So what is your take on this shambolic game we just witnessed This was a shameful defeat. Little positives we can take from it was that we hit the woodwork thrice. Luckily for us Spurs lost too, same as City. But as Wenger said, this is not a time to talk about the title. We have to recover first. |

Where are the Walcott backers... Does he have a footie brain? Millennia ago? May be you slept off while we won three titles over the last decade. My mind conditioning is to cushion the effect of missing out on this year. That doesn't mean I am no longer optimistic. So long as it is Leicester and Tottenham above us, there is a philosophical hope, |

proudlysports: Sure we can still win. Sure Leicester and Spurs will drop points. The issue is WILL Arsenal take advantage? This is the question many fans cannot answer in the affirmative based on past experience. Fans like me prefer to take it one game at a time. You only need to have been an Arsenal fan for about 5 years to know that projecting more than one match ahead is opening yourself up to yourself unnecessary high bp. Yes, presently I am conditioning my mind to be satisfied with a top four finish. Not withstanding, some seasons ago, Arsenal found themselves 15points behind Spurs who were in 4th place with just 10games to go. Then Spurs had Bale in their ranks. Arsene led the team to a 10game winning streak, after beating Spurs 5-2 and usurping them on the last day. If, a big if Arsene can relive that magic, hopefully the title can be ours. Hopefully. |

proudlysports: To be honest, after years of watching Arsenal, one can only blame the manager. We've had change in personality (as per players) but the result is the same. Seems to me that once we are sure of top 4, we relax. See our players taking selfies after beating City as if the title was won on that day. Anyway, mathematically it's still possible to win the league and we do have the players win it. But do we have the mentality? That's the big question. We should know after the next two games. I think that the reason Arsenal fans still feel they have a chance of winning the title is because of the calibre of teams above us. Leicester and Tottenham are viewed as lesser teams that we can surpass, capable of dropping points. Had it been that Chelsea, United or City were the ones above us, it would have been goodnight blues by now. Meanwhile, Kante is injured. |

Just take it one game at a time. Pataki: Stop this man! Wake up and smell the coffee! Enough with all these fanciful delusions. I hear you. The french blonde had better got his selections and motivations right against Swansea. I love the way fans and ex players attacked him and the team. They seem too relax and over confident. That its Leicester and Tottenham above you doesn't mean the title is now yours. |

Leicester could drop points against West Brom and Watford, while Tottenham could also lose points at West Ham.
So that victories for Arsenal against Swansea and in the North London derby could see us move to top of the league.

Its about 11games to go. Its not over yet, but the manager and players have so far failed us who try to give them a chance.
I will still be hopeful that we can make it, but my hopes were really tested yesterday.
Like as I have always pointed out, it lies on Wenger to prove his onus this season as there can be no more excuses.
My conclusion now is that Wenger should consider stepping down if he fails to deliver the title. |

I don't see why anyone would rate BuLi ahead of EPL. Is it by players, or money, or fans, even players leave Germany for England.
If it is a personal opinion, I will respect that. But if it is a statement of facts, mehn it's not true.
No need to be sentimental about it. Even the Germans accept EPL as better, how much more a foreigner. |

Arsenal have scored just 4goals this month. This is a most pitiable disaster for a team that aspires to win the title.
Lots of chances created but very poor finishing has hampered the team's efforts. Mr Wenger has to do something to correct this situation.
That stat must be corrected against Man United. |

lordfalcao: throw away Giroud, give welbeck more time... wenger should go and look for a traditional 9 Welbeck lacks confidence in front of goal, but besides that, I think he is better than Giroud. He is faster, more skillful, and most importantly double footed. Yes, Wenger should give him more time. He can improve in his goal scoring. |

bigkesh: Arsenal were cool and comfortable until Wenger showed us why he went 10 years without a trophy..... They were containing them well, why did he choose to attack and leave spaces at the back....
Messi,Neymar and esp Suarez found in difficult in the first 45mins because there was no space at all...And Wenger had to just give them that.....
Pressing barca is a very difficult task, when they get the ball from the back the two CBs split very wide almost as wing backs with busquet and iniesta dropping deep to orchestrate the play.......... The wing backs are high up their half while MSN goes narrow If you press them they play it to the wings and back to the center and to the other wing, by then the space is open to penetrate.........
They did it time and time and time again and Wenger was just looking.....
You can't press them with 4-5-1,you will have to do it man to man and even at that a dribble of a poor marking from just a player will open a really big space....
The best way to do it is 3-4-3 like guardiola did for 45mins at nou camp, that way you mark everyone
The best way with very little risk is 8-1-1,block anything I buy your 3-4-3 idea, but that is not the only way to beat Barcelona. Other methods like the one Wenger applied are equally effective. He had two speedy wingers in Sanchez and Ox, to play quick counters and keep Barca's overlapping fullbacks in check. That way they lack the necessary width to breakdown the defence. Also it gives you a room to attack because you want to win too. You have to score. Again as a team which can also keep the ball the 4-5-1 was perfect. Any team that can hold the ball in midfield for 30secs can do Barca serious harm. That said, it was obvious that the team created clear scoring chances but their finishing was very poor, infact a disgrace. This summarises Arsenal this season- create tonnes of chances but very poor finishing. Having said so, it does not mean that any team can then beat Barca. They have so much quality that whatever tactics you come up with, you can ONLY PRAY. |

It's a pity we lost after matching them man to man for over 70mins of the game. Their exceptional quality and our poor finishing eventually getting the best of us.

Wenger is the professor of football. It is not a mistake that Barcelona has never won at The Emirates.
No matter the MSN or Yahoo messengers Barca come with, Wenger will always device a plan to counter them. He even said it is easier preparing for Barca than Hull.
It is on situations as this that you see the best of Arsenal, when pressure mounts our boys come gunning left, right and centre.
It will be impregnable Monreal up against Messi, and I am sure he will stick it up Messi's ass. |
