That Chelsea's problems this season stemed from their inability to gel in youth into the first team set up as most top clubs do.

That Mourinho's inability to keep faith in youth may have cost him his job, and may also explain why he doesn't stay beyond three seasons in a single club. (Man United take note.)

That having about the best set of youngsters in England and even Europe, it amuses one why incorporating them could be so difficult. Pochentino proving otherwise at Tottenham.

That the idea of sending quality youth players on loan too often creates an artificial inbalance in the scheme of things. (Moses, Ginkel, Ake, Bamford etc)

That it does not augur well for the club because these players struggle to blend when they return for preseason, only to be loaned out again.

That the evidence is seen, as all players on loan are at clubs in better league positions than Chelsea at the moment.

That Pellegrini's decision to field a youth side for today's FA cup clash MAY expose organisational problems if City wins.

Another thing is that most of our players are one legged and that kills the attack especially with someone like Sanchez. He should learn to shoot with his left foot. Walcott is another example, a cut back from Gibbs gave a chance he should have buried but instead he tried to shift his weight in order for him to use his right foot, blowing that opportunity.
It's not a coincidence we don't score against teams that sit deep ,making their goalies look like Neuer. It's because we hate to. shoot instead we want to walk the ball into the net. Once again, it happened today. What saddens me is the fact that we failed to score against a second hull city team, which will surely affect the psych of the players when they play against the best team on the planet right now.

Normally psychology is affected just before or even after a big game. Usually players don't want to exert to much energy.

It happened to Barca too, they could only manage a narrow 2-1 win over Las Palmas having been bettered for most parts of the game.

This same thing happened with the Southampton goalie and even Fabianski looked world class because most of our shots were directed at them. I hate to say this but we doesn't have a striker. Walcott keeps blowing hot and cold and Sanchez has lost form. I believe AW would be thinking of Tuesday and wouldn't want to risk Bellerin - the only real RB in the team. But then with Koschielny just recovering and Gabriel out, I also doubt if AW would want to risk him. So an academy RB may likely debutise tomorrow.
