afrodoc2: The 4-3-3 idea is actually not bad. Blind is w very good passer indeed, it's just sad seeing labouring to get to the easiest and nearest of balls. He busts his gut to get to balls 10 yards away. LVG has just been very clueless and rigid in his thinking, that dogmatic nature is both his strength and his weakness. De Feel-o-suffer |

chrisley024: Young should leave that defence and replace him upfront. A fast RWF like Spy360 should replace Mata also while the team should be quicker. The drab football we play is the major reason we hardly score cos it unables the opponent time to reorganize and defend better.
Blind's passes today were awesome. At a time I was like he should replace Bastian in the midfield. His problem is lack of pace and strength, and inconsistent sometimes I concur... |

dmcdad: I have to say this; Martial sure knows how to play football. Took Ivanovic for a ride all through the game, but saw little of the ball when he played centrally during the latter part of the game.
Now I understand better why he is not played as a striker. He was never a striker. Wenger said so and everybody doubted. Now you know. |

TheGoodJoe: I do not know who Chelsea can get in the transfer market. If I would suggest one person, I say Aubameyang. I think his pace will give Chelsea more drive upfront.
The Winter transfer market is hard because it is difficult for clubs to find replacements.
Who are you guys looking at. Considering Fabregas might go. No star player would want to join Chelsea for now at least. You should be looking at the Championship. #JokesApart |

proudlysports: Like I said a few days ago, last time we beat Southampton away was in 2003. They simply know how to play us. From the first 20mins I knew the game was gone, I was just hoping for a miracle which didn't come. Kos was just too weak and slow, Long noticed it and picked on him. Ramsey and Flamini couldn't match Wayama for strength, midfield gone; defence exposed. When news about Flamini's ankle came up, I could only wonder. Let's hope Bournemouth will play their passing game today. By the way, na Chambers go dey DM today, if you dey get heart problem carry your medicine for hand. |

pickabeau1: More than midfielders I think that was tactical crap Arsenal went for possession again rather than counter
The boys were fatigued and you can't play possession that way I beg to differ. One could not have imagined to sit and counter on a game we needed to win to go top. In fact within the first 15mins, the So'ton guys were a bit cautious and respectful not knowing what to expect. They were the ones who needed to defend and counter. When the So'ton boys realised we were slow and weak, they went for long balls and hard challenges. You call that tactical crap, but it was always coming. A defeat waiting to happen. |

Fkhalifa: i saw this post on an Arsenal blog, do you agree with him? To me he spoke my mind
"We can’t rely on Sanchez alone. Southampton put on a performance that was full of energy and determination all over the pitch. There’s a distinct lack of physicality in this Arsenal side. We need rugged players to complement the silky skills of Ozil and Cazorla. We will also need a more physical #10 to compete with Ozil (someone in the mould of a young Rosicky). Finally, we need a very physical, speedy and energetic #9". The bloke should have given suggessions with possible price tags so that anyone can work on it. We may be surprised that such players may not be available even if they exist. |

pickabeau1: I feel a striker is more important
Walcott is a fragile player In as much as we need a striker, it is not pressing. Goals aren't our problem at all. Against So'ton we lost it in the middle, with Wayama and Clasie being very physical. We are very very short in midfield. Injuries + aging players. |

My brother I only hope he will turn out shrewd. He is quite cheap @ £5mil, with experience in Europe at a title winning club. Its a gamble. Guys like Leicester's Vardy and Kante came for £1m, Mahrez £500k. All three have been effective. Lets see if this will be a Wenger magic. |

pickabeau1: But when I said there was an injury crises you guys were vexing... I don't think anybody should vex for stating the obvious, but the crisis came at a time our hands were tied. Jan is a good time to strengthen since we did little to nothing during the summer. Injuries to key players came thick and fast, and most are long term. I must say kudos to the backups especially Flamini for keeping us within sight. That said, we need to strengthen since 3 midfield players would be ending their contracts; Arteta, Rosiscky and Flamini. |

Why r u blaming the old man
This is the same team that has been winning since
Why r u complaining
You must take the good n d bad
Alex Nkwobi is a repository of wenger good faith and don't forget in February after the winter window..the LANS will come back
Sanchez santi Jack rosicky welbek It is not wise to continue with the same 11 for long, either they run out of ideas or they get found out. Nevertheless, like as I mentioned, I don't blame him because the squad is lean due to injuries. Someone mentioned he just signed a DM from Basel, may be he has realised he needs backups. |
