rated 4, been doing that ever since, and have only got ratings of 4s& 5s. So for me it's like nothing changed, because the mobile page doesn't even have the loop, play snippet at the bottom of the screen, so for me it's been business as usual. So when she kept saying it's for PC only and bla bla, I had to check her, Pau C was surprised that it could actually be done on a smartphone. Lol welcome to Nigeria PS I use Chrome browser.
