You feel Walcott defends better than Iwobi? I don't think so.

Chelsea will sit back, so we will need more ballers than runners.

With a defensive pairing of Coquelin and Xhaka, I don't see Hazard or Willian causing much trouble except unless things go wrong. Against Chelsea, Iwobi is a must.

His finishing is good but his build up is poor. Iwobi's creativity enables the team to have countless opportunities to score. I felt that his absence vs Leicester made us draw that game. Again is he developing a solid partnership with Sanchez, both of them roaming in the final third, opening up spaces for each other. Walcott should play in the second half when the defence is tired and for counterattack.

Cazorla, box to box for the former while Xhaka is box to box for the latter.

Wenger said the Coqzorla partnership is good. But I will prefer a Coq-Xhaka. Gives us steel in the middle, since both Carzola and Ozil are poor markers.

What's up with the Sanchez striker experiment? Why is it taking time to integrate Perez into the team?

One remarkable aspect of Wenger's managerial methods is that he NEVER critisizes any of his players. He can blame everybody but not his players.

As for Perez, you should have known that his integration is still work in progress after he played and scored twice in the EFL.

If you want to talk bad about Arsenal, look for some actual points.

Personally, I would replace Lehmann with David Seamann, Toure with Tony Adams and finally as much as i detest this, i would insert Fabregas somewhere in that midfield.

It depends on which club you're looking at. Is it a coincidence that any player u-23 found in the first team at any of the traditional big clubs these days is either World Class, or shows the potential to be world class? I'm sure there were other forwards/wingers at Barca in Messi's set...how many of them made it in to their first team?

In fact Barca's team is chocka with their academy products who actually had to leave and go and learn the trade elsewhere before coming back. For a team that habours title ambitions like us, any youngster has to either be worldclass or show potential that they can be world class.

Hazard at Chalobah's age was already a league winner, and three time player of the year. You really need to ruminate on that.



This is the mentality at feeder clubs like Ajax and Southampto where the players are being groomed for sale. The manager at Chelsea doesn't even know if he'll still be in the job 6 months from the day he signed a contract, so he is less concerned with the future, and more concerned with the 'right now'. And that is the true reality of life at big clubs. Ain't nobody got time to be nurturing babies who aren't ready...that is why the loan system exists!

The best youth should be integrated, the ones that need more time should go on loan.



These slots do not exist at big clubs. They exist at lower level clubs and feeder clubs. If you can think of a club that consistently challenges for honours and regularly promotes from within in the manner that you've mentioned, please name them. Even Arsenal has severely restricted their youth conveyor belt.

So true. To break the ranks at a top club, you have got to be a child star. If not you would be sold off or loaned away.

Knowing the basics at this stage is not enough, you must show your manager something different- something he will feel he is lacking.

Good game yesterday from the lads yesterday, tho it was a shaky first half thanks to that xhakaboom from granite we were set on the way to a good win. However, I have the following observations from the match:

* Barring the goal he scored, sincerely Chamberlain does not play to even enter u21 team. That guy does not improve, but rather diminishes as a footballer everyday. Imagine chuba Akpom, Niles et al playing so well only for Chamberlain to mess everything up each time he comes in contact with the ball. He played a corner so awful I felt like having magical powers to sell his a.s.s off to Burton Albion.

** Perez is indeed good player who will show defenders he'll, especially those who shadow-mark. Judging from that his second goal, he seems rugged and ready to have his way when faced with a defender blocking his access to goal. However, I think he needs to be more selfish as a striker and stop passing too much like the rest of the team. That is the reason he is not Giraud, that pass pass pass is one of the reasons some of us don't trust Giraud. I could remember Giraud passing away our goal against bayern Munich..... Perez would've gotten hat trick yesterday if not for wanting to pass like every other player in the box.

*** Xhaka, hmm mm mm it won't be a bad idea playing that stuff twice in a match u know. I think that will go a long way to scare the shiiit out of our opponents. They will definitely hit the panic button immediately they see us outside the box in control of the ball.

**** For the youngsters, They all seemed to enjoy playing together. With more games under their belt I see some of them blowing pass Iwobi. Choi! Na so life be o, Iwobi Don blow ni leave Akpom for feeders team, now dem dey rest Iwobi for cup matches so he can ball with the big boys.

Chamberlain is like an illiterate with Iphone 7 - talent with no brain. Offcourse he knows that he is now backup to Iwobi whom he probably earns more than. And soon Adelaide would send him packing from The Emirates.

Wenger having serious headache on midfield selection. He may likely opt for the established partnership of Coquelin and Cazorla. But Xhaka must be knocking real hard on his doors.
