Gentiger: Most things in life are calculated risk. If Opoki has the cash to burn, it's okay to include his family in the forms to KCC. Miracles do happen. But to the extent I know and have researched, he's got no chances under the circumstance.

His interview letter says single and 'No beneficiaries.' Then he shows up with a wife and two grown kids at the interview. Haba!! No harm in trying Opoki but I don't give hopes I can't sustain.

Opoki: i just dicover barely a week ago that i won, and i'm yet to send the response letter, i mean DSP.

Opoki: We got married in 2005,i had my first born in 2006 and my second born in 2009.

ksjlar: Wow This is my contribution some months back that @Spoondar have quoted and I am happy it came in handy once more.
I used the third option by filling online and sending by email and I went to interview and got my visa with it so on authority, I can say you can send forms to KCC via email especially if time might not be on your side.

junkerhill: @rotexy, I'm nt sure if the forms can be filled and submitted online. U can fill it online and then print it out cos and DHL it to them wit ur passport. Cos u ar stil goin to sign the form on ur day of interview. I'm nt sure if they wil print it for u wit ur passport if u fill it online.

Then about the DOB, the guy used the wrong one for me o but he told me that I may fill in the correct one and explain to the VO @d embassy....I just hope its not a big deal sha

@house I have decided to print out,fill and submit the application with my Certified true copies of my original documents. Please you mentioned online submission to the KCC...please how do I do that as I actually thought I was going to DHL the application package to them

Gentiger: Spoondar, this is an entirely different case scenario. From all I can read from your post, he was not legally married to the woman at the time of eDV application and the girlfriend/fiance was pregnant at the time, meaning he couldn't have listed an unborn child.

If he marries his pregnant fiancee/girlfriend after eDV application for that year is over and subsequently includes her and the new born child as derivatives, that's very logical and possible.

In this other case there was an omission. If she must obtain her visa, she must maintain status quo. She must remain silent on the kid.

If she files for the child after she's settled with her green card in the US, she risks deportation. Her immigration records is already in a database. If she's already a naturalized citizen then files for the child, she risks having her citizenship revoked on the grounds of fraudulent acquisition. In any case, that child must be left out.

What she could do is to travel out, get her papers then return home to legally file for adoption of the kid. She can now file for him to join her ONLY WHEN SHE BECOMES A CITIZEN. I do not counsel this. I am only showing the legal options open to her.

I have tried so hard to seperate EMOTIONS & SENTIMENTS from my posts because I am trained to say things AS THEY ARE and not AS THEY OUGHT TO BE. Others who show emotions mean so well. They are empathic but that can get you into a lot of trouble.

House, I will like to commend Getinger for that brilliant post of yesterday on the single mother! It's better to say things as it were than to write with feelings and emotions. Once again, for the single mother - It's bettter you go to the interview alone and get that visa for you alone! When you get to the US,you may now file for your son to join you after some years. Is that not better than to gamble and go with your son for the interview? It may actually lead to automatic disqualification. Remember, the visas are limited! If you gamble,however, it's at your own peril because you may be unlucky not to meet the "sweet black angel at window 13".... lol. On a serious note, please fill out your forms and return them without including your 9 year old son, because you never included him originally. Some of these white consuluar officers dey Kolo for head. Dem fit shout say, hey this is fraud!! Once again, the visa's are limited!!

honeydee: i think it would be best to add the boy to the forms. it is stated that you MUST include all your children. If she applies alone and gets to the US, and decides to file for him after some years, how will she explain? i hope we are aware that records are kept and can be referred to anytime even if its in 20yrs. Hiding the kid's existence will only complicate issues for her in future. she can say somebody applied for her. if she lies now she will have to continue lying to cover up the lies. #mypointofview

This is my first time of posting mail in this site. I must commend everyone for their contributions. I see no reason why this country will not change for good. I can read how Nigerians are assisting their fellow brothers/sisters to ensure they pass their DV Lottery Interview. Kudos to those guys that are taking their time to render assistance to thousand of their fellow Nigerians. I can assure you, everyone right here will not reward you but our heavenly Father will surely do. Keep serving and obeying Him....Job 36:11 and Deuteronomy 28:1-13. If you obey Him there is no way He will not bless you and prosper your way.

However, I want to say a big congratulation to everyone that have passed their interview and actually got their US Entry visas. Also to sincerely congratulation those that were selected including my wife, out of millions of entries, for the DV Lottery Interview between October 1st 2012 - September 30th 2013. We, all selectees, are not the best applicants. Millions of people that applied are better than us. It is God's doing and it is marvellous in our sight. I wish you all God favour, mercy and grace to overshadow us on the day of interview. Just believe in God and put your faith in Him. I heard some people saying, it only took the consular just 15minutes and they congratulate him and so on and so forth. Many are not Graduates neither have enough educational background but are artisans - Tailor, Auto-Engineer, Hairdresser, Baker, Truck Driver etc and still they all won. It is GOD that makes it so. We have been selected, therefore, in His infinity mercy, favour and grace, we will be congratulated and rejoice with everyone and sing praises to the LORD.

Gentiger: Thanks man. Most times I just stand on the sideline as an observer. I have been observing all day. Seeing your post prompted my response. There are lots of guys doing well here with their contributions. When I see a genuine need to chip in an opinion, i'll do so.

I'll try as much as I can to avoid detractors. I just wish i could get them off my back. I take no pleasure running anyone down. That's my last resort when the bombardment becomes overwhelming.
