Hmm mamas did my clinical pelvimetry today,doc have shook hand inside hubby palace ooo. Am having slight stomach tightening don't know if it's contractions ,doc is expecting baby latest first week of July ooo. Was given castor oil to drink at moderation and keep him updated.

Mama please have a rethink in the castor oil intake o. Better safe than sorry.

I will suggest u go by 36 weeks cos even small distance journey puts pressure on my pelvic I can't even sit on bike for long. And am close to 37 wks,imagine at 38wks and u will be travelling very far. U either request for the hospital bags like voucher said or u travel earlier than 38weeks. Its safer and less risky.

Maybe I'll just find a two week doctor's report/medical excuse letter and submit to my work place to enable me travel by 36 weeks. So that they won't start counting my leave from when I travel. I want my leave to start counting after delivery abeg.

You should take the leave at 36 weeks as mama Sassy said, some babies come at 37 weeks..The bags are supposed to be here with you incase you go into labor, not everyone gets to their EDD..
Won’t it be stressful traveling at 38 weeks?
Just tell DH to send you the bags, you can travel back with it if you don’t birth before then.. All the best to you

The bags suppose dey with me o mama. But DH no wan use ear hear say i wan carry bag. He said instead I'll deliver here, that I should resign and move over permanently. That was why I couldn't carry the bag again. All I did was just to pack it and keep them with him. From what I'm seeing sef he won't let me return to my work after delivery.

Please If I were you, I will plan for like 36weeks. Yes first time mum's most at times get to labour later than even EDD and if you go by 36 weeks it might seem like you're wasting your maternity leave but dear, I can't really say.
This one needs prayerful consideration. Besides that 38 week journey stress is enough to push someone to labour.
Will your husband come to take you? As in will he come and meet you where you are now to do the journey together?

I'm yet to travel mama. Planned traveling by 1st week of August before I realized it would almost be my 38weeks. So I'm having a rethink. Just pray it doesn't affect my work in any way.

I really have a little concern ooo. I reside far away from the hospital and state I intend giving birth in. My plan is to commence my leave at exactly 38weeks (2weeks to my EDD) so I can travel to the state I'll be delivering in (where hubby resides) I hope I'm not making a mistake. Because right now all my baby stuffs and all the hospital requirements that I've packed are in the state where my hubby reside. Is it possible for labor to start earlier than 38weeks for a FTM?
I really don't want to give birth here as I have no one to assist me if labour starts here.
Abeg I need una advice o.

@Starryv to add to what I earlier said since ur baby is very active use it to ur advantage try using ur palm to guide ur baby I do that at times when my baby stays in a position that's discomforts me. Most times it works BT at times she won't answer me and just remain where she dey. My baby is sensitive to touch I rub my pelvic area when I need her to come down dre as am even typing she's moving to anywhere I touch and am 35 wks +. Don't worry the baby will still stay well okay

Teamie, you don't have any problems so please stop worrying.
It's too early, baby has ample time to turn and be in the right position before birth.
Guard your mind and continue sleeping more on your left as usually advised.
Insomnia is a bit common at this stage so please don't stress it.
Baby weight,..me sef will be reading to get suggestions on that one

Some women sef at 38 weeks scan d baby is still not engage till during birth..

You pray and say baby be head down when its time..

And again about weight,i have heard some mama's saying they reject so many tns bcs they don't want baby to gain weight yet dey still birth 3.8kg 3.5kg babies..

Buh that sonographer suppose write the baby weight or atleast answer you..

Just eat right ooo,no special food to avoid or to eat at this moment,buh as they said dont eat for two..

Hello ma, baby being in an oblique lie at that moment you had the scan does not mean he is still in an oblique lie at present.. There's still enough space in the uterus for him to move around and he's still moving... I had a scan at 33 weeks that showed my baby was breech and the following week I went for antenatal with the result.. Immediately my doctor saw the result he told me to lay down for a scan, on scanning my baby was cephalic again... You are not 36 weeks or more yet so lots of n positive things can happen regarding any turning.

Also try reading about the position online but be open as he's still turning here and there

Good Morning fruitful mamas. It appears I'm suffering Insomnia but that notwithstanding I'm here to pour out my concern and get answers to my questions. Who knows if that's why sleep haff left my eye sef. #sighs.

So I went for a scan two days ago, was told by the sonographer that my baby is in Oblique position (diagonal, like the head is resting on my hip). It's not horizontal and it's not vertical. I asked about the baby size, he didn't tell me the actual baby size. I asked if he was over-weight judging by the gestational age he said "no he's not, but there's a tendency of that happening" whatever that means. I'm 31weeks gone
So my concerns are these...:
1. What can I do to aid this oblique position?
2. Is there any sleeping position recommended just for the purpose of turning the baby on time? (I'm asking this because MIL is advising I sleep on my right side, since the baby's head is on my right hip). I sha don't buy that advice.
3. How do I know if he's turning downwards or upwards?
4. What assurance do I have that my baby will be in cephalic position in 5weeks time?
5. Abeg this baby size/weight that the Sono is talking about like this, is there any food or drink I should avoid completely until delivery. And is there any particular food recommended to be taking at this point.
These and many more questions are going through my mind. Please kindly help in answering any of the questions that you have answers to.
Meanwhile my baby is very very active and moves a lot even as I type. I just hope he's moving to the right direction mbok

That's what I used for my first pregnancy and my pcv was 37 after delivery.

I use ugu very well too...not the juice though. I pack it inside my egusi, egg sauce..any food at all. You can even cook it with waterleaf as vegetable soup. Just include it in your diet...

I'll do my best to take ugu everyday. I hope there won't be any side effect or overdose. Thanks a lot mama

Only twice noo mama I took mine for like three weeks twice a week or thrice at times and I still used blood tonic and capsule.there was huge diff.hmm I stopped it and 2% left oo now am back to building it up again cos am back to 30% its so frustrating

yes ugu. It was suggested here for me too and even during antenatal. Ahh I suggest you stop using it and talk to ur doctor since there's no much difference.

my doctor gave me a drug prescription for this and it worked well so please see your doctor and have your pcv checked.
Also, drink ugwu juice frequently. It gives enough blood. Wash thoroughly and squeeze out the juice and drink. Sorry mama

Mama Layormiii you suggested this same Ugwu for me last week. I did o but what I don't know now is if I used the right leaf. Did you mean to say Ugu? (Pumpkin leaf/vegetable) or are you talking about a different leaf. Please clarify me ma because I drank the ugu juice but haven't recorded any much difference.

Happy new month once again mama's wishing us all the best of this new month.

Thank God for seeing us through to this point, I know it's not that easy as the weight is now being felt . Most of us have entered third trimester this week, it's time to start completing our baby shopping, hospital lists and other things we need to do. No time again o, time to tidy up. In just two short months we will carry our joyful bundles.

If you've not taken maternity shots, this is the best period to do it, now the bump is big enough but still cute enough for pics and for those of us that pregnancy turns dark, please don't wait till 9months o .
