Who knows any affordable courier service that transports to Germany? I have enough time and don't mind if delivery takes upto 10 working days. Name of the courier service, fee they charge and delivery period please.

Senior man! How far?
So these ones you mentioned, I mean the private insurance, are they the same as the AOK that odogwu mentioned earlier, in that I don't have to pay until I get to Germany?
I'll still contact the university tomorrow.
Thanks.

computaholicGoc:
Hey!

Go for PKV - private Krankenversicherung (private health insurance ) if u re over 23 but under 30.

Public insurance like AOK and Barmer are quite expensive tho is worth it if u re working / plan to retire in germany and/or u re sickly.

I once used mawista ( 37 euros pro Monate ). U can google it.

All the best

Much appreciated brother.
Thanks.
OdogwuEkeke:
Well, I have a letter from a health issurance company and I did not pay for it.

You need to send a mail to the international office of your school and ask them for preferred health insurance companies after which you would need to contact them (insurance company) requesting for a certificate of some sort you would give your sponsor.

Kindly note that regions have insurance preferences.

I really appreciate your help on this.
Thanks, I'll mail my school ASAP.
Elninoarmando:

Contact your School in Germany immediately.
Mine gave me some names of insurance companies in Germany to register with this summer semester.
I didn't register because i couldn't travel to Germany then. So,it was of no use to me.
You only pay when you arrive in Germany.

Hi bro, so my sponsor said his state in Germany is asking him for health insurance of the person he is sponsoring (me). I don't know what type of health insurance I should get cos I don't even have much money to pay for that now, so is there any you can recommend, and do you know anyone who needed health insurance to get sponsorship letter?
OdogwuEkeke:
Good Morning, it was indicated. The formal obligation is the sponsor letter. Regards.

You missed the appointment so your details have been banned for 3 weeks when you attend the appointment they remove it from the system if you don't attend they do not allow you book for another 3 weeks.
Oh, okay.
That make sense, cos I was kinda confused.
Thanks.

Why am I unable to book for certification of documents at the consulate, I want to certify some extra docs but it's saying I already have a similar booking. Meanwhile, I didn't go the last time I booked cos of the holidays on that particular day. Does it mean my previous booking hasn't been deleted from the system? Cos I assumed the date had passed and I could just book another.

Basalt:
Those under category B still waiting for visa appointment, you have to pray more now.
There are few bitter things you need to remember.

1. It usually takes 4 -8 weeks after interview for you to get approval mail. Infact during our time, some people's own took over 10 weeks sef.
And once your enrollment deadline passes before the visa decision, your application will most likely be rejected.
So your enrollment deadline and possibility of extension of enrollment deadline can play a big role.
Because my friend got an email then asking her to present evidence of enrollment deadline extension or the application will be rejected, unfortunately her school didn't give her any extension and the visa was rejected due to passing the enrollment deadline.
I heard it's possible to enroll online now, so you can also enroll online when it gets to that point.

2. After 31st September 2021 , embassy will no longer issue appointment for this year. Which means you need to get appointment in July or latest in August for you to stand a good chance of getting German student visa this year.

3. Though Corona situation is getting better in Germany and category B appointment should return to normal right now, but We are still doing our lectures online contrary to our expectations, which means they might assume that new students can still receive the lectures from their countries and therefore not in a hurry to issue appointments.

If you don't get appointment mail after August this year, then it will be extremely hard for you to meet up this year.
So pray more for the appointment, call them if you can, send emails, explore option B.
You barely have 2 months left

The situation appears even more grim every passing day. Sadly some of us have been admitted to schools where you can only enrol in Germany. It's all good. We pray and hope for the best. Fingers crossed things change very soon. wink

The truth is always bitter, Germany doesn't owe us study permit...

We are the cause of our own problems, so because of the few that graduate and get jobs in Germany, the embassy should allow every dick and harry in?
What do you mean every dick and Harry? God forbid this stupid mentality, tufia! Are you telling me every Indian or Pakistani that studied in Germany finished their studies within the allotted time? Or that they too don't drop out? Or that there haven't been thousands of Nigerians that have added value to the German economy after graduation? This generalisation is wrong abeg. We just have a government that don't care enough to look into the plight of their young graduates. They had better stop giving out admissions to Nigerians as a whole, then we know we are exempted from German university admissions, than this unnecessary delays.

You'll need IELTS for Finland. You better start preparing your money cos there's no way around it. Schools in Finland mostly need IELTS.

They're telling you to book ahead before getting admission and you're talking about being reviewed soon.
Which decision have they made concerning category B applicants and rescinded it?

Hmm... Doesn't seem like there's any hope whatsoever. But I'd like to stay positive that things might be reviewed. Cos this decision is effectively restricting the larger population of Nigerian students(especially master's) , cos most fall under cat B. Meanwhile for those that can afford to go through other European countries and then transfer to German universities later, I'll say do that now!

My thoughts exactly, one will have to keep forfeiting admissions. Lol
It just doesn't make any sense. That's why I think it will be reviewed soon.

The same embassy still stated that we should cancel and rebook by April and September. After deceiving people to can and rebook they are doing this nonsense

Mehn, I'm tired. No positive needs has come from this thread lately, it's sad. But I think they'll still review that decision, more than one year is very ridiculous. What's the hell is that? Benin/Togo have dates every 2 weeks for the next two months or so. sad

Oh okay. But are you certain?
So that means even if I'm applying for 3 or 4 schools, I can just take any one of the application forms. Uni-assist or otherwise?

And another thing, will the German consulate observe the public hols on Monday? Don't think they do, but I just want to be sure.

Please OdogwuEkeke or anyone, answer this. Thanks

What they mean is the application form for what you are applying for either admission or anything. Like uni assist application form. They need to know what you are applying.
