I do not mind any barking but when he called me Mrs. gentiger he went over board. I am married and am not used to correcting people by abusing them first. Never, will i try tooth and nail to smear mad on someone,s face, it is not my character. I have a 24hrs internet service and a 13" laptop that i use to check information thank God got google and yahoo i dont rely or close the deal on the forum. For christ sake everyone try to do your part for God gave you eyes to see. Thank you.

remkay2012: Hello Nairalander, our 2NL was supposed be release for the month of March hoping to do our interview in May but we are still awaiting the letter now we are waiting for June now and my wife (Principal Applicant) may deliver in the same month. What will happen if 1.She deliver the same week of interview. 2) Second week of delivery. 3)A week before interview or exactly before interview?

Pray she delivers before interview you carry her even if it means with an ambulance i read in this same thread a lady who gave birth the eve of their interview. The following day they were there with their new born baby and they got visas plus the bundle of joy. I dont know what happens after the visas have been approved and you have the new born. My Advice, make sure you ask the procedure there as the CO approves your visa let her/him know your wife will give birth anytime from then so as they give you the procedure to acquire a visa for the bundle of joy as well.

Gentiger: Let's start with work.....this is a Very important area for new immigrants like myself. There's little or nothing you can do here without a certification or a form of licence. That include pushing a wheel barrow. America is a society that believes in professionalism and rewards hard work.

Applying for job online will keep you at come for a Very long time. Submitting CV's without evidence of American certification will keep you on the waiting queue, prompting schools who view your CV to start calling you to obtain a certification and become employable.

If you want to do security jobs, that is the most abundant job here. America is security conscious. It's the cheapest training to get and it costs less than $300. After the initial 5 days training, you are given a guard card which is your licence to work as a security official. With this you earn between $9-$12 hourly. If you want to earn more, go for more training, usually for 3 weeks and obtain your gun, baton, hand-cuff and pepper spray permits. With this you earn between $16-$20 hourly.

Just Google security training centers and take off from there if you like this career path for a start. I will tell you more on nursing, teaching, driving, schooling, etcetera. Digest this first. Love you all.

Husmern: 10ks my broda, i understand all wht u av said...first, dis is how d tin happen: in 2012, when we wanted to register, me and my 3 other friends wr luking for a digital camera 2 take our passport, although we cud nt get 1 and we decided to go n take passport with money, on getting thr, they said passport 4 dv lottery was around 1k and we didnt av much with us then but suddenly we saw 1 of our frnd and told us dt he hs done his own with a group 4 free including passport whc was our major challenge then, we quickly run to dis group becos d registratn was already coming 2 an end then and we did everytin with dem. 1 important tin is dt dis group do come to our scul every year to register people 4 free n we do d registratn with dem and u knw we only wrote down our info down and took passport with dem and they said they will do d registratn online later. they didnt even tell us dt they won't giv us d confirmatn no after online registratn, they only told us dt they wil inform us when they r tru wit d registratn. Later when d result came out on may1 we wr curious to knw our faith by checkin our status but confimatn no was not given to us. later we jst bone their side jare...But on june , i received a call dt i'm i so so so and i said yes and he then said congratulation dt i was 1 of d lucky winner and i said i did nt belive until he proved it to me and he said he's coming to prove it face 2 face...before he came i av already known d address for checkin d status and when he came like 5 days after me n my friends went to him and we went to d cafe togeda and we ask for our CN bus he said he cud nt release it becos he's workin for d group dt he's only an agent. but we sha enter d address and he's enterin our CN and year of birth 1 by 1 but my own was d only dt brought d congratulatory page and we did all d neccessary tin dt prove it beyond resonable doubt dt i won and he later explained to us dt out of applicants of 2000 plus he registered for in our scul only 3 wr selected ...he then told me dt i shd go n tell my parent, but when me n my broda went to meet dem they begin story dt they av spent alot of money on applicants they registerd 4 dt only those dt wr selected do pay d money and they said we whd pay like 1million naira b4 they reduce it 2 around 800k, we sha just left d place dt we shd go n get anytin we cud get, but later when we 1st gave dem 80k dt was around august dt my package was sent to kcc....but later i realised dt i av made alot of mistakes first by luking 4 free registratn, second, by not negotiatin with dem very well and now i av fallen to their hand my dad has said he doesnt has much with him anymore, dt's y i'm seeking 4 u guys idea on how to deal with dem now becos first, i dnt want to loose d money i av paid jst lyk dt without gettin d visa i'm lukin 4 and secondly my dad might even think dt i collaborate wit those group to dupe him....i'm going for a meeting with dem on monday actually but i jst want to use u guys ideal to talk with dem..Thanks

It is so sad that such people exist. Here in my country all they do is enter for you and pring out your confirmation number or email it to your inbox and you pay them their fee which is around 9 dollars. You should be the one to stop these kind of people by telling the authority and informing the press to warn people.

Is my turn to testify to HIS glory,I always said that faith put god to work and faith works wonders,we got to the embassy very early before 6am we meet a lot people there,and we join them few min later the seccurity checking started and we ware move to interview hall,we gt to the hall exatly 7am but we met CO1-12 on seat atending to non immigrant there's a lot off denied there so by 8am CO 13 open his window for immigrate intervview,few min after 14 and 15 open and CO 13 caled some. For there his interview really my mind is not with him because I observ that CO 15 is holding our document and I told my wife that that the CO 15 we call us soon,so the CO check and check for almost 10 min before our number apear on his creen and he called us to his window so I was there before my wife.

putting on the heat or ac without the host approval......if you dont want to be a "PREY"

I should NOT take a bath before my HOST and am already awake before she wakes up this is like being in a voluntarily cell. I think when it will come to hosting i think i will be the best Host because i wont mind that and about food i have never limited someone as long as its necessary like lunch while am away. I agree with the rest because they increase the bills but i wont deny them the necessities because am human and i follow the principal "Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you"

daddykelly: yea am relaxed now,my oga @ the top(God) has done it..i moved yesterday evening from okota to onikan in order not to miss the interview...i passed through hell because the guy i was directed to don't even have a wrapper not to talk of carpet or mattrass to sleep on,while i dey sleep 4 under air condition 4 my uncle house @ okota....i have to borrow wrapper from his neigbour because there is no way i can go back to okota @ that time,so i endured.
I woke up around 3:13am because i was nt comfortable,started browsing(if u check u'll see my post around 3:33am).
I arrived @ the embassy like 15 minutes to 5(i was the 1st person there),waited until 6:00am a police man came and scanned us.later we were told to line up(i was no3 in immigrant queue).submitted 2nl only and passed through security checks(very tight).
Paid my dv fee 330 dollars(i paid in dollars) @ window 22.
Later called to submit my documents @ window 17.
After 5 interviews i was called to window 14(a cute white guy),he dint even tell me i just put my hanh there take finger print,the interview went thus:

Gentiger: A word of advice to those just arriving. You will get lots of calls from scammers seeking for your credit card details. They will promise you government grants and jobs too fantastic to refuse all in exchange for a sign on fee which invariably will require divulging your debit/credit card details. When this starts to happen, remember you were forewarned. Additionally, I advice all immigrants to have self development goals in mind. I don't care what you graduate with in Nigeria. Until your record shows you did a program with a certification from a recognized US institution, you won't earn much. To boost your earning, you must of necessity do a program which could be a certificate, diploma or degree course. You can start out with a certificate program and gradually advance to the core programs while taking advantage of government grants. I wish everyone a happy Easter. pator: Pls house I want to confirm from those who have done their medicals if they do X-ray for pregnant women. My doctor said it is dangerous for the pregnancy and against the medical ethics. Will the embassy accept medical report without X-ray?
