Rob Hold ng could just be as good as John Stones whom City are paying over £40million for, and we just got him for £2million.

Meanwhile...
Chuba Akpom could be another Nicholas Anelka, ...

The 17year old Wenger entrusted our goal scoring responsibilities in our 1997 league triumph.

arsenal managerial acumen saw established players like sagna, clichy, van persie, nasri, fabregas, etc move to clubs where they ended up winning what arsenal management couldn't win in 10 years and counting
We sold them for profit. Chelsea even gave us extra chop money for Fabregas head. My point on Pogba is that when a player is not giv!en adequate opportunity he may not realise his potentials. When this happens, the club loses more...

Youth players you keep brandishing, how many of your youths are even in your 1st team?

Other things you wrote up there are just bollocks; you're trying too hard
Few managers give youths a chance as much as Arsene Wenger, Mou does too but that is if he buys them.

On Pogba, I think he represents a monumental failure on managerial acumen from United. As a youth if he was given the chance Manure would not be paying a world record fee for a player they once had but let go for free.

Remember, there was no Drogba to compete with lukaku in 2013/2014 season when mourinho gave him his chance. it was only a mediocre torres and an average ba. Yet lukaku could not start ahead of them. Mourinho put so much trust on lukaku and we saw how he repaid him by passing the ball to neuer.
But comparing Lukaku then and now is not fair to the lad. Also why can't we give him the benefit of doubt?

Spy360, I agree with what Ibime is saying here.

If you have a young player on the brink of making first team and Barcelona send one of their young players to you on loan. EVen if your own player is slightly less talented.

If you play your own youth and he picks up form, he is yours and benefits your tram forever, If you play the Barcelona youth on loan and he performs, Barcelona would just come at anytime to tap their finger and collect him back then you are back to square 1 or even worse.

Unless you are a lesser club with no hope of getting anyone of that quality, you wont even invest energy in developing a loaned player who would eventually be taken away

The Coman example, Coman is literally a Bayern player now only that we would pay for him 2yrs after getting him, and Bayern gave the first option of refusal.

If he flops Bayern lose just 7M, If he blows, we would only pay 7M plus the 21M. 28M for a winger
I accept totally the point made. All I was trying to say is that...

The onus is on every player to make the cuts. You don't just sit and expect to be put through a talent mill. Apart from the Coman example, there are players that have been sent on loan and shone like stars. If you have to compete with an equally talented player, then bad news. But basically, you are expected to earn playing time if you're on loan, if not your career is over.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Spy360(m): 3:04pm On Jul 25, 2016

Kingsley Coman's loan is a €14m Euro loan fee with an option to purchase at €20m ie they have already started paying the players full purchase price within the loan structure.

At the end of his loan, Bayern would have paid €34m for the player. . . . . or a €14m penalty for misuse of the talent, if they choose not to make him permanent.

He is therefore virtually a Bayern player and would have to be really crap not to get opportunities. Such structure guarantees opportunities, and only a really washed player will fail to capitalise (eg Falcao at Man Utd).

A traditional loan however would pay £0-£1m for use of the player over the year, with no incentive for the loaning club to develop the player especially if they have another player who is close to the level of the loanee.

A traditional loan is Serge Gnabry, a youngster who played so well for Arsenal 2 years ago, only to be told by Tony Pulis that he is not good enough for West Brom after one appearance. Are you kidding me?

Tony Pulis does not care about the development of the player and would not take the time to develop or coach him into what he wants. A privilege that was afforded to Jonathan Leko, a 17 year old similar style of player from West Brom academy who is afforded the coaching, effort and given ample game time as soon as it looked like West Brom would be secure in the topflight. Pulis simply has no incentive to coach Gnabry, but he has to coach Leko.

Boga is not better than Dembele, rightly so. But Dembele himself is good enough to take 1st team shirt at Chelsea.

My point being that the fact a player did not get games on loan is not evidence of a player's worth. In Boga's case, this was a bad loan because he was put in a no-win situation against Rennes best player and biggest asset.

Even if Boga and Dembele were equals on the pitch, there is ZERO CHANCE of Rennes giving Dembele's game-time to Boga, as their plan is to sell Dembele at season end for good money. Why would they lose millions in the name of "fair competition" while helping Chelsea develop their player?
Your point is noted and accepted.

My point is a loaned like Serge Gnabry is expected to meet a minimum standard to play for WestBrom, if he doesn't thereby giving the manager the excuse of using his academy player, then Gnabry is useless for a club as Arsenal.

If a manager spots talent, he develops it and uses it. If the player does not improve then one of two things becomes obvious
1. No talent
2. The manager failed in his job.
He could not spot the talent or he could not develop the talent.

There are cases where no 2 was the case, example Pogba and Lukaku. There are also cases where no 1 became the case~ no known examples, they never became popular.

Having said that, in the case of RLC, I think that the manager failed to develop him.

If The bolded is true then it's all Wenger's fault, I'm not saying he should spend recklessly like manure on some average player but he should be fast in making his decisions when necessary. I'll find it difficult to forgive him for using Giroud as the only striker all thru last season not just cos I'm a fan but he also disappointed our players e.g Ozil, niggar could have easily made PFA last season but lost it due to Wenger's adamance.
Imagine the nonsense Kroenke said abt not buying stake cos of trophies, which player will want to force a move to arsenal after hearing that nonsense.
We don't pay ridiculous wages and he doesn't want to gun for trophies, what then will attract top notch players?
Our stinginess has become annoying to even non fans, so much that even when we make a high bid they fear we are under paying them.

Wenger and Gazidis have killed us. My hope of a new striker for next season is with Akpom.

Stop yarning nonsense. Clubs also take players on loan to fill their squads.

Kingsley Coman is on a 2 year loan costing Bayern 7m a year plus 20m purchase agreement.

That is a finance lease, which confers the risks and rewards of ownership on Bayern. . . just like your phucking car note!

Serge Gnabry and Jenkinson from your useless club are two niggas really on loan, not Kingsley Coman.
If you are on loan just to fill the squad then you are more useless than initially thought.

Kinsley Coman was on loan, whether it was a lease or not. A loan deal can be made permanent depending on the contractual agreement. Even Torres was on loan last season at Athletico,.

How can price tag not be relevant? How many kids at 19 are sold for £12m? In fact, in football after talent is considered, age is a direct reflection of transfer value. Where that ceases to be the case, the subject in question falls under exceptional. You cannot expect a 19-year-old Messi to cost the same as Charlie Musonda. Why? Exceptional.

So when a Messi at 19 costs his new team £12m, he goes there, in the worst case scenario to be at the door of the first team and in the best case scenario, to play. Not to announce himself to the manager. He's already known quantity. Very different from the case of Chalobah.

Why are we bring Luis into this? Does Zouma(19) at £12m and Luis(28) at £12m mean the same thing in football?

It's not what I say, it is what can happen. Moreover, I tried to push the point of the manager having no need for the player (and hence no requirement to field him). I tried to make that clearer than the "psychology" point of view but you have clearly omitted that.

Now deliberately fusing the psychological element into it, when a manager declares that they have no imperative to develop players from other clubs, and furthermore states that you (loan player at 20) stand no chance, one will be grossly simplistic to claim that this is incapable of denting a 20-year-old's confidence, thereby affecting them psychologically.

How is this not clear?
Just to add.

Rumours linking Chelsea to Lukaku and United's push for Pogba speaks volumes. THEIR MANAGERS DID NOT PUT FAITH IN THEM. Shiit happens, but there are shits you just can't take.

Let Pogba go to Juve for free, got him back for a world record fee? £86millions? THAT'S SHIIT
