This conversation coming up again from IMF/ World Bank/ Managers of Nigerian economy. Hmmmmm. My submissions is that the reason why China will continues to be great and great is becos the country called China will always do the exact opposite the Economic capsule or prescription coming from IMF while that Africa largest black called Nigeria will forever be doomed for always swallowing this economic pills from them including S.A.P. When are we going to develop our own grown economic model. Or why do we have Economic course being taken in our university or The schools are Mushroom. Abeg |
Joystark:I need learn learn as well. |
How do u expect a man with limited resources to cater adequately for the needs of his 36 Children comfortable and compare with another man with equal resources and just 6 to 8 Children. Definitely the latter will achieved most of its planned objectives and equally saved for the rainy day in the care of his children. This is the closest analagy of The Nigeria public varsity. What are we doing with more than 40 universities.? Can't we prune it down to 6 or at best 8 for efficient administration. Except we have decided to be competing with ourselves and not with the rest of the world. Govt Lamentations will not stop. Thinking upside down Govt.,. |
The Government silly mistake on Education policy in Nigeria::: Why do we build mushroom public institutions all over the places that are just glorified dump- sites. A university that cannot accommodate between 50k to 100k students and provide them with modern classroom and hostel facilities ( classical 21 Century architectural master piece) should boldly cover their eyes in shame. Am strictly bashing our nefarious dump site public varsity. Why can't we, the opportunist in Govt., enhance the capacity of the 6 Foremost public varsity in the 6 geo Zones and provided them with all the resources they needed to compete globally with the likes of South African peers and Egyptian university. So that they can accommodate between 500k students at a time and we enlarge the facilities. And this automatically drive down the cost of public institutions and make it competitive in itself. check this out::: Cairo University is Egypt's premier public university. Its main campus ... The University currently enrolls approximately 155,000 students in 22 faculties. Students: 280,000 Former names: Egyptian University; Fuad I University Campus: Urban Administrative staff: 12,158 Tell me which Nigeria university can beat that. As at 2012 Statistics , Unilag operates 40k students population. |
AutoJoshNG:I now know why The thread that says Kenya was greater than Nigeria was created. |
UrbanExotica:Thank u ma'am We gonna put up a good show next time u see us. And ur list will see implementation. |
IvarTheTerrible:Thanks well taken. |
IvarTheTerrible:Mr Thinker man . Good points. Well articulated. Before preaching nonsensical idealism and shoving it down our throat. Can you also correlate while this your beautiful idealism is hindered when there is no parity between dollars and Naira and pounds. As at last check 1 Pound: will fetch u how many naira 1 Dollar: will fetch you 350 naira. I will support this your idealism if the Government who deliberately turn the masses to pauper thorough incompetent economic policies throughout the years and decades past can restore the strength of the naira to something like 1 dollar to Ten naira. I conclude that there is a positive correlation between the strength of the economic power of a country and the strength of their University education. U cannot destroy our economy by your incompetence and turn around to blame us that the only way to receive Qualitative education is by paying what Cambridge or Oxford offers. |

Beautiful tiles. Beautiful laid toilet. Yet those infrastructure were pushed to ruin . This is typical of many Nigerian students carrying out their gutter mentality to destroy toilet infrastructure in skool. Way forward::: Nigerian university system should employ facilities manager to manage skool toilet facilities as a way to avoid early decay but I must warn this will also come with consequence that cannot be predicted but will go a long way to put this structure in shape for the test of time. facilities manager will also create unskilled job for the teeming youth. |
