hansad:What is with your obsession with the south west and why do you keep thinking its only they who voted against GEJ?....what about those who voted against him in the south and east shey we are not allowed to excercise our franchise again? GEJ failed whether you choose to admit it or not and nobody is expecting Baba to perform any miracles, all we want is sanity in the polity that has been turned to a circus by the current regime |
Txonyi:Yea and i fully support that but the guy i quoted said we should just pack up and start coming bk like there is some sort of accommodation and employment he has created over dere |
hansad:You still made no sense whatsoever oh and its you who is crying over lost elections that should watch the lagbaja video |
Txonyi:Yes we will just leave our business and properties and come and live under iweka bridge abi |
hansad:Drove our economy to be better than South Africa's? And that is suppossed to affect the average man how exactly? When u say the south west media convinced people that GEJ was bad, how about we the few from the south that voted against him where we also convinced by the south west media...pls take your sentimental crap somewhere else, its simple the man failed and he was voted out, stop making it sound like he was a victim |
Txonyi:Hey tribalist, so all your brothers living in Lagos and other places where there is no electricity and fuel should also suffer because GEJ wants to deal with APC abi, please try to be rational before posting stuff |
With regards changing of relationship status i don't necessarily think that's true....most ladies are hardly ever single cus the minute they break up with tom, they start dating jude in less than a week and also very insecure so the minute a new guy is in their lives they change status ASAP...my opinion though |
saltlakecityupo:Whether it is Obasanjo's handwork or Jonathan's handwork abi Tinubu's handwork, I'm not sure Nigerians really care that much, our politicians have for so long carried on with so much impunity that its sickening, these people even go about contesting elections in this same country oh please, diplomacy and "rules" will have to take a back seat in this case, the dude has all but even admitted to his guilt, the Attorney General has sadi nothing illegal is going on, if its "witch hunting" as you called it then let the politicians keep exposing themselves one after the other till there is none of them left...Buruji Akpa amu should be made to face the full arms of the American law and i dnt care how they get him there to do that |
Nice salient points made by the op but i believe each tribe has to undergo that building bridges stuff and not just we Igbos.....our main problem to me is we keep playing the "victim" card we've kept playing for years now and its not yielding any positive gains politically, what we really need is a confab where all regions are equally represented and not that scam GEJ did that till today nothing and also i laugh when people scream referendum because a good number of Igbos I've come across both here in Lagos and in the east would rather remain "One" Nigeria than venture off to biafra, we really need to set our priorities right as a people and that starts with what the Obi of Onitsha said recently that we need to start bringing our investments home |
Desola:And this rant of yours relates with the post how exactly? |
HiGod:And you had to insult the whole Igbo race to put your point across? |
ALISMILE:And you had to insult the whole Igbo race to drive home your point? |
Buruji Akpa amu should shush it and face the music, his brother Fayose is already defending him, and as for those fellows saying America has no right to extradition biko you guys should go and take a seat somewhere, this Akpa amu abi Kashamu of a fellow very much guilty and his utterances point to that fact, its times like this diplomacy is thrown out the window and this useless politicians are treated like the animals they are.....and to think people actually voted this nigga into the senate...smh |
Truckpusher:oh but you answered all my questions with questions too! So you hate that too well me too, as for diplomacy yea its all well and good but not in a country like Nigeria where Impunity reigns supreme, there will always be exceptions or are you telling me we rather get this cheeny fellow and Buruji Akpamu goes to serve "you" as a senator? Even in the world of diplomacy my brother, there will always be exceptions...Akpa amu should go and answer for his crimes and as someone suggested, you can open a thread about the Haliburton scandal then we would all sing the same chorus but for now Buruji Akpamu should go and face the music |
Truckpusher:Why is he running from the US if he has nothing to be scared of? |
Truckpusher:Is he or Is he not guilty? |
Truckpusher:Bros pls let's not turn this into an Igbo/ yoruba thing biko, the man is as guilty as can be deduced even by his own urtterances, any reasonable Nigerian should be happy with developments such as this and why has the govt not filed for this cheeny fellow to be extradited too? Its simple there probably isn't enough evidence for that, stop trying to justify "perceived witch hunting" according to you or better still you can start a movement calling for a re-opening of the Haliburton scandal for now Buruji Akpamu should go and face the music |
coputa:"perceived enemies"...the man himself admitted he wouldn't step foot anywhere close to the US a few weeks back so what exactly is your point, my question is if he aint guilty then all well and good we can say he is being hounded but he is and that's the difference, you would do well to stop playing politics of emotion, the baba is as guilty as daylight and should be made to face the music...if and when "perceived enemies" are being hunted down unjustly and illegally I'm sure Nigerians will stand up and scream blue murder just like with NOI for now Kashamu abi Akpamu whatever his name is should face the music |
Tufiakwa for some of the persons we share this country with......A known drug Lord who somehow was elected senator is about to be extradited to face charges and i don't care where they are taking him to, the issue is he is about to be flushed from the Nigerian environment and some people feel its "selective judgement" oh please, the man is a known criminal and if this is "selective justice" then i proudly appreciate it, we badly need more of this type of "selective justice" to rid this country of all this corrupt elements |
All this protocol just to get laid? @op seems its only robotic ladies you come across abi |
Them dey use that one picture blow garri for village be that na...Onye Ara somebody |
Nah no need putting yourself through all that emotional stress, once she says NO move on...there is always someone for out there for everyone you just have to be patient enough as they journey through to your life |
I'd like to share.....In my case i was barely ever in school due to my ailing health condition, it was either a hospital bed, emergency ward or at home receiving treatment, i could count the number of times i was in school and the lecturers in the department could care less, missed exams, tests and term papers and had an extra year( call it 2 due to the ASUU ish) and seems its going to be a 3rd class when they through with computation now I'm not giving excuses for my inadequacies but i know I'm better than whatever is written on that paper at the end of it, my course adviser says to go for my post-graduate immediately after service and he'd fix me up in the dpt, have relations who have all assured me that once I'm through, getting a job won't be a prob, at a point i even thought of re-writing jamb and starting all over again but declined, its all about grace, luck and in the Nigerian context( who u know)...........@ op i really appreciate this piece of yours and in the end as long as you can defend whatever grade it is you have come out with, keep your chin up and work to improve your skills or improve on the 2.2 or 3rd class you have got no need dwelling on one's mistakes...sorry for the epistle |
Mogidi:Onye Ara somebody....Bros you take this your APC paranoia too seriously |
Probably from all the energy they've exhausted on the lady( in this case being you op) |
Stop patronising night workers but then again when it starts most men think with their third leg |
I vote Maureensylvia cc: NlJega |
Guess he sounds too perfect for you right? That's the thing ladies fail to get, a guy who genuinely has feelings for you will treat you like a queen but most of you guys see such guys as being too weak or too caring use him as a mugu, think he's only after getting inside your panties.....give the guy a chance that is if your mind is in it o |
@op nice write up and one of the most sensible threads I've seen here since 2009 but here is the thing, never mind what most of the female monikers here are yapping about because it does not correspond to the reality of the real world out there, believe it or not its the same ones who say NO SEX that will still be the ones to pester you about it, its simple any girl/lady who doesn't want sex in a relationship will decline your proposal because that way they are under no obligation to "open up", you date a guy, you spend weekends at his place, he spends time at your place, you go for romantic dinners and you actually really do "love" this guy/lady and you tell me you guys won't rip each others clothes off at some point oh please! |
Nairaland and its issues with hasty generalisations especially towards the women folk, we should learn not to use our personal experiences to make a general statement......@op u made some really good points and gave really good advises to young folks who took time to read through what you wrote BUT let's not always be quick to judge ladies all over because of a few lousy ones, from experience if you meet a lady who truly loves you in the deepest sense of that word "love" forget it na u go chase am broke or not, as long as she sees the effort u putting in to make your situation better than what it already is, no matter how rich or broke one is you are bound to spend in a relationship as a guy now the level to which you do this spending is another issue altogether but I refuse to subscribe to the notion that one must be very comfortable before finding "love" or that no Nigerian Lady is ready to settle with a struggling guy. These ladies marrying guys and by ladies i mean even graduates getting married every saturday to guys who stay in one bedroom apartments or face me I face you, do you think they didn't have better suitors? Most probably believe that things won't always be that way because they have seen something only they can see in that guy and are ready to stick it out with him and p.s. As a guy one should also learn to cut his coat according to his size that for me is another problem cus you see her and her friends in different cars every weekend going to one event and the other and you that just finished NYSC say that's the type of girl you are in "love" with and when she eventually agrees and starts to demand stuff regularly you come here and say "all girls are the same"... |
I think just like the south-east, the Niger Delta region has also been plagued with bad leaders who are after nothing but to enrich their personal pockets and that is where one has to envy to an extent our brothers from the south-west when it comes to their leaders and holding them accountable, the yorubas in "most" cases are ready to condemn and totally deny you once you are found guilty of any wrong doing or misappropriation of funds while in public office but we would rather scream neglect and selective justice when our own brothers are found guilty i.e those fellows who went about carrying placards that their sister be left alone even after she was found guilty as a minister and went further to elect her a senator in that same state, I'm not saying the south-west is more developed or advanced though I'm saying they to an "extent" don't take rubbish from their elected officials like we from other parts of the country do especially the Niger-delta region |
boluyongp:that's really cool shame on Lagos and why don't the National teams ever play in other parts of the country |
