Politics / Re: 2019: Let’s Unite And Remove Buhari From Office – Wike Tells PDP Aspirants by spyworlddigcon: 4:26pm On Aug 31, 2018
The course on track.....there is no going back, Buhari and APC must leave, they must go

fabinfos:
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirants to unite and sack the non-performing All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government.

Wike also called on the presidential aspirants to support whoever emerged as the party’s candidate after the presidential primary.

He spoke yesterday, at the Government House, Port Harcourt, during a condolence visit by a PDP presidential aspirant and former governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, over the death of the State’s Attorney General, Emmanuel Aguma.

He said: “What we are saying is that all of us must put our heads together to remove this government that does not mean well for Nigerians. Power comes from God. If God says it is you, there is nothing any man can do about it. Man can only struggle.”

On Aguma’s death, Wike thanked the former Sokoto State governor for his condolence visit.

The governor described Aguma as a dependable ally who stood by his administration to the end of his life.

In his remarks, Bafarawa said that the visit was to condole with Wike. He said human beings will taste death at some point and prayed God to grant the late attorney-general paradise.

Politics / Re: 2019: ‘not Too Young To Run’ Condemns Saraki’s Declaration, Dissociates Self by spyworlddigcon: 7:36pm On Aug 30, 2018
Its like you people are becoming very political..........what is wrong if Saraki decide to contest for the presidency?........please, Please may I remind you that PDP has promised all Her aspirant a level playing ground, please let Saraki be......after the Primaries everybody will understand.

abc115:
The ‘Not Too Young To Run’ movement has dissociated itself from the formal declaration by Bukola Saraki to run for president on the platform of the opposition party, PDP.

Mr Saraki, the senate president, formally made his intention known at an event organised by the group on Thursday in Abuja.

The group, which champions youth participation in politics, said it was disappointed by Mr Saraki’s decision as its apolitical programme was not meant for such.

“The movement wishes to express its disappointment with Senator Saraki for usurping a platform designed for young aspirants to dialogue with party leadership to advance his personal political ambition. We strongly condemn this act by the President of the Senate and dissociates ourselves from this political move,” the movement said in a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES by its convener, Samson Itodo.

Read the full statement below.

Not Too Young To Run Campaigners Distance Movement From Saraki’s Declaration

As part of efforts to promote youth candidacy and democratic party primaries, the Not Too Young To Run movement commenced a series of public town hall meetings with the leadership of political parties and young aspirants to address the challenges faced by young aspirants in securing party tickets. The movement scheduled three town hall meetings with the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC); People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties. The first dialogue held today August 30, 2018 in Abuja with the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The event had in attendance the Chairman of the party Mr. Uche Secondus; Senator Bukola Saraki, Hon. Udeh Okoye, National Youth Leader of the party. The event also was attended by young aspirants registered under the Ready To Run platform.

The young aspirants advocated for a reduction in the cost of party nomination forms and requested the party to uphold internal democracy in the conduct of party primaries. In his response, the Chairman of the PDP assured the young aspirants of their support for youth candidacy in the forthcoming primaries.

Whilst addressing participants at the town hall, Senator Saraki declared his intention to run for the office of the President in the 2019 elections. The movement wishes to express its disappointment with Senator Saraki for usurping a platform designed for young aspirants to dialogue with party leadership to advance his personal political ambition. We strongly condemn this act by the President of the Senate and dissociates ourselves from this political move.

As noted earlier, the movement reaffirms its identity as a non-partisan citizen led movement dedicated to the defense democracy, political inclusion and transformative leadership. The movement restates its commitment to sustain its engagement with political parties to ensure youth candidacy and democratic party primaries.

APC is not a political party, it is just a family affair where the father and the mother decides everything that happen in the household...it is a shame, they should learn how to do things right......before living office in 2019.

AllTheWayUp:
Fear Of Disintegration and Defections As APC Adopts Decision Of Governors And Senators On Indirect Primaries Against Tinubu and Oshiomole's Opinion

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has adopted indirect primary for all elective positions apart from the presidential election.

The decision was taken at the 6th national executive committee (NEC) meeting of the party in Abuja on Thursday.

Simon Lalong, governor of Plateau state, told reporters that states may consider direct primary when the need rises.

WHAT IS INDIRECT PRIMARY?

Indirect primary election is when delegates choose the party’s candidate as against when interested members of the party vote for a candidate.
The issue of the primary had left stakeholders of the party divided, with some federal lawmakers threatening to pull out of the ruling party if it adopts direct primary.

Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the APC, had hinted that a decision would be taken on direct or indirect primary at the NEC meeting.

He gave the hint after a caucus meeting of the party at the presidential villa on Tuesday.

“By Thursday (today) we will go to NEC where the formal decisions will be ratified and once they are ratified there will be no problem; they are not being kept (secret) because every member of the party and indeed Nigerians are entitled to know how we agreed about the exercise.

“But I think everybody has confidence that we will do a very credible primaries to ensure that those who fly the flag of the party have the mandate of their various constituencies.”

Politics / Re: Nigerians Ranked 8th Most Hardworking Foreigners In US by spyworlddigcon: 2:25pm On Aug 23, 2018
Has Mr president seen this news, "Nigeria Youths are lazy" he should not worry the youths are going to prove their agility at the polling stations, Buhari will under stand that we are not lazy.

Nwaforj44:
Global business magazine, Bloomberg has ranked Nigerians working in the United States as the eighth most hardworking foreigners in that country.

In a 2018 report released yesterday, Nigerians scored 71.0 percent in the list of the hardest and most skilled immigrant groups in the US which was topped by Ghana with 75.2 percent.

Bulgaria and Kenya were ranked second and third with 74.2 percent and 73.4 percent respectively. Other African countries in the report’s top 10 are Ethiopia (4th), Egypt (5th), and Liberia (9th).

This makes Africans in general the most productive immigrants in the US ahead of those from Mexico and Central America, who constitute more than 70 percent of foreign nationals in that country.
Mexico is by far the most common country of origin, but the population of Mexican immigrants in the U.S. (both documented and undocumented) actually fell 6 percent from 2007 to 2015, according to the Pew Research Centre.
The numbers of Salvadorans, Hondurans and Guatemalans in the U.S. continued to grow.

“If we want more high-skilled, hardworking, English-speaking, ready-to-integrate immigrants, it looks like the most obvious place to find them is in African countries where English is widely spoken,” Bloomberg journalist Justin Fox, who came up with the report, said.
The report, developed from the 2016 US Census Bureau American Community Survey, ranked Nigeria 8th among the Most-Educated Immigrant Groups in the U.S.
Nigeria sandwiched between Australia (7th) and Malaysia (9th).
The report put the number of Nigerian legal immigrants in the U.S. at 262,603.
According to the report, Kenya, Nigeria, Nepal and Ghana have the highest number of citizens pursuing higher education in the US after Saudi Arabia.
Immigrants from Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana are near the top in both employment-population ratio and higher-education enrollment, it said.

Politics / Re: PDP Calls For Arrest Of Miyetti Allah Leaders by spyworlddigcon: 2:19pm On Aug 23, 2018
It is obvious that many people is not aware that Miyetti Allah is waging war against Nigerians, calling for Buhari intervention is like wasting of bloody time because he ,is not going to respond, Nigerians in all woks of life should stand in unity against this jihadist whose ground patrol is Muhammadu Buhari, waiting for Buhari to take any action against his kinsmen will be waiting for second coming of Christ.

metronaija5:
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded the arrest and trial of the leaders of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, over the association’s comment on plot to forcefully remove the President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki.

PDP made the call in a Statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan on Wednesday in Abuja.

Ologbondiyan said such “unguarded statement” echoed the threats by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Presidency, to force out Saraki, from office, describing it as ominous and revealing.

He alleged that it had also been the same group that was being used to stoke division and create violent crisis that had resulted into daily blood lettings in various parts of the country.

He wondered how the association had now become the fourth arm of government that could determine when and how to forcefully remove the number three citizen, the President of the Senate.

He said it was in the light of these treasonable and inciting utterances by Miyetti Allah, PDP demanded that President Muhammadu Buhari, should within the next 24 hours, order the arrest and commence immediate trial of the leadership of the group.

“Finally, the PDP is aware that Miyetti Allah does not represent the views and interests of the vast majority of cattle breeders or even any ethnic group in the country.

“We therefore urge all good spirited Nigerians to rise in condemnation of the actions and utterances of these misguided elements, who are being used to attempt a constitutional breach that portends grave danger to national cohesion and our hard earned democracy.

As for me, the north-east should produce the next president because the north-west have produced presidents more than any other party in this country, but for fair play PDP should open a level playing ground for all candidate to participate in the primaries, all candidate should test his or her popularity based on his or her party loyalty, past and present antecedent for PDP growth and leadership quality then, the delegates vote for their choice.

Religion / Re: Ebubemonso Emmanuel Obimma To Buhari: Resign Now, Your Govt A Disappointment by spyworlddigcon: 1:59pm On Aug 23, 2018
Those who the gods want to kill they first made him deaf and dumb, Buhari has since refused to listen to the voice of God, he will be disgraced out in 2019

Mrakeli:
The Spiritual Director, Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Ebubemonso, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign.

Akelicious reports that the cleric based his call on Buhari’s alleged inability to take charge of happenings in the country.

Ebubemonso, who spoke as part of activities marking his 7th year Priestly ordination at his Umudioka residence, also demanded unreserved apology from the Federal Government to Ndigbo, particularly members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

He accused Buhari’s government of proscribing the group and branding them terrorists, “whereas terror groups like the Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram killing people are handled with kid gloves.”

His speech read: “As you can see, there is crisis in the country. President Muhammadu Buhari is not in control of this country. People are dying on daily basis and I am not happy with it at all.

“There is indeed crisis in the country. I pray that our good Lord will salvage this country, Nigeria. There is crisis, even though those in authority are denying that there is political unrest in the country. I thank God, that God is answering our prayers. I believe that very soon, all these frictions, fracas and crisis will come to an end, because there is God.

“Well, my message for Muhammadu Buhari is let him resign since he cannot control the country. I said let him resign honourably because as you can see, he is not in control of the country, not only that, he is a sectional leader, a tribalistic leader.

“So, my stand is let him resign, as you can see his strength could no longer carry him. I am envisaging a situation where he will not be alive to complete the second term, if he comes out to campaign again. Let him resign honourably and find people who have the strength and capacity of managing the nation to carry on the baton. Nigeria is a big country and needs experts who have perfected in the political field to take control of the affairs of the nation. President Buhari is not that man.

On the controversies over the INEC’s 2019 election budget, he said: “the issue of INEC, the Senate and the Presidency, there are so many interests; they are saying so many things that we don’t know what to believe. I can’t say for sure but what I have to say is that you can see the inclination of political interests in the entire episode.

“Mark my words, APC groups are warming up to rig the election, as you can see the evidences are there. If by vote counting, APC can never win any election. If it is by counting of votes, there is no way this government will return because it is a government that is built on selfishness, nepotism, injustice. Government that is killing people, people are not happy with this government, so they knew that they under performed. What of those promises that Muhammadu Buhari made to the Nation before the election, none was accomplished, that, for me is a government of deception, running a government with deceit, it is very very bad.”

He added that “after the promises Buhari gave Nigerians before he was elected, nothing has changed. As you can see, many of our youths are unemployed, many a times when I pass or walk around the universities on mission, I see our young men, you know undergraduates, battalions of them, I ask myself what plans has the federal government have but as you can see, they don’t have any plan for them, that is why you will see somebody after being a graduate, the person will engage in one business or the other for him to survive.

“The hope of every average young man in other countries, their efforts in entering the university, studying very very hard and struggling to survive, trying to get degrees is for them to get a good job, but in our country Nigeria nothing is sure. You are a graduate, you have a wonderful certificate and that certificate is barren, certificate without satisfaction and government has no plan. It’s a pity.

“You know it has been my greatest worry. Go over there at the university and you will see people, you will see men and women, you will see our young undergraduates, sons and daughters, you know they are studying, but I am telling you that government has no plans for them, especially this government of President Buhari. Nigeria has never experience such a government, let Buhari stand up and tell us his achievements so far, let him say what he has achieved so far.

“This government has really under performed, really they came with the ideology of change but they didn’t change anything, so we are praying for another change, this one is real change that will upturn Buhari’s change that choked us. He came to power on false change promises which many believed; even a prophet of God prayed for him because everybody wanted change that will lead to a prosperous nation but here we are from frying pan to fire. Buhari is a huge disappointment to Nigeria.”

The Priest did not spare the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, who he said were not speaking out.

He said, “well, for me, Ohanaeze Ndigbo should know that Igbos are being marginalized and their voices are not felt, the voices of Ohanaeze Ndigbo is not felt. You know they are representing Igbos, let them come out and stand for Igbos and let the world and Igbos know they are standing for them, they can’t be answering Ohanaeze Ndigbo for nothing.

“I am not trying to say that they have not been making efforts but their efforts are not enough. Now IPOB came up as a result of poor governance and they are agitating that the federal government is marginalizing them. Igbos have been undergoing marginalization, that was the crusade of Nnamdi Kanu and Nnamdi Kanu was suppressed and intimidated, but I want to tell the Federal Republic of Nigeria that you can never kill an ideology.

“Let there be a strong dialogue between Ohaneze Ndigbo and IPOB to have one voice for Ndigbo. I advise the IPOB to go for peace even in their agitations, let there be love. I stand here to tell the country that their agitations are right. The agitations about the sovereign state of Biafra, about intimidation and suppression, they are right, so let the federal government look into it.

“If really Igbos are being marginalized, let them do something, we can’t be answering one Nigeria for mouth, just mere camouflage, one Nigeria on a table of sabotage. When you stifle what is meant for general consumption, that is economic sabotage, when you strangle what you supposed to give to brothers, that is wickedness.

“Let the federal government look into these agitations; it won’t end by shooting them, killing them on daily basis. Buhari should register an apology to Ndigbo for that kind of thing, how can innocent people who are agitating be proscribed? They are freedom fighters and Buhari proscribed them, branded them as terrorists whereas Boko Haram are killing people and nobody has ever proscribed them or branded them as terrorists. Fulani herdsmen are killing people on daily basis and nobody has ever proscribed and branded them terrorists. But agitating youths in the South East, my dear brothers were branded terrorists by their country Nigeria. Is this not outright intimidation?”

This is good one Sir the truth most be said no matter what everybody can not be intimidated, please I am waiting for your next write-up as promised. Dankwambo all the way.
donaldstank:

Hello Nigerians
My name is Somadina Tony Norman, an English born Nigerian, I am not a politician neither do I stays in Nigeria but my attention has been drawn based on sudden decaying state of our beloved Nation, after a thorough research about Nigeria political journey in this seventh republic I have decided to comment.
First of all without been biased, both PDP and APC has their short comings, but among two bad options one must be better, in this case PDP is far more better in all ramification in terms of good governance, rule of law, infrastructural development, health care delivery, educational and economic reforms, just to mention but few. From my research I learned that APC has failed Nigeria as a result of their un-political behaviors, without going more further after my research, due consultation and interviews I am of the opinion that “APC HAS FAILED” because PDP mistakes in their sixteen years of power is far better than APC’s possible best over last three years.
Therefore my thought and aspiration is to use this medium to gather support for a great party, the People Democratic Party [PDP] and of the man for the job. In PDP I learned they have a thousand and one options to choose from as far as the 2019 general election is concern, but among the better options at their disposal they still have the best to offer Nigerians. Who are my talking about?
Dr Hassan Ibrahim Dankwambo, an incorruptible and a credible leader who is not bias in carrying out his duties, a man of peace, non-tribalistic, non-religion fanatic, non-ethnic bigot, in the moment of total darkness, the needs for a light arises, here come the shining STAR who has proven that Nigeria problems are his burden please VOTE HIM.
Let us not allow sentiments to blindfold our thoughts, consciences and integrity. It is time to change the change, I mean there will be change inside the change. So whether you an Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and Fulani? Are you from south-south, south-east, south-west, and north-central, north-east, north-west or the FCT? Are you a Christian, Muslim or a Traditional believer? Please do not forget “NIGERIA FIRST”
Oh Nigeria youth!!! The most creative youth in the history of black race, Leaders of tomorrow. Arise! Arise!! Arise!!! Prepare your voters card lets prove to them that we have a say in this country, let’s vote them out those:
Who offers bribe and demand for ten percent
Who are corruption captains and chieftains but claims they are fighting corruption.
Who made laws and orders but never abide in the rule of law
Who promised and not only fail, but denied or cancelled all they have promised.
Who promised security but used our brothers and sisters in the forces to kill us.
Who promised good living to us but today we are facing the worst challenges of our lives.
Who failed to do something about our health care facilities but flies abroad for the best medical attention.
Who suffocate our educational sector while their children are cruising in the best universities around the globe.
Who are trying to relegate our women to the other room or nothing
Who abides in infamous disrespect and disregard for due process, rule of law, independence of the judicial and disobedience to court orders
Their government is known for impunity reigns the supreme
In their appointments, cronyism, nepotism, tribalism, clannishness and favoritism triumph merits and competence
Today Nigerians are hungrier than before, we have been rendered destitute and impecunious, and we have been treated to indecorous media trial. But enough is enough, say no to;
APC: Association of Past Criminals
APC: All Political Confusionalist
APC: All Pathetic Congress
APC: Amalgamation of Political Cowards
APC: Anti Party People
APC: All Promises Cancelled
APC: Assassinator of People Conscience
APC: Association of Progressive Criminals
Now I am pleading, begging and seeking your favor to all PDP chieftains both former and current functionaries it is time to unite and join forces together because a house on isolation will never stand the test of time, let us not forget “we are never stronger until when tested to prove our readiness and willingness to serve.
“As individuals we have achieve a little, but as a united one party we can equally achieve a lot”. In my next article I shall be discussing “the Government of lies and their rigging strategies”
God bless the People Democratic Party [PDP] of Nigeria and may God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thank you.
Yours Sincerely
A concerned Nigerian

APC is looking for a cheap political advantages but I want to make it clear to them, 2019, there is no chance in the Aso Rock, if they are looking for where to pitch their tent they should look for the next door. Dr Hassan Ibrahim Dankwambo is the peoples mandate and there is no going back by the special grace of God, PDP all the way, HID sai ka yi.

Dankwambo42019:
Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Hassan DanKwambo has dissociated himself from a video that has now gone viral where he was said to be campaigning for President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the 2019 presidential elections.

While reacting to the said video which is now in circulation in the social media, Hassan DanKwambo through his Special Assistant on Media, Junaidu Usman Abubakar declared that there is no reason for him as a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign for a presidential candidate of another political party.

The Governor pointed out that the video is the “handiwork of political detractors within and outside the state who are bent on destroying the political career built over the years which is visible in the performance of the PDP led administration in the state.”

While confirming the authenticity of the video, the Governor through his media aide explained that, “No, this was his 2015 swearing in speech at the stadium when President Muhammadu Buhari was elected as the new in-coming President of Nigeria. What is happening is the sponsorship of Abuja based nPDP members who want to discredit the personality of Hassan DanKwambo.”

He added that, “the detractors decided to use the video now because of the growing political influence of Hassan DanKwambo. The developmental projects executed by the administration are testimonies to his growing political influence.”

The Governor however reiterated his determination to remain in the PDP and work for its success in the general elections expressing confidence that the party is now reformed and ready to face the electorates in the 2019 general elections.

On the 2019 presidential race, Hassan DanKwambo through the Media aide explained that consultations are on-going and at the appropriate time a definite pronouncement will be made publicly.

He then called on the people of Gombie State to remain committed to the ideals of the PDP which he said has taken the state to greater heights assuring that the party will not let them down in terms of development.

It is true that a golden fish has no hiding place. The professional, political and public service career of national and global leaders are always in public domain. Their performance or lack of it stands them out as the populace, public affairs analysts and social affairs commentators are wont to publicly and vocally assess their varied contributions to the socio-economic wellbeing of the citizenry at large.

The above musing aptly describes the dynamic and highly resourceful Governor of Gombe state, Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, FCIB, FCA, OON, (Talban-Gombe) within the backdrop of a higher calling that is currently tolling its bell on him ahead of 2019. For the consummate technocrat, cerebral chartered accountant and super-achieving administrative helmsman par excellence, much has been written and chronicled on his superb and superlative infrastructural and developmental exploit as well as his groundbreaking reforms both in Gombe state as the incumbent chief executive officer and the office of the Accountant General of the Federation that have repositioned and recalibrated the said offices for a more credible, responsive and efficient service delivery to the people and the nation at large.

Much of the publicity has been unsolicited as the unassuming and largely self-effacing Talban Gombe believes in silent and unheeded achievements, with solid and indelible administrative reforms and infrastructural projects on ground to speak for themselves rather than engaging in undue media hype or sensational headlines that are the province of many a politician.

However, much as Dankwambo might want to avoid the public limelight, his tremendous and all-encompassing performance at various levels of governance and administration has attracted unprecedented adulation and encomiums to the extent that no less an influential and prescient man of God, the famed Catholic prelate, Father Ejike Camilus Mbaka, has predicted that the 2019 presidential mandate rests squarely on the broad shoulders of the highly respected Gombe state helmsman. The revered cleric did not mince words while prophesying that Dankwambo has the wherewithal to take Nigeria decisively and unerringly out of the woods of despair, despondency and decay that the APC-led federal government has plunged it since coming to power on May 29, 2015.

In an unequivocal and straightforward celestial pontification, Father Mbaka predicted that the savvy and articulate Dankwambo will inherit the presidential crown in order to repeat the magic that he has performed in Gombe state and at the federal level in order to bring the country closer to the standard of living and economic attainment of advanced countries in the global comity of nations; no more, no less. With the pronouncement of the Catholic priest who is renowned for the authenticity and fecundity of his prophecies and who has never for once met Dankwambo in person, the whole political configuration, calculation and permutations for 2019 has been inexorably altered.

At the moment, the vast majority of the nation’s citizenry are lining up, locked in step behind the fortuitous and auspicious candidacy of the Gombe political wonder who defied all imaginable odds to emerge the only re-elected PDP governor in the whole of the North despite the fact that the rival APC swept the region in a massive tsunami during the 2015 general election.

Indeed, the Peoples Democratic Party leadership seems galvanized by Father Mbaka’s earth-shaking prediction affirming that Dankwambo is eminently qualified to assume the mantle of presidential leadership at any time and that his candidacy must come as a huge relief for legions of the party’s faithful as well as millions of ordinary Nigerians who are craving for a credible alternative to the directionless leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and his fellow travelers in APC. Without doubt, the last man standing, as Talban is affectionately referred to, won in Gombe on the basis of merit, hardwork, competence and exemplary performance.

He touched the lives of the people of the state in all material spheres, be it in road infrastructure, health, education, power, water supply, rural development, agriculture, manpower development and women or youth empowerment. All these sectors have been decisively and positively affected by Dankwambo’s No-Citizen-Left-Behind policy. All the eleven local government areas of the state have felt the impact of the visionary leadership of the governor. For instance, immediately after the 2015 elections, the first set of roads that were constructed Dankwambo where in the enclave of his defeated APC gubernatorial rival, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya This was in consonance with admirable mantra of Politics Without Bitterness of the Talban Gombe.

Indeed, the infrastructural revolution embarked upon by the indefatigable governor has been unprecedented throughout the nation, dwarfing those of Lagos, Rivers, Akwa Ibom among others, on an income per capital ratio, given the fact that Gombe State receives a paltry N2 billion per annum as federal allocation compared to the over N15-N30 billion naira received annually by the aforementioned oil-producing states.

Tens of thousands of kilometers of urban and rural roads have been completed while a lot more are under construction. Hundreds of hospitals, maternity and health centres, primary, secondary and Arabic schools have been either constructed or rehabilitated with adequate supply of hospital equipment, drugs, desks, chairs and laboratory equipment respectively. In the agriculture sector, tremendous progress has been attained with fertilizer, seedlings, farm implements, tractors, harvesters, planters, sprayers and many more supplied or leased to agrarian farmers at highly subsidized rates to boost agricultural production in the Jewel of the Savannah.

Dankwambo’s youth and women empowerment programme is also a complement to his development agenda for the state as tens of thousands of women and youths have been trained in fish farming, rabbit and poultry production, bee keeping, hair dressing, barbing, sewing, tying and dying, soap making, as well as confectionary skills.

All these are geared towards enhancing their income-generating and self-sustenance status. Thousands of graduates and other categories of staff have been employed in the Gombe State public service ever since the Talban Gombe assumed office on May 29, 2011.

Indeed, to catalogue the length, breadth and scope of the landmark administrative, infrastructural and developmental exploits of the Last Man Standing is beyond the breadth of this treatise, but it is fair to surmise that the nation needs, as a matter of urgency, the leadership sagacity of Governor Dankwambo, as well as his depth of experience, vision, vigour and fortitude to pilot the ship of the Nigerian State to safer and calmer shores come 2019.
