Anybody who watched Xhaka knows that Xhaka under Wenger/Emery and Xhaka under Arteta are two different Xhakas and it certainly not because of goals.
But how would you know when na livescores you dey watch Instead of wanking on my commitment to live scores why don't you use your mb to explain what Arteta added to Xhaka apart from goals. AnfieldFan: At the bolded, for Liverpool or for Netherlands?
Even at that, reducing what Lampard did for his team and what Ward does currently to just scoring goals doesn't capture their true influence on the pitch... Bellingham has scored a lot of goals for Madrid, and while it has won them points and helped them lead La Liga, Bellingham is still an ever important player when he doesn't score... What makes Bellingham stand out? His goals or his passing/tackling? |

Shegzdave: Like I said, I don’t judge a player based on stats cause it can make a bum look world class.
So a quick question, are you in anyway insinuating that RVP and Giroud are at par or Giroud is better? I will answer you straight with patience. First of all, I am not arguing Giroud Vs RVP. Secondly I have never said Giroud is better. I'd be stupid to do that. Thirdly what I am arguing is if Giroud was 'very very average' for Arsenal according to Jodera. (Please note that by saying very very average' it a kind way of saying useless) To buttress my point I compared his years with us to that of other strikers. (Jodera and co only hooked on to RVP simply because it was a cheap score. That's because RVP was not the only striker I brought up, I also brought up Adebayor and Lacazette) My point is that given that Giroud has a G/G of 0.42 close to RVP 0.47 or Adebayor 0.43. We cannot emphatically say that he was useless unless we also want to say that RVP and Adebayor are useless. Any argument should have been against Giroud not for RVP. For example they could have argued that Giroud did not contribute much to assists or that Giroud never instilled confidence in his teammates. That's OK. There was no need to start arguing in favour of RVP because that is not the purpose in the first place. I hope? |

Jodera: Lmaooo, You don't know what you're talking about if you think Lampard is all about Goals. Someone that have one of the best passing range and vision is whom you say is all about Goals? Na now I really confirm say you be stats master
As for ward-prowse. There's a reason why he's not a highly rated Midfielder aside his deadballs specialty. Like I said as usual, keep on watching Livescores iyeh .
You can call it self delusion but na only person wey dey watch stats will make its first point of call to grade a Cm/Am with goals instead of the creativity and balance they bring in midfield. Stay there make pant they wear you. Ward-Prowse is highly rated that's why West Ham signed him and that's why he is a main stay in their midfield and that's because of what he is special at. Some midfielders are good at one thing or the other. Some passing, some tackling, some pressing, some goals. What ever it is will sell that player. Therefore when midfielders are being graded, we don't only look at passing or tackling, we can also look at goal contributions. In fact that was one of the things Arteta added to make Xhaka a fan favourite. Like I said, dey there make pant dey wear you 😁😁😁 |

Jodera: You don't get it? The first thing people rate Midfielder are your ability to control, be creative and dictate tempo. Saying they're at par in goals is you not saying anything if he still ghosts in midfield when he's suppose to be creative, control Midfield and bring stability. Nobody likes wannabe McTom kinda performance
Odegaard for example in the season we finished 5th scored only league goals if I'm not mistaken but guys here was already happy for what he brings.
My point is that don't be clever by half.
Is Havertz better than Xhaka so far? Yes or No? There are many midfielders whose specialty is goals. From Lampard to Ward-Prose to Wijnaldum. Some do not even contribute significantly to control. Their job is to make a late run into scoring positions. I know that Wenger wanted Ramsey to grow into that kind of player. Meaning that goals can still be a yardstick to judge midfielders. That said, there's what is called self delusion. That is someone trying to convince himself of what he knows is not true. What is not true here is that I said Havertz is a better player than Xhaka. When I have already said that though they are at par on goals but Xhaka gives more control. You are now free to believe what you want. |

Jodera: Is this not what we expect from a good Midfielder? Bringing that creativity, control and stability in midfield?
Like I said, keep on watching Livescores.
Imagine saying Havertz and Xhaka are on par presently because of goals scored and not because of what they bring in midfield.
Let's use Rice for example. You think it's the goals he scored that's making people hype him the way he's been hyped presently?
Na wa to you ooo Lol. You know that whenever agenda wants to agenda, people start calling ship sheep. Because I know that comprehension is not an issue for you. I said their goals contributions are at par but Xhaka brings more than Kai. How is this wrong? Your agenda no make sense bro. |

Shegzdave: Can you check their minutes played and compare it with their goals scored
Van Persie- banged 30 goals twice while with us, win a golden boot with us, was mostly out injured and still dropped good numbers.
Giroud- highest goal tally with us in the league was 16, was mostly fit, went on some goal drought despite we chasing the league.
One was good with us and the other was average. Do you want us to go by goals per min? Will you change your stance if Giroud matches RVP? You know you are not honest with your assessment. Are we comparing their best season or their entire Arsenal career as a whole? because twice Van Persie scored just 5goals in a season. |

mostob: According to your last paragraph, the stat was not enough to rate Havertz ahead of Xhaka right? Because Xhaka brings more stability and leadership on the pitch.
So why did you disagree when we told you the stat was not enough to put RVP and Giroud in the same class? Rating a player above another is different from placing them in the same class. RvP has better stats than Giroud there is no doubt about this, it is clear. But their stats are close enough to place them within the same class. Meanwhile... I didn't say the stats were not enough. I said based on their stats so far, Xhaka and Havertz are at par. That is they have the same results basically. Xhaka scored just 7 goals last season. Havertz has only 4 with about 19games to go. He can still easily surpass Xhaka's record even with fewer games because he will not play up to 37 PL this season. I only concluded that the reason I will still prefer Xhaka (for now) is because of the stability that control games and the leadership too. |

mostob: Oya
Who was more effective?
Who has the better stat?
Answer these questions Xhaka scored 7goals last season in 37games. Havertz has 4 already. So basically for now they are at par. That's their goals contributions. However Xhaka brings more in terms of stability and leadership in the midfield. |

Some people just like argument sha How can you just jump into an argument without first finding out the premise. Na wa for you. I keep saying that this is an argument about whether Giroud is useless or not but about RVP Vs Giroud. Even from the figures they is a difference in their outputs which no one has disputed. The question is based on that difference can you say Giroud was useless? I don't get how ten people in this forum can't comprehend a simple statement. If Van Persie scored 0.5goals per game and Giroud scored 0.4goals, can we say Giroud was useless? Simple question you guys turned it to Giroud Vs Van Persie. BlueRayDick: How can u take away his last two seasons? Everybody that watched Arsenal knew Van Persie was almost always injured which frustrated him and the fans alike.
When he was eventually healthy he proved he was not an average striker like Giroud was all through his stay at Arsenal. I see u struggle to accept Giroud was average all through his stay, but it is what it is.
Their goal haul is there for everyone to see na Haba! You are isolating two seasons for Van Persie but taking 6seasons for Giroud. That's not fair. Giroud wasn't exceptional but he was average in terms of being useless either. He is just a normal striker. He is currently the record goal scorer for France. If this does not mean a thing to you guys then no apologies. |

If any revolution will succeed in this country, it must start in the north.
My reason for saying this is very simple; the southerners can easily be divided by the government along tribal lines, religious lines, cultural lines and so many other lines u can think of. The northerners are much more homogenous in their culture; once they band together to take a course of action they are mostly indivisible.
I may be wrong tho, but that is what I think You are right. I also believe that no matter what divides us, at a point hunger will unite everybody. |

We are grading Giroud using RVP as a yard stick in games played for Arsenal. You guys are including games played for other clubs and still think you're making sense? Modified: I have seen the correct stats and I was expecting someone to make a statement on those stats. Permit me to do so. I think that 0.5 for RVP and 0.4 for Giroud does not translate to Giroud being useless. In fact statistically they can be classed together when you factor in the performance statistics of someone like Henry at the upper limit and Lacazette at the lower limit. This has always been my point. Mind you, no one is saying that he was a better player than RVP, but what we are saying is that he wasn't useless as erroneously claimed by some of you. A better breakdown season by season confirms that RVP only had a good season in his final two years for Arsenal especially his final year. Before that he was basically average. Giroud on the other hand wasn't spectacular but managed to deliver double figures each time apart from his final year. I have included that of Henry as reference.
