The best way to go about this BLCO business is simply for the buyer, seller and mandates to meet FACE TO FACE. That way, all points of contention can be sorted out and the deal can move ahead. I've always genuine sources, but due to the embarrassments I have received in 2009 because of this, I have simply decided not to engage in any more BLCO deals until when I attend some oil summits abroad this year where I am sure I can actually meet GENUINE BUYERS. Trying to deal with people here on this forum or anywhere else is a bloody waste of time. |
unless you will be starting with a broadband service provider with the CDMA networks, or you have a cheaper source for power generation, I do not know how you are going to break even. |
Brother, take that money, meet a fuel station owner, and offer him 20% of your profits in exchange for selling a petroleum product in his location. You can combine funds (since N1m in not enough for a truckload). You get your money at sales point without hassles. For you to make money in Naija, sell a high-demand product where you get your money instantly! Fuel biz is it! |
I can meet regular and large orders. Problem is can the buyers make regular and large payment for the regular and large orders? |
How long can we keep putting up with this stupidity? Since when did a bank comfort letter become a cashable instrument in lieu of cash? |
Great posts by neighbour on this thread. Highly constructive and informative. |
Are you the direct seller or just some facilitator facilitating another facilitator? If you are a direct seller, I can give you a business this very weekend. No stories. |
T-boss, This post is not about you or me. Stop the distraction. This is why I hate people like you always coming here to distract and cause problems for everyone. In case you are too dumb to read, I suggest you go and read the post again. The process the guy is talking off is called PEDDLING and for that, he needs a peddler's license! Stop trying to cloud your ignorance here. I give answers and advice to people who genuinely ask them and not come here to argue with fools like you who think of nothing else but to distract people and make mountains out of mole hills. As is always my practice, once troublemakers invade a post, I let them have the last word and step right out. Jeez has got his answer. He is free to make his choice on what he wants. You T-boss (with all your claims), are yet to even provide an answer to his question here. I'm out! |
If you are talking of haulage, you do not need to go into all these technicalities. As soon as you fulfill the requirements for registering your truck and driver with the depot/refinery, you are usually paid CASH to haul products. |
t-boss:Your last point makes some sense here, but not the first three. You need to have a peddlers' license, and your driver must be a NUPENG member. For you to say he does not need any such documents is just ridiculous. Did you read the poster's first post? And when you say the roads are better up country, exactly what do you mean? That ALL Northern roads are well paved? This is why I usually make reference to the number of years I have spent in the business. Not to use it to boast (as Mr Fader wrongly thought), but because it reiterates the point to the person needing the information that most of what I know in the petroleum business is not just theory I read from somewhere. I have personally engaged in them so I speak from a great deal of experience and I try to tell it like it is so that anyone who ventures in will not encounter any surprises. ode remo:My number is ok. Maybe network problem. I have sent you an email. We can communicate that way then. |
You can call me up at 08027601655. I do not post my email here because of spam mails. |
The main risk is the trouble taken to transport the product through our bad roads. Presently, most petroleum products now come from Lagos and PH, although the NNPC says the other two refineries in Warri and Kad will become functional by month-end. So that's the risk there. The risk of accident. Otherwise, it's a question of buying from the south, and taking to the North to sell. I am aware that this product is not too available up North. The closer to Niger the area is, the more scarce it is and the higher the price. It's a general rule for our petroleum products. If they need more help with lifting, contact me. |
Nope! I will never get one. Not interested in risking contracting Hepatitis C (remember our boobylivous babe Pamela Anderson?) or even the big one! |
I wonder o! |
When posting, try not to use capital letters. It connotes shouting and is deemed as being rude. The guy needed an answer and I supplied it. If you got nothing to contribute here, then you are better off posting elsewhere, dude! |
Yes, I have been getting calls from these fools since Friday. Anyway, I have laid my mantle on my phone and if the people doing this are here reading this, let them hear my voice now: ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU PEOPLE TO CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN STARTING FROM TODAY, AND YOU WILL BE STRUCK WITH INCURABLE AND IRREVOCABLE MADNESS! YOU WILL RUN OUT unclothed ON THE STREETS AND STAY THAT WAY TILL THE DAY OF YOUR DEATH! Anyone who wants to try should do so and see if Power no pass power! |
Do you have a peddler's license from DPR? You have to get that. Your truck and driver must be registered with NUPENG. And such an arrangement can only work for kerosene, and even at that, it is better you do it locally, i.e. within Lagos. That up country arrangement cannot work. After many years in this business. I should know, trust me. |
So what has become of Obieem's order? |
Believe me, I will be highly interested in the new thread. It's really becoming ridiculous some of the stuff one hears on phone calls. These days, I do not even respond to any phone calls about anything regarding crude oil and all those stuff anymore. |
Simmarco:This Engr Emma guy has nothing to offer. He called me in Dec concerning PMS supply to two towns in the East. I gave him a price quote, with the condition that he comes with his money to PH refinery for booking and loading. He says he has never done business that way (can you believe such talk?). That he pays when he sees the product. Imagine that! I should use my money, (N5.6m) load the trucks, pay haulage fees from my pocket and bring to his location. No contract, no agreement, no payment guarantee on his part. I should just load products and start heading to the East. How crazy can people be? These are the kind of guys I keep warning about, guys that pose as oil marketers but when it gets down to putting their money where their mouth is, they disappear into thin air. Anybody who pays a visit to the PH refinery and sees the level of activity there, as well as the volume of transactions handled by the banks in that area (Oceanic, Intercontinental, UBA, etc) on a daily basis knows that the area is not where kids or jokers go fooling around. I WILL BE VERY SURPRISED IF OBIEEM COMES THRU WITH THIS. IF HE DOES, SIMMARCO PLEASE POST HERE AND I WILL BE THE FIRST TO OFFER AN APOLOGY ON THIS FORUM TO HIM. I have similarly challenged others like Amenke and his like on similar posts they have made saying they have crude, they have DPK, they have AGO, they have PMS, and they could not answer the challenges. Rather Amenke started using threats and other kind of stuff on my person. Of course as someone who has been in this business for years with DPR licensing to go with it, I cannot be fazed by such threats. It is high time these jokers put up or shut up. This is 2010. Let us have some sanity here! I |
i-Guru:Just call me on 08027601655. I will get you one at a cost of 4,500. olorunoba:I have an international MasterCard issued by a European bank. I use it for "stubborn" transactions such as yours and it works just fine. My service charge is N2,500, which you will pay along with the cost of the domain name. Just give me a holla and it is settled. |
I can do the payment for you. Just send across the $10 plus a service charge of N2,000. As you know, we have to pay for card loading fees, and of course my service. I will send a proof (email notification of previous payments I have made) to your box. |
I can make online payments via credit card and paypal. I have a local card and international credit cards as well as a verified Paypal account. I can provide proof of successful previous payments as evidenced by email notifications received from card processing companies. My service charge is N2,800 for payments below $100 and N5,000 for payments above $100. Official exchange rate at the time of the transaction holds. You can alo buy your cards for Paypal verification for N4,500. All you need to do is to contact me on 08027601655. |
paulomx:I sent you an SMS. I can do the payment for you with proof of previous ones I have done on the past. |
yeye4live:The only big fool I see here is you. Do you even know how to interprete the info on a way bill? I started discharging products from a tanker as far back as 1994. How old were you then? Who is your sponsoring company, so we check out your customer code and your transaction history. Later on, you can get my name and cross check with the owner of the NNPC Mega Station in Enugu and see if the name rings a bell in the guy's ears. He was the refinery representative of the sponsoring company through whom I got my first DPR license as far back as the early 90s. Do you know how to "cross-check the exact quantity" of the contents of a petroleum tanker? List out the procedure here, including the formula used to convert the readings you get on the T-Bar to litres. Do you even know what a T-Bar is? (I doubt it). I am not a kid in this business and some of the stuff I see on this forum about oil business (such as your post) just makes me laugh. I have friends in NUPENG and PENGASSAN. We even knew about the fuel situation as far back as 20th Dec before it struck I can give you the number of a Nairalander who contacted me then. Let him show you the text I sent him when we were trying to negotiate something. We don't come here to play games. If you are serious, come down to the refinery and pay for your product. I don't know how many banks in Nigeri a still give bank guarantees, especially to fake companies with no transaction history in the oil and gas industry! |
So who is paying the $50,000 per day charter fee for the vessel, or does the company own the vessel? If the vessel is a chartered one, how long do you intend to keep paying this money until when a buyer shows up? |
The guy does not have a dime. He is looking for who will take petroleum products to his location. Once there, you will start hearing stories like "oh, we will give you a pst-dated cheque" and stuff like that. Implication: they will use your money by asking you to bring products (meaning that you spend close to N4million loading and transporting the products). Then they issue you a post-dated cheque, which will clear when they must have sold your products. You will be lucky if you get your money when due. I have been in this business long enough to know the tricks people like the poster employ. In petroleum business, SERIOUS BUYERS TAKE THEIR MONEY TO PAY FOR THE PRODUCTS IN THE REFINERIES OR DEPOTS. Or they get a bank guarantee from their bank, so that any default on the buyer's part will result in his bank paying for the product and clearing themselves with their client (the buyer) thereafter. But how many banks are willing to issue BGs now that a lot of companies are on the "non-performers list" of the CBN. Be wise o! Just ask this dude to produce a payment guarantee and hear the stories that will start coming up. |
Tell your company to go to the refinery in PH and pay to collect their products. A lot of buyers from Aba come there and follow the process. Stop trying to use others to use their hard earned money to make you rich, coming under all manner of guises. |
I'm a dealer of petroleum products, mostly in the PH refinery and can tell you how best to put your truck into use. 1) You need to get the truck and the driver registered with the NUPENG branch. I can handle the logistics but you will foot the bill. 2) Once you have completed this step, your truck can then be used to load products for people. You can load AGO, PMS, DPK. I can personally channel orders to your truck so you can be sure of making good money daily. Currently, transport charges for 33,000 litres starts from N45,000 to areas within PH, N50,000 to Ahoada, N70,000 to Omoku and can go all the way up to N200,000 to places like Ilorin and Ogoja. However, you will have to pay me 35% of what you make on a weekly basis. This is negotiable of course. So you can pick up your calculator and check out how much this arrangement can bring to your pocket. If it sounds good to you, pick up your phone and call me on 08027601655. |
