Neither Torreria not Dhaka are up to this task, and while Chambers did a good job as a DM for Fulham I doubt it he is good enough at a higher level.If we had a quality DM like Ndidti,we could adopt a 4-3-3 system which is favoured by the top four in the PL and use the likes of Guendouzi and Willock as box to box midfielders which would provide energy and drive to support the front three who have got to work just as hard on their defensive capabilities as they do in attack.

The front three of Liverpool and Man City work their socks off to regain possession something which is lacking in Auba and Pepe but is their in Martinelli. In essence, to be successful in today’s game, everyone has to bust a gut if the team is going to be successful.In such a set up I’m afraid there is no room for a number of our midfielders such as Ozil,Ceballos, Torreria and Xhaka .We have decent full backs in Bellerin and Tierney to fit into such a system and only need one quality CB to partner Saliba next season to make it work.

Get in any manager who can reason like the above post, the bolded is a major concern.

In my experience in football, any system can work for any team once they can master it. Ruling out Torriera especially is undermining him. The likes of Kante, Mascherano and Makalele didn't have the physical build but were strong and resilient. They were looked down on but became the best.

Let's try Torriera first and see how he can master the position. Another is Chambers.

Note that while personnel is important, any team can adapt any tactics. Now that we have more wingers than ever, a wing base tactics is what makes sense really.

Torreira obviously isn't up there with Fabinho at all. As a matter of fact, after Wilfred Ndidi the next in rank in that particular position is Fabinho. He's rock solid in that position.

True what you said of Xhaka. But he isn't that bad na. Some slow players know how to manage their space through game reading. I believe Xhaka can learn to manage space despite those shortcomings. The point is that Arsenal can adopt that system and use it to a level of effectiveness better than what we have now.

Xhaka is a better player than Wijnaldum apart from Arsenal. A good coach can use him better. Guen is still growing who knows what he will turn out to be. Kroos?

Besides, a good coach can train those boys and drill them very well to master each others game. That's what Klopp did and it's working. Apart from VVD, I can see any really exceptional player in Liverpool including Sarah and Mane. Place them in another team like Arsenal under a coach like Emery and see how shiit they would look.

Earlier in the season when Tierney and Bellerin were both injured we managed to win games and were actually third, and I felt like OK if those two return there is no way we won't be able to challenge City or Liverpool for second position. But here we are... They returned and we even had the likes of Saka, Martinelli and Willock growing fast into top ballers. Guys who can act as super subs. But here we are...

The formation is actually what Liverpool use.
Mane........... Firmino .......... Salah
Wijnaldum... Fabinho.. Henderson
Roberts.... VVD .... Lovren... Arnold
...................... Alison .......................

There is no no10, all midfielders are defensive but with ability for long pass. Arnold and Roberts push up, Wijnaldum and Henderson spread wide to cover them, Mane and Salah open up and join Firmino putting pressure on opposition defenders. Notice that both Mane and Salah are inverted which allows them to have a direct shot at goal with an unmarked foot.

The beauty here is that the system has been so perfected by the players that it seems orchestrated and easy to watch.

At the beginning of last season Emery used his fullbacks to great effect. So we felt he would do better with wingers. He got Pepe. But here we are...

I think he should go back to that formation while keeping his wingers inverted. This means he should play without a traditional no 10.

Emery needs to go. Our style of play is so so pathetic. How the board is even giving him ultimatum with such a very poor style of play is even surprising. I expected the sack after Leicester's game but since they increased the deadline, I'll wait to see how it pans out. I can't continue to wish my arsenal to lose(so as they sack d man). My brother, if you have Ox in your bench, you have a very good bench. Remember that if he is in your bench then he can't be anywhere else.

He may not be consistent like giving you 20goals or assists a season (if he does that he won't be on the bench anyways) but he can give your opponent a run for just 15mins as a sub.

Don't even attempt to change your view for any reason.

The point wasn't that these were starters, but benchers. A bench comprising of Origi, Ox, Lallana, and Shakiri would be the envy of most top clubs in top leagues. This is fact.

But I will attribute Liverpool's dominance to Klopp's tactics. He has managed to instill a level of performance in his squad that as long as his key men are available on each match day, they will likely win. It will take a drastic change in personel to actual break it. This is similar to Man City of two seasons ago.

When you look at this Liverpool team you easily spot their secret - Klopp. It's not the players though they are good ballers. It's the coach.
He has instilled his tactics so well on his players, they simply ride the game. Similar to what Pep did two seasons ago with City. It will take losing 3-4 core players to break this dominance.

I won’t agree cos other players never got the kind of multiple shots he got in that role. Guen-Emery relationship is like Giroud-Wenger relationship, they were favoured by the manager.

I had expected Emery to at least rotate Ceballos, Xhaka,Ozil and Torreira consistently so that can sync. These guys have got the experience to easily adapt. Emery was building our midfield around Guen.

How do we convince Ceballos, Torreira to stay?

I have always said I will be objective in my assessment. When we were 3rd, it was irratiinal to lay evidence against him. So I oppined that he was 'grinding out' results. The mumu probably spoilt his grinder, and here we are.
