vijay82: hi Guys ..this is hopw my interview went.CONGRATULATIONS!!! ![]() |
jidedon2000@yah:Gotchaaaaaa!! request pap!! I must tell the house that you have the most beautiful woman as a wife. Pardon my manners ooooooooooo! truth must be told |
jidedon2000@yah:I also thank God you are faceless i can only imagine how you look jidedon i am very happy to have this thread for my questions and answers, it has done so much to me. I wake up here and sleep here |
daddykelly: @ spoondor...is ur country a holy nation?the misunderstanding we have here is necessary for us to learn...there must be disagreement but not direct insults....am not promoting conflict here, but spoondor if u are not satisfied with Nigeria go and open ur own thread in ur own country lets see if there will be no conflict there!.I respect your views daddykelly, believe me i wont start a thread because i am totally satisfied with this one. |
Gentiger: Spoondar, I personally apologize to you for creating that impression of Nigerians. We're not as portrayed above. Nigerians are peace loving and tolerable.Thank you for taking time to answer and i respect everyone's opinion. I know some will start unleashing their misiles towards me but from deep down my heart i gave no beef with anyone. |
Please dont throw words on me i just want to ask a question. You people are very helpful you are ready to HELP a fellow Naija tooth and nail but at times you are very HOT TEMPERED very fast in throwing stones at each other is this your style? At first i could get freaked out but now am used to it. I am curious because where we are heading to i will meet Naija people so i want to know if this is normal. |
idriez: Thanks.... I've gotten the needed info though will appreciate an estimate of how much the entire process will cost.If you are single it will cost you around $3000 and if married with one child around $8500. I am not from Nigeria so this is an estimate from my country |
idriez: Kindly update me on how to know when one is likely to be called for an interview after submitting ur filled forms. After filling the forms and submitting them we all wait to be current according to our case numbers, then if you are current you receive your 2NL notification letter which has your interview date. Idriez what is your case number? from here you can know when you are likely to be current. Please check the visa bulletin http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html 10th of every month to know the flow. |
missannie: When some1 CN is current in d bulletin, how long those it take to get d 2nd NL?I THINK WE SHOULD START GETTING THEM AS FROM 18TH ONWARDS |
chykezworld: i think d key word here is understanding wat an IMMIGRANT VISA PACKAGE...is...it said who on or after feb.1,receive immigrant visa package frm USCIS........my question; (1).does the pack gvn to one by d embssy, which u hand over at ur point of entry..is it an immigrant visa package? (2).if then not..is the package dat contains ur SSN gvn to u weeks after ur arrival...is it an immigrant visa package? (3). Could the SSN package n the processing of ur green card which u receive after some yrs amount to...the total package of immigrant visa package? My deduction...if immigrant visa package is wat u get frm question .1 above...then it means dat if u wer issued visa on jan.31,2013 u will not pay d new handling charge even if u get to US after march 2013. Else if immigrant visa package is question 2 n 3. Above then u hv to pay for d new handling charge if u get to US on or after feb.1Thank you cheykezworld!! I love it when people are cracking their minds. This is a rare chance and it is good and healthy when everyone speaks his/her mind out without beef |
Leripa: Initially, I was sure it's gonna be applicable to DV Lottery applicants because we also fall under the immigrant visa category. But what brought the confusion is the fact that "DV Lottery" was not mentioned (I'm a layman), which I want to believe is what is also confusing a lot of people on here.Thank you Leripa! atleast we can now concentrate on our 2NL. |
teemola: dont get it twisted spoondar, application processing is what you pay before your interview, green card processing is what you pay at POE.now aaaaaaaaaaaa ooooooooooooooo |
ifeanyi.abdul:CORRECT Any individual who on or after February 1, 2013 receives an immigrant visa package from a United States consulate or embassy abroadmeaning after receiving the visa and get to the US one needs to apply for the green card or permanent resident this is when you pay this fee. Can our learned friends digest this slowly and come back with a clear answer. Note: Applicants will now have two separate fees to pay. They are still required to pay the DOS visa application processing fee, and will now also have to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee. |
peters ife: Gentiner pls does it mean dat those that collected their visa in dec, and plan travelling to america in february 2013 won,t pay the processing fees at the point of entry. To my understanding if you enter the US in Feb this means you will start processing for both your SSN and GC which will take 2 weeks, then you will have to pay the fee. What the Fee CoversIf the applicant is unable to make this payment, another person can make this payment on the applicant’s behalf. Failure to Pay The applicant will not receive a green card until the required USCIS Immigrant fee is paid. Failure to pay does not affect the lawful status of the applicant. While the applicant can use their Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Form I-94, Arrival and Departure Record, for one year to document they are a lawful permanent resident, once that I-94 stamp expires, the applicant will need to possess a green card as evidence of their lawful permanent resident status. OR LETS US WAIT AND SEE WHAT THE CONSULATE OFFICE SAYS but meanwhile save $165 per person oooooooo MY QUESTION IS ![]() ![]() Is this fee going to be included in the visa fee or we shall pay later after obtaining the visa for those who are current and yet to be OR in an easier way of asking did they raise the fee or its a different fee paid to USCIS Note: Applicants will now have two separate fees to pay. They are still required to pay the DOS visa application processing fee, and will now also have to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee. |
Leripa: Having gone through the USCIS website again, again and again, I realised it has nothing to do with DV Lottery winners as @temmytanny has said.Well i dont know what to say |
temmytanny: it doesnt apply to lottery winnersAmen to that brother, who wants more and more additional fees |
Adufesco: I Always praying concerning dis lady in window 13 since & God answer my prayer! I got dere around 5:45 Line up around 6.30am, call me by window 18 pls go and pay! Again window 18 submit ur documents, i do & as i was doing dose things am praying in my mind! Why? becos dat white lady in 16 already denied one guy! One person spend almost 20min with her, she will be asking about ur ssce & institution courses to explain them one by one! I beg read very well to defend urself, cos no one can predict who is going to interview him her! Finally i was called, when i look up saw my numb blinking @ window 13, my mind was telling me dat! Just go dere & succeed? dey dont even ask me about my education and even mistake wey dey 4 my birth certificate and police reportLet me say it again even if last time you understood me WRONG. Adufesco you are very humble from your questions that is why i jokingly asked you if you were a pastors son, i beg dont warn me oooo!!! God blesses you when you are humble. A humble person understands his life. He knows what he is like. We see this in the way that he behaves towards other people. The humble man is not proud of himself. He does not think that he is the most important person. Matthew 5:5 promises that humble people will receive everything. James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, Congratulations once more my brother!! I wish you a smooth transition to the US. |
alfahim: i hope who read zis message it will be try to aneswere to my question how can solve problem orginal edv lottery entry time regarding mistake done on month or date or month & if i send all my docments in email kcc can accept forms?i did the same mistake, i filled in for my hubby and wrote wrong month when entering the eDV but in the DS230 he did write the correct dates so i realised the mistake when i was calling KCC to ask about my forms arrival, they kept on telling me i give them the right DOB it really made me go nuts until i remembered the mistake i made on dates and month called back they confirmed our forms are there and i asked about the mistake she told we correct it at the consulate office during interview. i hope this will help |
jidedon2000@yah:if you get to the US and get the GC before Feb 1st then there are high chances you wont pay. Think about it |
monsieursam64: my sister, d expenses involved is really huge. With d look of things, i think dv winners are still going to pay d fee cos we are also immigrant. I just browsed through USCIS's site and found this " Applicants that doesnt pay, will not receive a GC until d required USCIS fee is paid. Failure to pay does not affect d lawful status of d applicant. While d applicants can use their customs and border protection(CBP) form I-94, Arrival and Departure record, for one year to document they are lawful permanent resident"Then this might be that we pay the 330 at the consulate office but the 165 is paid in the US so that you get the GC. If this is the way it is gonna be then people will be relieved. Am telling you this thing if one doesnt have money sources is headache, we must thank God for our jobs and bosses. |
Adufesco: Wow! MY God is so great, had my interview about few minutes ago Na dis black Angel 4 window 13 again o 4 Question under 20 sec. Pls am coming back! Lol!Almighty GOD has done it!!! BIG Congratulations brother. Our God is TRUE |
jidedon2000@yah:It is confusing but let us wait and see what shall be. OMG another additional fee this damn American thing is so EXPENSIVE no wonder many people dont make it to the interview. Can you imagine a young man or girl from the village with nothing but a DREAM to go to America, has just won the DV Lottery and she has to foot for her passport, police certificate, Medical fee, Visa fee and Air ticket. You see what i mean when i say that "some dont make it" Ooh i wish everyone who was selected a financial break through for this American Journey. |
USCIS Immigrant Fee Effective February 1, 2013 About the Fee Foreign nationals who seek permanent residence in the United States and receive an immigrant visa will need to pay a USCIS Immigrant Fee beginning February 1, 2013. The new fee of $165 was established in USCIS’s final rule adjusting fees for immigration applications and petitions announced on Sept. 24, 2010. USCIS has worked closely with the Department of State (DOS) to implement the new fee which allows USCIS to recover the cost of processing that is performed in the United States after immigrant visa holders receive their visa packages from DOS and are admitted to the United States. Note: Applicants will now have two separate fees to pay. They are still required to pay the DOS visa application processing fee, and will now also have to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee. What the Fee Covers The immigrant fee will cover the cost of USCIS staff time to handle, file and maintain the immigrant visa package, and the cost of producing and delivering the permanent resident card. Who Needs to Pay the Fee Any individual who on or after February 1, 2013 receives an immigrant visa package from a United States consulate or embassy abroad (including Canada and Mexico) will pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=3a2bb75e8109b310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD |
tinubaby: Hi guys , i need your advice ASAP. my interview is coming up and i dnt wanna be denied. reading about prince charming really got me scared. its so sad. i filed inmy educational qualification and also my job experience but looking at it now, im not sure my job would qualify me for the visa. would i be asked if i want to go through with my work experience or educational experience cos i think it would be fair if the co considers my education instead of work since that doesnt qualify? i wish prince charming would tell the house if he had the minimum ssce requirements so we could tell if he was educationally qualified and rejected or if he also didnt have his ssce. i also wish he would tell us his occupation as well. i was gonna take my employment letter wit me but i thnk il just present my school certificate and hide the employment letter in another envelope in case the co asks.wat do u guys thnk? pray for me o. i also want to share my success story o. no be only congratulations i want tell people. make people sef tell me congrats wen my time reach oooooIn my country people are asked to choose any of the two before the interview continues. I dont know about your education limits in Naija but if you are at their BEST i will strongly advice you to go through education it is much easier and faster than work experience. |
adzovia: please i decided to research on your issue. i came across someone with the same issue from Nigerian he asked a lawyer for an advice. please here is the link http://www.justanswer.com/immigration-law/5oqjs-brother-won-diversity-visa-lottery-nigeria-went.html and read it.You are such a darling, this will not only help PrinceCharming but many other people, By your observation or advice what do you think would be better for people who are going for interview and their careers are abit tricky apart from Doctors, Attorneys, Engineers and the likes, dont you think its would be better if they get interviewed by Education Qualification if they think they have the pass. What is your take on this, what is your ADVICE? Kindly share something |
Princecharmingobi: Hi everyone, me and my wife was denied our dv lottery visa on tuesday, the issue was that they claimed in the denial letter and below is their statement,This is sad for you PrinceCharming, what did they interview you on as in Education or Work Experience Qualification? I understand some people are asked to choose from the two and if you chose work experience did you demonstrate that you have two years of qualifying work experience in the last five years immediately prior to application. Qualifying work experience must be in an occupation that, by U.S. Department of Labor O*Net Online http://www.onetonline.org/ Database definitions, requires at least two years of training or experience that is designated as Job Zone 4 or 5, classified in a Specific Vocational Preparation (SVP) rating of 7.0 or higher.. All in all follow your heart and God will fight for you brother, I wish you a success trial. |
