Meanwhile, our final ball is very poor to break up these Molde guys |

Jodera: I won't lie, I never really liked elneny as a player pre-arteta. He wasn't adventurous, he did more side way passes than ever. In fact, I never wanted to see him anywhere near the first team, except there's no choice (I see him as best as a squad player). But since going out on loan and coming back, he improved exponentially. Whether it's through the loan he improved there, or Arteta improved him, I don't know. But I know I love the elneny I'm seeing now.. For xhaka, at best, I'm seeing him as a squad player. Until he improves and take his chances, I will always see him as such. That's the mindset. Even the seemingly worst players can improve and become coveted. I believe that Xhaka can still be the desired player we hope for. |

Jodera: Lol.. E tire me o, seeing that his response. In my mind, I'm like "is it that this guy just want to ensure he wins argument by force or what?". Cos why most of us are berating xhaka here(or guen then) mostly is simple to understand.
To be sincere, that response tire me Check Elneny's touches and compare the number of side passes to forward passes, it's 4-1. The good thing is like what Kokaneprodigy said, they were necessary. And just before you throw away Xhaka like a demon possessed child, remember Elneny you guys are worshipping now. Clear tactics, direction and competition always bring the best out of players. A player like Elneny who has good movement and foot work plus a high level of passing range will definitely thrive under Arteta. Good players will always find their feet. Also like Luiz, I believe that Xhaka will find a way back into the team and we all will be happy for it. He has good passing range too and only needs to up his game. This will give Arteta good trouble for selection and we fans happy moments. |

kokaneprodigy: Even AM and CF make side and back passes, but making unnecessary back/side passes particularly when it kills the attack flow is what we are saying here.

Jodera: Then you just want to bring talk na.
Even prime xavi and iniesta do side and back passes from time to time. Even kdb too. That doesn't mean they are known as sideway passers. If you just want to deep talk about it, you can go on. This is simple for anybody to understand what we're saying, no need to overstretch the side pass or back pass issue So then I don't know if it's you but some peeps here just go on to whine about side ways passes as though they were forbidden. Thanks gracious you acknowledge that side ways passes have their usefulness and purpose. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 4:29pm On Nov 03, 2020 |
Jodera: Those side way passes they made was borne out of necessity than norm. Even elneny beat his man to make forward passes sef. Something xhaka and guen hardly does.
The way elneny played ystdy was the exact way I want my cm to always play in arsenal. Give first time, forward passes, through passes, drive with the ball and to create space, then pass and if no way forward, back/side pass.
We're not against side pass, but wen side passes becomes the norm instead of emergency, then it kills the team flow and attack. You don't have to state this. It's taken for granted. The fact is they made side way passes. As you can affirm, side way passes aren't bad, it's just depends on the outcome. |

iskoki: Better cool your horses. All of you saying you don't want to see Xhaka, Ceballos or whomever in that team should remember we still have close to probably 40 games to play this season. Every body will have their opportunity, how you they use it is left to them. You are right. Players also tend to improve due to who they are competing with. |

kokaneprodigy: Spy will tell you a DMs job is to play sideway passes, Partey must be a terrible DM CM actually. It wasn't obvious because we had two CMs in a double pivot. Both were on the ascendancy we made them make a lot of forward passes. They still made plenty side way passes but enough forward passes to make you happy. |

Pepe play corner hit side net ---- Arsenal needs AM

I don't have binoculars, is there any other way I might observe? You can see them with your naked eyes but not the details as in for example, you wont be able to see Jupiter's 4 moons or Saturn's rings. |
Education › Re: General Thread For All Lovers Of Astronomy And Space by Spy360(op): 7:52pm On Oct 30, 2020 |
beauty7: Wonderful. There is a blue moon today/tomorrow. A blue moon is when we experience another full moon within the same month. Also, for planet watchers. Right now, Mars is still very traceable as it is near the moon. It has been very visible for some time now. I believe it is very close to us as I could see it during early sunset. Also Jupiter and Saturn are very observable right now. If the moon is at the east, trace both giants at the west. Jupiter which is bigger and nearer is the brighter one, Saturn is further. If you have a pair of binoculars you could easily see them. Osayi90 |

Jodera: If this was the issue, I wouldn't be too critical of him as I am now.
Even with the space he has and one on one situations, he still tends to delay his dribble or over do his dribble. He's not fast wen beating his man, and this makes opponents to double up on him. In fact, his style of dribble is this kind of dribble we do on street whereby would dribble our marker and we'll still be in that spot. Typical shaku shaku movement. It hardly beats his man and moves forward. That's what really annoys me with his play. He needs to start from there first before we'll see any improvement in his wing play.
For the rest you're spot on, except me I'm seeing willian as someone who isn't creative for that Am role sef. But auba needs to move to the center Asap An AM will help Pepe to shine. He doesn't need to dribble and run, I'd rather he dribbles and pass... |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 9:01am On Oct 30, 2020 |
BlueRayDick: Pepe weyrey finally scores.
Well I'm still not impressed Pepe obviously isn't worth the 72m we paid, but he isn't as bad as he looks now. We have to play to his strength and use him well. Pepe thrives with space and one on one situations. Meaning that he needs off the ball runners who can pull away markers from him. That is the job of an attacking midfielder. Arteta can start using Willian in that role until we get someone in Jan. Also, Nelson gave a good showing in that winger position. He can be useful for us. We have two options for the LW with Saka, Aubameyang should play CF. I sorry for Arteta if he fails to use Auba as CF because fans will come after him. Arteta should just humble himself and listen to us. |

Jodera: 2 goal keepers rarely goes to injury in one match. It's like Leicester carrying the league (once in a blue moon) There is going to be a blue moon this month October. This is not a figure of speech, it's reality. Google it. Lesson: Blue moons do happen more frequently than you think. |

Jodera: I agree with you, but it doesn't negate the fact that that's what Arteta wants from lacazette and lacazette is failing woefully in his role.
And he's part of the people killing arsenal attack You cannot have expectations where there are no potentials. Lacazette is not that type of player, so how can Arteta expect him to reinvent himself? He failed to resolve the Ozil situation and also failed to sign an AM. He can only hope on extra ordinary performance from his front men. But as for expectations? Nah |

Jodera: Because of his greedy brother which I feel is his agent. That's why arsenal backed out of arsenal deal cos there was already breakthrough with Lyon the club.
But you're making it seem like Arteta chose partey over aouar wen asked to go for one which is not so at all. Agent fees are fixed in Euro zone countries based on percentages. This is a flimsy excuse that Arsenal can give. Bro there was no money. Simple |
