Excallibur: funny that nuer still benches him in the NT Goalkeepers are selected not based on ability but on trust. Who do you trust the most. That is why once a keeper starts games it is hard to displace him. We all knew Leno was better than Cech, but Cech started games earlier in the season. |

BlueRayDick: What He is saying and a whole lot of others have been trying to say is that: the boy is not ready for first team duty. He should play more of Carling cup and FA cup with them Bukayo Saka, Wilock and co. Maybe even Europa league. He is not ripe for the hard pressing and breathtaking EPL matches week-in week-out.
Ffs! The boy is no Mbappe or Messi at his age, he just has potentials. He should be allowed to grow through the ranks like dem Rob Holding. Look at how Holding has been quite good prior to his injury this season. That is an advantage of allowing a player with potential grow through the ranks.
The boy has been having good games in recent times prior to yesterday, but Arsenal wants to be considered a title contender once again, then its definitely not with that chap starting in our midfield. You sef reason am; tottenham with Eriksen never win league, na Arsenal with Guendouzi wan win am? Absolute nonsense. Is Arsenal Barcelona or PSG that one has to be a Messi or Mbappe to play in the first team? This is a mediocre Arsenal, that if Guendouzi is good enough he should play. Funny part was that despite his error he still had the second highest rating, a higher rating than Torriera who he shared the midfield with. You lots either are bad at observing talent or you are just sentimental. |

iamoyindamola: Make I hear any slowpoke rate that girl again This is an irresponsible comment. Any player can make errors. Even our beloved Koscielny has killed us several times, yet we rate him. Question is how many times have such errors occurred? That he demanded the ball deep into his half showed the level of confidence he has despite being a teenager. No one is saying he should have the balloon dor, but for heaven's sake, allow the young man to develop and enjoy his career. While destroy him so early. |

Roland17: No, not this season for me. While he is a talented, energetic and a good central box-box midfielder, he is still young, fragile, inexperienced and new to the EPL to bench either Torreira or Xhaka. These issues are buttressed by nack to go wandering and losing vital positioning. Please can we stop playing him higher up the pitch already? I mean behind the front 3 because he is not a distributor, he has good short passing and that is good for a central box to box midfielder.
I believe he will take over at some point especially since he is young. But we have to slowly transition him into the first team. He should be making appearances but starting ahead of Xhaka/Torreira this season? That would be exaggerating his current level.
Let me make it clear that having a different perspective about a player does not mean you don’t like or believe in the said player. I am one of Ramsey’s biggest critic on this thread but I never fail to commend him when he played well or express happiness that he got paid and is moving to Juventus. My question came with conditions- right formations and tactics. Honestly I do not rate him above Xhaka or Torriera, but based on his performances I think that when needed in the starting line up, he is good enough to be picked. |

Roland17: Now you are drifting away from the argument. I never argued for or against Guen today, I only came in after you claimed he was the MOTM and I questioned the credibility of your assertion because the official organizers have someone else. This is not about Guen being in the team or now, that is an entirely different argument. Someone said he is useless. I said he was MOTM against BATE, you said I should provide source which I did. Give us your conclusion. |

solomonbrown64: ..... It's not just about the combo bro, I am talking about what Xhaka brings to the team, at the moment, no one else in that team can carry out his role as effectively as he does.....He can play with Guendouzi too and the teenager hasn't been bad when he plays with Xhaka.....our last match before today is proof of that.....My point is: Xhaka is what makes our play ticks not the combo.... Torreira has his bad days too, that doesn't mean he is bad, does it?
....Bro, I rate Guendouzi very highly.....if he is as bad as you say, PSG won't be coming for him in the summer for 60m plus...the guy is a future star.... everyone can see that...he has been immense for us but he is not the finished product yet. We have won games with him in midfield and also capitulated without him too....
....He has his moments and games too but saying all he does is pass back and kill our attack is not true. it's not his fault that Emery has been putting in 7 - 8 defensive players on the pitch to cover the defense until recently. Hence, no outlet to put in the passes.
....He was rested today but I am certain he will start in the mid week match. The lad has been impressive That's how they bad mouthed Ramsey and never saw anything good in him until a big club like Juventus decided to pay him £400k a week and they were left mouth wide open. mumu fans |

solomonbrown64: ..... Forget today's win; the inability of our strikers to put away sitters is worrisome....both Auba and especially Lacazette have squandered chances which in turns puts the team under pressure.... against better opponents, we will pay for such waste......
......As impressive as Guendouzi is, and important as both Torreira and Iwobi is to our team.....The key player here is Xhaka.... without him, the team lacks shape and purpose....He is Arsenal's Jorginho......Until Guendouzi becomes better than he already is, Xhaka is key.....
... Shout out to Michi.....he was immense today....COYG! Now here is q balanced comment. Guendouzi can understudy Xhaka. He can also be as good as he is and give an equally quality performance. |

Roland17: Lol. Sky sports is a sports website and not the organizers of the competition. ESPN, BBC and others may have Xhaka but it would have meant nothing if the official competition recognized someone else. The official MOTM from Uefa is Xhaka.
Ironically if you look closely at the sky sports rating, Xhaka scored the same 8 points that Guen had. However, on Uefa he does not gather more points than Mustafi and Litch worth more Xhaka. Maybe you should say according to sky sports. My point is that at least one reliable rater awarded him MOTM. Why would you or anyone regard him as no starter? Why should I accept your rating as against that of Sky Sports? |

Roland17: Man of the match according to who? Which leg? If you are speaking of the 2nd leg, the official man of the match from Uefa handle was G. Xhaka with Mustafi and Litch coming close. Xhaka, Mustafi and Litch made the team of the week and I don’t see Guen. So I don’t know which MOTM award you are speaking of, except I am missing something. Check Sky Sports oga. |

MrDojo: To be fair, the players we have can't cover his (Ozil's) flaw (s). And, yes the man is the best chance Creator we have in the team. But on a personal note I think Ozil's time in Arsenal is over. I know you don't agree.
Hopefully, if Emery reintroduces him into the team, he can prove people like me wrong. But, I doubt it will happen. Play Torriera behind him. We can't have such a talent as Ozil wasting on the bench. He can be sold come summer but for now use him. Just find a way, that's why you are being paid. Emery. |

The guy has even handled the situation very maturedly, unlike what we usually notice in other clubs. We know he can't mark, but he is the best chance creator we have. How Emery can't build on his strength is what baffles me. |
