PoliticsRe: Is Oil A Blessing To Nigeria? by Spyker: 6:47pm On Oct 24, 2009
Black liquid curse. If you have ever being to the producing communities and states, you will agree that it is a curse.
Wherever you see oil, you see trouble. Hence, what types of country abandons other sectors of the economy and focus on one, abandons other form of revenue and focus on one (oil). Have you ever heard the FGN talk about sharing money generated from sale of groundnut, palm oil, Kolanut e.t.c. except oil. We keep hearing excess crude, crude this, crude that. It is only a cursed nation that does that.
When did only become more important than Agriculture? See, oil is a curse, an example is a man that abandons his wife and children to go after other women, is that man not cursed. The Nigerian nation abandoned other forms of revenue and focused on oil.

OIL IS A CURSE, AND NOT JUST A CURSE, A BLACK CURSE. It has cursed our leaders by blinding them to reason like humans except they hear crude oil.
Christianity EtcRe: Catholic Archbishop Of Benin City In Serious Sex Scandal by Spyker: 3:31pm On Oct 23, 2009
Bunch of trash, here say. Why did she not publish the correspondence between herself and the Bishop since she kept record of their conversations and letters. That is the best way to ridicule the Bishop.

She was molested by the Bishop when she was 14, she also got married and continued communicating with the Bishop. Is it that easy to have assess to the Catholic Bishop now? I am a Catholic and the Bishop NEVER goes out alone, he is always accompanied by someone.

PoliticsRe: Who Is The Worst? Our Leaders, PHCN Or Police by Spyker: 3:04pm On Oct 23, 2009
The leaders are people, the PHCN and the Police is a government institution. The leaders are the ones in government hence they control the Police and the PHCN. If they say PHCN is corrupt, they want it to be corrupt. Same goes for the Police.
Blame it on the LEADERS, they are the executive arm of the government and as their names implies, they are supposed to EXECUTE great policies that will transform the PHCN and the POLICE.

I just want him to achieve the 1/2 point agenda of 6,000MW before he dies (if he would actually die). On the positive side, i pray he completes his tenor and forget about re-election (i.e if he is not eyeing that already).

FamilyHow Do You Rate Someones Dressing Descent And Another Indecent by Spyker(op): 4:24pm On Oct 21, 2009
Dear Nairalanders,

I would like your honest views of how you rate a persons dressing as indecent or descent.
To me, i based my judgement on the type of occasion or environment one finds his/herself.
For example, in going to a church, i don't expect you (refers to both male and female) to dress in such a way as to distract other persons. For the ladies, those Godgiven beauties which is supposed to be viewed by your husband (or boyfriend) alone should not be exposed. Same goes for the guys, putting on shorts, sleeveless shirts or singlets to such occasions are not descent.
For parties, the hour of the day should guide you.

Nairalanders, your take on this topic is important because i notice that people (more especially the ladies) do not dress to match the occasion. Please give a clear and precise reason because my little niece asked me this question but i was only able to explain by illustration what is descent and what is not descent.

Honest views and opinion please.
God bless you as you contribute in the education of a Nigerian child
PoliticsRe: Do you know anything about "Greater Port Harcourt City?" by Spyker: 3:54pm On Oct 21, 2009
When the idea was first introduce, every one shouted hurray until we asked what became of the ones already proposed for the old Port Harcourt city. Mega hospital in partnership with Clinotech of Canada, we all know what became of it. 60 story hotel at Waterlines yet not even a pin on site.
Amaechi's government loves publicity. They build houses, roads and bridges in the media. Please, when ever you visit Port Harcourt and see any on going project, do ask who started it and you may be shocked on the reply you get.
The Greater Port Harcourt has been alotted N50B to start work yet poor communities are already fighting one another just because they were included in the mirage called Greater Port Harcourt City.
Rivers State is the only state in Nigeria (quote me) that has not commission anything because all we hear is mega this, mega that, mega, mega, mega.
If only this particular one will be executed, we shall thank God.

Good luck
PoliticsRe: Lagos Governor Calls For State Police by Spyker: 6:10pm On Oct 19, 2009
I have always advocated for state police. Whether you like it or not, they will be better off than the federal ones.
Even the USA operates that way, same for many countries in Europe. It is better we try it than hoping it will be worse. After all, no risk no gain

RomanceRe: Get Married To A Virgin Or Die Searching! by Spyker: 7:03pm On Oct 15, 2009
Poster, i quite understand how you feel. I wanted what you wanted. I met a girl and thought she was a virgin though i am not keen on marrying a virgin, she was the one who made me believe she was. I had kept myself for her until i found out she was banging someone else (ladies, sorry for the language). I had my first sexual experience at 24 or 25 (not very sure which one). I dated another lady for five(5) years and this one broke my heart. I gave up searching. But as God will have it, i met a girl recently and i am going to marry her (hurray). She gave me my heart desire. Now, my ex wants to have me back after she broke my heart. You may ask what did she do? I abstained for 5 years for her because she said no sex before marriage which i agreed to and adhere to. But while she was in school, she kept on having sex to the point that she slept with my friend. You see, if you find that girl, virgin or not, love her for who she is not because of what she is.

God will give you your heart desire if you believe.
My candid advice, a girl being a virgin doesn't make her a wife material. Other factors like her character should be considered more in as much as she is not a cheating on you.
