An0nimus: Spurs were all over City. They didn't give City space to do their usual build-up play. Yes. They have shown others the way. City vs Everton would be interesting because Everton have strong players. |

Roland17: Dayo,
I have not questioned pep's coaching, if anything i think he is one of the best around, He has a grounded philosophy akin to the style of football i enjoy watching. However, that does not dispute the fact that Pep is a green horn in the EPL, and time will tell how well he adapts/ succeeds. As disappointing as the last decade has been for Wenger on the field with regards to trophies, his peers know his value. Every top manager will have their ups and downs. Mou is just discovering why he should respect old pals like Fergie, Wenger, and even Ranieri. For Pep, time will come as we see even today when tiki taka will be so easy to deal with. 10years ago, Wenger was the Professeur. |

ColtPython: Yeah. The movement among those four is so fluid you didn't have to look up before seeing someone to release a killer pass to. Looks like we are going back to that kind of pace the likes of Ljunberg, Pires and Henry used to offer together up front. The icing on the cake is that we are also well covered in midfield and defence.
This season holds lots of promise. Hope injuries don't derail it. On Spurs vs City - home win. |

ColtPython: I believe his recurrent injuries has been the major factor dulling his game. Walcott has always got the potential to shine bright. Sadly I don't believe he has ever gone a full season at Arsenal without at least 2 different bouts of injuries. This has always curbed his progress. My opinion tho. I can buy that opinion too. With this form he needs to stay fit and healthy. Also the synergy within our front 4 (Iwobi, Ozil, Sanchez and Theo himself) must have been a huge factor. The pace, control, fluidity, movement, blend, creativity etc are mind blowing. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 2:33pm On Sep 29, 2016 |
kokaneprodigy: He scores that kind of goal often,
I've always been a believer in Walcott, Wenger almost used Giroud to kill Theo's career. He combines well with fast forwards around him check the result of our first leg games against united and Leicester last season where he started ahead of Giroud we scored @ least 3 goals and pressed well.
I'm really happy for him tears of joy. Theo has always got that quality finish. The Euros disappointment must have been his motivation to win back his supporters. |

eph12: Wrong! Definitely not all transfers. But if you say he sometimes act on others recommendations you're correct. These are people he trusts so he should be able to look at their recommendations and act on them. As TD he must be involved in all transfers. But as I stated in the post before yours, he is not responsible for the final decisions especially as it concerns the first team. |

lordfalcao: Abramovich has the final say on any transfer in Chelsea.. is it fair to say responsible for all transfers including hazard and Co Sorry. I just took time to study the argument and realised what its all about. The fact is in most clubs today not one person is solely responsible, its a collective effort. One person spots the players and makes a list of recommendations, another negotiates and ULTIMATELY decides who amongst the listed would be signed. Emenalo is more of youth recruitments at Chelsea, the manager recommends for the first team but its the owner via the negotiator that finally decides. At Arsenal, Arsene is lord and master. Even Dick Law our negotiator cannot sanction a deal without Wenger's approval. Wenger is given an allocation, how he uses it is up to him. In summary, its Abrahamovic via Marina that is ultimately responsible. Since the manager and TD has no control of resources. |
