1. Yes, they can produce seeds. There are seedless and seed varieties of GMO crops. They are considered intellectual property and that is the only reason they don’t encourage farmers to replant them. 2. No they don’t become sterile to organic seeds. Research and peer reviewed articles have shown that you can plant organic seeds after GMO, however, you just have to wait a a year to avoid contamination between organic seeds and GMO seeds. The idea is to keep organic seeds in their “original” state as much as possible. Weed and other plant activities occur in a land that GMO seeds were cultivated and undergoing transition.
