But the sooner you realize that Arteta is here and there is nothing you and I can do in the main time to remove him, the better. We cannot wish him failure cos doing that means wishing the club to fail.

And whichever way you take it, Arteta took us from the bottom of the league from Gameweek-4 to 5th position is something, we almost got 4th position sef. And considering he has the youngest squad with most of them just start playing together. So if we base our assessment on the results alone, we can say he is the 5th best manager in the league for now, while I agree Arsenal is bigger than Arteta, he is not someone I will call clueless.

I do not wish to debate Nketiah with you, but very very few people will call someone that scored 5 goals in 8 matches he started "clueless". If only Laca has been giving us that conversion rate of late, we would have probably extended his contract. If we dont sign him for 100k/wk other clubs will.

lol I really dont't think Tielemans is Partey's replacement. The Midfield players we are getting are just to strengthen our team and provide more options, not to replace Partey. I don't even know why we are talking about Partey's replacement when the guy is not leaving us any time soon. Maybe the phrase should be "Partey's backup" in the event of Partey's getting injured again, in that case we would just have to pray for less injury and make use of the options we have.

Let's be honest with ourselves here, there are few players worldwide that can play Partey's position better than him, and if we must go for them, we should be budgeting serious money here. Like Roland17 often says, Partey is one player that can easily walk into any 1st 11 of any team and get a permanent place. We are blessed to have him and I doubt anyone is looking for his replacement at this time. We all saw how weaker we became and how clean sheet suddenly disappeared when he got injured last time. I will vote for him as the Captain of that team.

You're downplaying Partey's role again and the worst part is that you're thinking Tielemans can play there just because he's a Midfielder.

We need quality in that Midfield and attack and this obsession about Tavarez not been good enough will be forgotten. Worst of it all is that Tavarez Is not even a first teamer. We've gotten an Lcb in Trusty (24yrs) and Rcb in Saliba (22yrs)/Holding as CB backups. We've got Cedric and Tavarez as fullback backups. Let's forget anything about defence abeg or else we'll keep on resetting it even till our 10th generation.

Midfield and attack is weak and needs to be settled, why are we worrying ourselves over 2nd choice fullback?

lol. The club has not signed anyone yet now and I doubt Tierney's back up is their main priority. You know how this negotiation goes na... Getting agreement with the selling-club and personal terms with quality players takes time. Those easy players comes much quicker.

I think our priority has always been, CF 1st, that is why the 1st rumor was about signing Jesus and getting Nketiah to sign a new contract.

2nd priority is in the midfield (CM/DM), There have been continuous talk about getting Zinchenko and Tielemans both are to strengthen our midfield and we have also extended Elneny's contract.

I dont really think we will need to get Hicky or any other defender again if we get an utility player like Zinchenko (who can help both at the back and in the midfield), and with Saliba coming back.

We would only need to get another winger if Pepe leaves.

So basically, if we get Jesus/Nunez, Zinchenko and Tielemans, then we have little or no more business to do in the transfer market. I want us to keep the core of the present team and minimize all the multiple experiments Arteta was doing early last season.
