BlueRayDick: I don't know why DaveP has refused to see things that way. He keeps yawning for a big bully striker who will come and impose himself upfront.
Arteta will most likely sign a striker but the player will be in the mould of Nketiah, Gabriel Jesus, etc. Strikers who are not going to really be that tall imposing figure in the box, but rather an attacker who partake in the free-flowing attacking football we play and can also hit his shot well.
Jodera: Please, Biko, don't start. That was never what we argued last season and certainly not against me that's proponent of a good False 9 In a structured team.
Iamoyin.damola and bluera.ydick wey dey troll me for those kind of strikers naim you claim you had such argument with me, when in actual fact it's the opposite.
Abeg don't start!!
When we argued about GJ not scoring goals like a typical striker that scores 20+ goals a season. You said he wasn't clinical as a striker, I said he cannot be clinical because he gets involved with open play which means he is not always available for the final pass. Though you finally came to terms but have forgotten that you were actually against not having a striker.
daveP: Is that a rhetorical question? Lol. Don't make me laugh. Your manager knows this. You should too. Not someone that blows hot or cold. That won't stop me from saying he had an impressive 2nd half.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
We have a scored 104goals already this season. More than Man City with Haaland, and Liverpool with Nunes or whoever. So how would we convince the owners that we need a striker. What would be his job? Score goals?
I have stated here times without number (but you guys are not humble enough to give me my flowers ) that as far as Arteta's tactics is concerned, he does not need a traditional striker. That the reason is because whoever is playing front is only acting as a decoy. He is actually an AM. He prefers a multiple outlet for goals than a single one. That is why despite scoring 100+ goals, no one has scored a hat trick this season.
When I had that argument with Jodera about Gabriel Jesus not playing as a striker he thought I was silly. You know a striker from his movements and positioning. Kai Havertz is another perfect example of an AM playing as a striker, someone who can drop deep to overload the middle. These are Arteta's tactics this season and it has worked tremendously well for him.
See, any time Arteta goes for a striker which is possible just know that he wants to change tactics (or perhaps have an alternative tactics) to what we are currently playing. But as far as this tactics is concerned, we don't need a traditional goal scorer. We only need players who can drop deep from attacking position.
iamoyindamola: All of a sudden arteta is our saviour No other coach can lead or survive in arsenal Arteta way they use arsenal learn work is the saviour 🤣🤣🤣
Lol
I blame you because you couldn't convince us otherwise. Imagine the option you dey give us. Like make JayZ leave Beyonce for Tonto Dike say wetin? 😂😂😂
BlueRayDick: Shebi this is the same thing we said here all through yesterday and they said we are accepting mediocrity & turning Arteta to Wenger gradually .
I have asked them to name just one coach they think we will sign and will snatch the league off the hands of Pep or Klopp and I'm yet to really hear any name mentioned . But make we sack Arteta first cos he can't win the league against Klopp and Pep.
If there was another Arteta say in Spain or Holland or France or even Germany, he would have been their perfect choice to replace this Arteta.
BlueRayDick: So is Foman now the one in charge of Chelsea today ? Una go just jump inside talk without understanding the context
Chelsea has spent the whole season practically shifting from 10th to 11th to 10th to 9th back to 10th and Pochettinho is still ur manager .
Man utd has been moving from 0 goal difference to 2 goal difference to negative goal difference and back to 0 all season and Ten Hag is still the manager .
Why are they still their clubs respective managers ?
We was talking of how miserable the clubs are presently and how the management are sticking with them . Now Arteta is a title contender presnstku and somebody is saying we should sack him because he can't win the league vs Pep.
How many elite manager will win the league vs this current Man city ? That is the context of the discussion and not some historical chest beating jargon's in ur mind or ur normal trolling of "they bottled the league "
If I get his post well, he means that Chelsea and Man United have been stupid sacking elite managers and Arsenal wants to copy the stupidity.
Bayern wey think say Naggelsman go pick up, Now Naggelsman don extend with National team
I just dey imagine the excitement of playing CL knockout which we missed for many years now, plus the drama of chasing the title for two straight years. That's massive progress and we have not even reached our peak.
Arteta has had to learn by fighting which the masters and now can match them face to face.
If we lose him, that will take us another three years back and that is assuming he better manager replaces him.
Roland17: Arteta may as well quit coaching until Pep retires.
He flops in the EFL----Blame Pep He flops in the FA------Blame Pep He flops in the EPL----Blame Pep He flops in the UEL-----Blame Pep He flops in the UCL----Blame Pep
Fkhalifa: You're on point....I just do not support the idea of not letting Arterta feel the heat, This was how Wenger started till Arsenal became a near success team all year and later everything capitulated.
That's just it. Let's add more pressure on him to succeed. Thank God Klopp is leaving and Pep too may leave. Whether we win this season or not, we stand a better chance having Arteta as our manager next season.
We are dragging title neck to neck with Man City/Guardiola and Liverpool/Klopp both of which have dominated both the PL and UCL recently and yet some people want to sack the manager. Assuming Man City didn't exit the CL and Liverpool didn't get disagraced they would have said we bottled the CL too.
iamoyindamola: I hope the children will be doctors and engineers of this world That's more than the total I spent in my entire years in schools from nursery to university
People pay a lot less to become engineers and doctors. You are too kind.
iamoyindamola: After 5 years una still no know this arteta man, he was lying he felt something I really need to ask back the dumb question you asked the other day if we go school If odegaard was really injured he won't be travelling with the team or do i need to remind you he was the last player that left emirates against villa Hailing and apologizing to the fans that stayed behind, can an injured man do that
The annoying thing is this man will never take responsibility, Everyone is blaming him for the loss he was yarning dust about scoring 5 in the first half
Would I blame Arteta for the loss?
Yes and No
Yes because he is the manager. Secondly Aston Villa played a midblock all game and he couldn't find a way through not even with his substitution. In fact they got better after his subs.
No because players were tired and mentally weak and we have Bayern in Munich. Secondly we did get clear chances which Havertz and Trossard threw away stupidly.
mostob: I would have ignored this sha because na emotional talk. But for the bolded, you should point out where I asked if you go school or not. Just point it out and I'll duly apologize.
daveP: now our rivals dey callam Limpopo anytime he drops a stinker. 😆😆
Competition will bring perspective for him. Plus he'll be more decisive. Also, he still needs unlocking. I hope the player that does that arrives. Either a 9 or another 8. Let's see how he balls with Odegaard far from him too. Guy supposed dey 20goals by now.
Arteta is silly to have kept Nelson, Nketiah, Vieira, and not gotten a proven deputy for Saka even if it's that Diaby of Aston Villa. Very silly. Saka could have revolutionised his game by playing other roles like striker or attacking midfield like Foden knowing fully well that we have a reliable backup. Arteta's decisions relies too much on loyalty which will not favour him in life. Man has got to be ruthless.
Iamoyindamola abeg forget this City dropping points talk. Why have more faith in those excellent season finishers for where we still dey learn work? 😂
Even if they do, shey we go capitalize in an encouraging way ni?
Other news- I'm hearing Osimhen is being overlooked cos of the fee. Hmm. I hope we don't regret that atall. That guy works tirelessly for his teammates. That's already a superb Arsenal mentality to start with. Next our aerial threat will skyrocket. Anybody the club wants to go for better not be one jeunjeun doppelganger of GJ o . We need to compete on the grand stage and make the regulars respect and fear us even better.
ThierryJay: Fair point. I believe when you look at the speed of play real time, it makes the elaborate cheating plan peeps are ascribing to Saka unrealistic.
The replays make it appear premeditated, but real time he cant devise all of that within one-fifth of a second. That's why Saka was really pained by the denial after the match. Not reflective behaviour of someone who intended to game the situation.
Regardless, Neuer's leg moving towards Saka at point of contact invalidates all of those sh1t.
