First things first
Chelsea won fair and square. No controversy. We seem to still have that mental block against them. We need to overcome that.
We'll meet them again next season in the FA or League Cup if they don't win their current relegation battle.
On Giroud's sub
Honestly we had to choice but to take off Giroud. Take of Walcott/Campbell and we'll be weak on the left/right. Our midfield was totally overrun and no way we would have sacrificed any midfielder to play in his or Campbell's place. Unfortunately, Giroud himself is too limited. I'm not sure we could have used him on the left/right. It was a hard decision but it had to be made.

On our game
No more Mr Nice guy....
I don't know what Arsene gives his wards to eat but our players are just too nice! Two things I'd like to point out

1. We were one man down and a goal down as well, I would have expected us to take advantage of every small issue. Most other team would have targeted Costa all through the game. Also Matic and Fabregas were on yellow at some point in the game. Target them, rile them, get on their nerves. Do anything to ensure parity in terms of number of players

2. Koscielny got the ball from Alexis and in the box, Zouma had a slight touch. He staggered, why didn't he go down? Get a penalty or at least try to get one!

No excuses about the game though. I just think sometimes we need to toughen up. Our games against Chelsea require this. Reminds me of our games against United during Fergie's era.

By the way, all those slating Santi, I hope you all now see his contributions to the team? Santi is probably the only midfielder we have who can bring the ball out of defence without losing it. The others are only good at short passes. Get well soon Santi. Good news is that Coquelin is back in training.

On title run
Do we have the players to win the title...YES
Are our fixtures favourable? YES
Can we win the title? YES
Will we win the title? It's down to Wenger and his boys. We dropped our heads a bit when Per was sent off yesterday. Our reaction to this game will goal along way. We need to get a few games under our belt now and just write January off as a bad month for the team.

Next game Burnley
Those looking forward to see Elneny, well, here's your chance.
I like reading your analysis because they are quite intelligent.

I would like to disagree with you on the Giroud sub. The only excuse worth it was that Giroud was only passed fit on match day besides which Walcott should have been scape goat (since he was being honoured on the day as skipper, then Campbell).

Giroud would have been most vital being one man down,
-he has the presence and stamina to face both centre backs
-he is better in the air, an advantage for set pieces
-he can hold up the ball, allowing us to use long balls when passing is difficult
-his link up play would have given the team better width
-he is a better target man
-he would have gotten to the end of those chances Flamini missed
-etc, etc.

Bruv I saw Walcott, and IMO Walcott was supposed to be subbed off rather than Giroud. I pointed out Ozil cause I probably expected more from him. He sincerely disappointed me in that game. As for Mertasacker, I think he did what any experience defender would do, especially if that defender lacks the necessary pace to get to the ball at that point in time.

I never knew Walcott was as useless as he was yesterday. Even Campbell did far better in terms of attacking and defending.
Wrong again!

An experience defender wouldn't do what Per did. It was just 18mins into the game, he was the last man, he knew a foul would earn him a red leaving the team short in number for over 70mins. Wrong decision.

He would have left Costa through on goal, it's a 50/50 chance. With 11 players we would still have a chance to even win the game.

What was he avoiding? Costa to score?
He did score after just 8mins the red was shown. Poor decision for an experienced defender.

You don't know what you are saying. Sanchez single-handedly sliced through Chelsea when he came on and not Ozil. 80% of Ozil's passes were misplaced. Abi na back of TV you watch?
Sanchez's intro was phenomenal it did spark up Ozil, but Ozil wasn't a flop. Ozil's contributions are not usually obvious, sometimes I needed to see a game again to find out.

Didn't you see Walcott or even the 'electric pole' that cost us the game?

Arsene Wenger has some fun and games with the TV cameras when discussing Diego Costa.

"He has got two players sent off this season," Wenger says.

"I am accusing him of nothing but those are the facts."

He then seemed to backtrack a touch saying that "that is part of a striker's game of course, and Costa is very good at that..."
I think Wenger is beginning to fall in love with Coata's ruthlessness.

Mertersacko na baskard!

Very poor decision making from an old man like him; having lost Costa, he should have allowed him through on goal, him scoring is a 50/50. Poor defending from Per. Gabriel should take his place permanently.

Wenger's decision to make Giroud the scape goat was down to a slight injury, he didn't even train the day before.

No hope is lost since we are still at par with our main challengers, Sanchez entry changed the pace of the game, his return will bring fresh bite to our attack. I see us on a 10game unbeaten run.

Meanwhile,...

#TheBeefContinues

Arsenal's legend Patrick Vieira chose Mourinho ahead of Wenger when asked to pick his best manager - 'he had more influence on me'.

Vieira who spent nine years at Arsenal said Mourinho knew every thing about the opponent- their strengths and weaknesses, and also gave attention to details while Arsene Wenger concentrated on his team, and gives his players freedom to express themselves. Two very different styles.

He went on to add that Arsenal never approached him for a coaching role at the club having left under acrimonious circumstances. This expression of disappointment is coming at a time when former team mates Thiery Henry and Freddie Ljungberg have been offered coaching roles at London Colney.

Vieira himself has just been given the managerial job at New York City FC.

So long Patrick, keep beefing.

How much do you know an Arsenal ticket cost?
The cost is value for money. Chelsea should rather make sure they repair that their dilapidated slum 'under the bridge'.

One wonders why most Londoners including Chelsea fans prefer to see a game at the Emirates rather than at 'under the bridge'.

Reasons,
serene atmosphere
good quality attacking football
clean soccer pitches, well cut and watered grass
safety
comfort, you always get a cup of starbucks free
etc etc.

These explain why despite a higher ticket price, Emirates still record more attendances that 'under th bridge'.
