They jailed Ibori, they are harassing Diezani for owning a small part of London and living large amongst their elite....but they want o have plantation in Africa and be left alone to control the life of the continent.

Dr Nyatsuru should continue his ownership of that farmland. Thats his eligibility as a son of the soil.

Folks like you is why Nigerian leaders get away with theft and mismanagement.
Do you have idea of how many Yorubas and Igbos are in the Jos-Kaduna-Zaria triangle alone? They pay their tax there and expect immediate impact of governance there. Will a man with Osun origin go back from Kaduna or Jos to Osun to treat malaria? The logical answer is NO. He resides in Kaduna and expects primary healthcare from Kaduna govt. You can't collect 'IPOB' tax in Kaduna and expect them to treat malaria in IPOB land. Wisdom is profitable to guide.

While the FAAC drama unfolds, let me voice my anger with the Northern dominated and corrupt NNPC.

This NNPC is trying to build huge pipelines to Kano Kaduna and Abuja in addition to huge power plants.
Now the NNPC has a primary assignment of overseeing the petroleum resource of Nigeria and can't maintain a refinery that is suppose to employ Nigerians and swell our pockets, instead the northern dominated NNPC is trying to override the authority of the ministry of power by building power plants with 'intercepted' fund within NNPC.

I pity this generation of short memory span. The Allocation saga is only a small part of the whole picture.

Jonathan leading Nigeria into war -El-Rufai
“I want to build a state where there will not be indigene or alien. A child born today is already owing N15, 000 debt. We will improve on Internal Generated Revenue to get things done the way they should be.”
The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, said he has uncovered plans of President Goodluck Jonathan to lead Nigeria into war in order to stay in office beyond 2015.

He said President Jonathan and his associates were trying to do that in order to bring to fore the part of constitution that states that when there is war the country cannot hold elections.

The former FCT minister said his party and Nigerians would not accept the plot as elections must hold in all parts of the country as scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Mr. El-Rufai, addressing journalists on Sunday during a courtesy call to the correspondent chapel, Kaduna, said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had revolved overtime to become criminal.

He said the ruling party was escalating insecurity and disintegrating the nation.

“Jonathan is leading the country into war in order not to have election in 2015 so he can enjoy additional six months or thereabouts as stipulated in the constitution,” he said. “But we will not allow that to happen.

“Everybody in PDP is on his own. Whereas, in APC, we are working together in unity as a party, from counsellor to president.”

When he was questioned on his plans for Kaduna should he emerge state governor come 2015, he said Kaduna was different from Abuja, but quickly added that if people elected him, it meant they wanted change.

“I can address the challenges facing the state,” he said. “This is the first time that a sitting governor in the state would be that tensed up to the extent that he’s saying I am not from Kaduna.

“I want to build a state where there will not be indigene or alien. A child born today is already owing N15, 000 debt. We will improve on Internal Generated Revenue to get things done the way they should be.”

He frowned at being referred to as controversial, saying he only tended to get things done even when others thought such a task was difficult, which according to him, got him attention from former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

“If I was controversial, it would have been known before I became FCT Minister,” he said.

agabusta:
Engaging in joint venture with Niger republic to build a refinery at the border is of advantage to Nigeria and Niger. Stop being petty with your thinking.

Niger has crude, and as such, the refinery will have no need for Nigerian crude.

Moreover. It would discourage the smuggling of petroleum products from Nigeria to Niger. The refinery will also provide the extreme parts of the Northern Nigeria with petroleum products and as such reduce the cost and logistics associated with moving petroleum products up those extreme North. Our roads will also be relieved of some fuel tankers.

A lot of the upheavals we are having in the downstream has to do with smuggling to neighbouring counties.

If JV with Niger will solve the smuggling problems up North, and Dangote refinery will flood the West African market, the fuel demand in Nigeria will decline to some extent and may be locally met if other players and the national refineries come on stream.
Stop doing mumuish oversabi. With all the advantages a huge southern Nigeria based refinery has why hasn't the same govt made good moves to build one. If a Niger/Nigeria refinery had all those advantages and prnspects why didn't Dangote - a private individual - invest there?
Does those reasons of yours also justify the location oe huge power plants in Kaduna, Kano and Abuja by NNPC also. We know how the northerners resist any progress that doesn't serve them and their huge entitlement mentality.

I see my mistake. I midunderstood. Anyway you hydroelectric construction cost neglects fact hydroelectric plants have longer lifetimes than gas power plants. Then it's way cheaper to cooperate with lower electricity cost. Over life of plant I would say the hydro cheaper long run.

Politics › Re: Aisha Buhari Tours Petrolex Mega Oil City, In Ogun (Photos) by Standing5(m): 1:01am On Dec 12, 2017
freakyamanda:
The wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Buhari yesterday, paid a visit to the Petrolex Mega oil city at Ibefun, Ogun State. The Petrolex mega oil city is the site of the 300 million-liter tank farm that will be commissioned tomorrow, Dec 12, 2017. It is also the site of the proposed 250,000 bpd refinery, which will be the second, privately-owed refinery in Nigeria.

The wife of the president was accompanied by the wife of the Speaker, house of Representatives, Mrs Gimbiya Dogara, and former Deputy Governor of Plateau state, Mrs Paulen Tallen(OFR)

Besides the refinery and the tank farm, Petrolex is also building a lube plant, fertilizer plant and gas processing facility, which will turn the entire Ibefun into a petrochemical hub; the like that has never been seen before in West Africa. The Mega Oil City has 30 loading gantries, residential quarters, ultramodern health centre and a 4000-truck capacity trailer park with accommodation for drivers.

The Oil City will create over 10,000 new jobs, impact over 2 million lives, improve distribution of petroleum products by over 500 percent, improve efficient delivery of products to retail markets and eliminate over 2000 tankers from Apapa road.

The Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo is expected at the event tomorrow. He will be joined by other dignitaries, including the minister of state for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, the governors of Ogun and Lagos States, Ibikunle Amosun and Akinwunmi Ambode, and the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Maikantu Baru.

I am not getting it. Where will they get the crude to refine with our current pipeline vandals trying to protect oil from leaving the ND ? I hope they strike oil in Ogun or get it from Benin Republic.
