Edicoco: Please I was sent a link to redo my job. But when I click on it, it says 'call not ready for transcription' and am still within the deadline. How can I access the job? NB: I am using Chrome, on my mobile phone.
Thanks in anticipation. Check when thr mail came in, if you are sure the time hasn't elapsed, then go on Slack and complain ASAP. |

PattyMike: Is it still getting failed like right now? All this Philippines oyinbo and their tech. I mean if something works just fine, keep it that way and if u want to do updates just make the site a bit finer and maybe less data consumption. Idk sha they know best cus right my rating don fall go 2.3 to pick another call is scary cus you don't know what you'll get. I don't know, cos all my calls have been rated well, without any issues concerning auto transcripts or whatever. I use mobile phone though. |

thorrvik55: Wow. Was it that serious? Yeah, probably for her though, cos for me I was just making her know that the new snippet thing was not making any sense, especially for smartphone users, I think she was really stressed too cos everybody was complaining about the failure of their unnecessary updates, and how scripts were being submitted with the auto transcripts and all that jazz. She went on about how the site is adapted to PC users and everyone should have one, bla bla. Then I'm like if it's so adapted to PC users why are they getting failed submissions.. Pau C even joined the convo. |

Apparently, I got under Arlen's skin yesterday with our little back and forth, cos I woke up to see I've been removed from Slack..lol Sometimes I feel she likes to dish it out, but can't take some. But I like her clap backs sometimes though, it's fun. |

Estringx: For those who complained about starting a work all over again after spending several hours on it. This is what happened; you changed browser. When you start a work with Chrome, for example, end it in chrome. Don't go and continue in an Opera mini. This is applied to either phone or laptop. If you start a work on a laptop, finish it on a laptop. Don't ever continue on a phone.
Don't come here again and start wailing of starting a job all over again, please. I've decided to enlighten you guys more. LMAO Enlighten, he said. |

generationz: They started yesterday or so.
When it happened to me yesterday i almost shed tears.
But i think it's for the best.
Now, if you pick a call but don't want to use your relates token they will help you make it expire. Hmm... True though. But it could also be a disadvantage. Anyhow, now we'll adapt. Like we always do. |

brijibs: Heed the advice o... Same thing happened to me this morning. As is my custom, I'd claim a call and leave it some hours before I settle down to work. But today was a different case. I came after about 3hrs to start working on the job, only to find the job had been released.
If you claim a call and you intend to leave for any reason, ensure you use the prevent inactivity button. I'm not pained, because, I'd not started working on the call yet... Lol.. you no lose. But yeah, I get what you are saying. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by SpongeBobSP: 11:27am On Dec 04, 2019 |
Prinss: So yesterday I picked a long call with 20hrs allotted time Fcc uk, was clear enough and pay was $6+ with just 154 statements. did half and slept to continue this morning. Upon resumption this morning, behold I got "This call has expired" and it was automatically released.
Moral of the story: If you're working on a long call and wont finish it at one sitting. Ensure you RESERVE the call for inactivity. This is why experience is sometimes not the best teacher. How do I pay for the $6 I have already spend in my dream. That last bit is quite funny. Though that prevent inactivity Timeout button hasn't been of much use to me, cos I leave calls overnight a lot, especially long ones , my calls have never expired, I don't know if it's just luck or whatever. |

brijibs: If the email address was spelt out, please spell it. If it was mentioned alone, transcribe it. If it was mentioned and spelled, transcribe it and spell it out too. Overall, make sure you're turning in a transcript that is easy to read and understand. Never have I ever transcribed an email like the way they spell it out, even when they are using the echo, papa, alpha and all of that, I just take that correct spelling and write it in the correct email format, simples, cos I can't be typing A-B-C-D@efghmail.com, just seems odd to me. Has worked for me so far. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by SpongeBobSP: 12:48pm On Nov 30, 2019 |
Estringx: Oh... This is the format I use and they've never penalized me before. You do have to bear in mind that there are different people rating this thing, so it's really inconsistent sometimes, and I've noticed that myself. Some of their SCCs are really strict, going into very tiny details, detailsI know I've gotten away with on other transcripts, even gotten a 5! So just do your own part in making sure you submit your best work, there's not much you can do about these things, it pisses me off sometimes, but it is what it is. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by SpongeBobSP: 11:26pm On Nov 29, 2019 |
Mekanus: I asked this because I did just as you said now, but I was penalized for doing that. The rating note said "Transcribe spelled out words as mentioned by the speaker." And there was another time I just transcribed it as it was spelled out, but they still said "email address format not followed." Maybe I will just transcribe the spelled out words and still bring them together to follow the email format next time. Me I no understand again ooo As long as it's an email address, I ignore all the spelling and amd just write the email in the correct format, has worked for me so far. |

nwafresh: Fading Cycle uk is now the new bae, I must confess. Running a 20 minutes call in 1hr 30 minutes due to good transcripts is amazing. The rejected stone is now the chief corner stone. .. Y'all should permit me to say this. On behalf of the Barcelona fan in the house, I hear by push Sonrun, pan fosta, SOR calls to Marlians and Chelsea fans. Lol.. you probably got lucky, you never see accent, I do lots of those. We the Chelsea fans wholeheartedly accept this P.s working on an SohR call as I type this. |
