May God help you guys. They thought the last one they took will be the last one that will ever appeal to them. Change has reversed their fortune even further. They will gladly take even fresh grass and salty water now. |

jesusjnr2020: Heartlessness is what comes to mind if all you can see here is what was not in the picture! So Jesus was heartless when he asked christians to avoid publicity when doing charity? Take it easy. |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Only Kind Of Giving That Reaps Treasures In Heaven by Standing5(m): 3:09pm On Jun 27, 2021 |
jesusjnr2020: Do you have any issues with people giving alms, because I don't think you would be speaking of what Jesus said if it was tithes and offering instead the person in the picture was giving.
Besides, how do you know it was the person's camera? Can't you also see that it was an urgent situation where the needy needed to be fed immediately.
Heartlessness is what comes to mind if all you can see here is what was not in the picture! If Jesus sent you here as you claimed in your signature, follow what Jesus said about how to give alms. Urgency can make one forget to turn off the camera but that isn't the case here. Most people do it on purpose to be seen by men and for the praise of men. |
Politics › Re: How FG Will Tax Profits Made By Twitter, Others In Nigeria – VP Osinbajo by Standing5(m): 2:48pm On Jun 27, 2021 |
Osyxcel: I'm familiar with the Finance Act, both 2019 & 2020. You can tax an entity that's not registered in Nigeria. If Twitter or any other SM company doesn't want to open an office in Nigeria, the only thing you can do is to ban them and maybe bar corporate entities from transacting with them. Asides that, there's nothing the government can do. Taxing twitter without their head office being in Nigeria will set a bad precedence. One day all websites too will be banned. This is abuse of privilege by the govt. |
Politics › Re: How FG Will Tax Profits Made By Twitter, Others In Nigeria – VP Osinbajo by Standing5(m): 2:39pm On Jun 27, 2021 |
This is like going to a private library to tax readers for profits made when they apply information acquired from the library in real life. Normal society will tax the library as a business then tax business in the society by their profits but not their activities. Tax internet service providers instead. If a business leverages on twitter to make profit, tax the business directly. If twitter must be taxed then let every website runned as part of business and accessed in Nigeria too be taxed. This is the same incompetence that sent twitter regional office to Ghana. |

Jesus also told us to not let the right hand know what the left is doing as regards charity, but that picture of the giving in the OP is accompanied by a camera. Most NGOs aren't from the heart. Go to borno and hear stories of NGOs shortchanging IDPs. True NGO or NGO-minded folks won't create or seek to make any noise when giving. People give for many reasons. They give to insult, they give out of strife, jealousy, to attract donation(like NGOs do). Some even give to impress onlookers. Some give out of devilish instincts. If you aren't giving for any of the above mentioned purpose, I see no reason for publishing your givings. |

After using these same religious dung to render their local leagues useless, they are seeking to make the EPL and other major European leagues useless too.
Your religion is suppose to be private affair. Fast at your own convenience. Pray at your own convenience. As a christian, I can decide against working in a brewery or consuming their product. It will be intrusive to seek to impose my own choices on those who chose to work with breweries or consume their products. |

There is no country in the world where you don't find an Igbo man. We all know this. Stop pushing it, propaganda days on your newspaper are over. Yoruba's are in Benin, Togo and ivory cost asides some south american countries. They also have people spread allover the world like the Igbo's. It is hard to argue in favour ofghe Igbo's on this one. |
