Ogbeche77: that's our skills acquisition centre, depends on the group you join, you have to locate the block where you belong, I purposely joined the catering and interior decoration group cos I have access to eat pastries and the hall is air conditioned.. lol
Hehe, nice one..I also joined catering too oo, but ours was done outside in the scorching sun..kai! Made me hate skill acquisition then.

Katsina camp is really fine I must say . Other governors should try and build a decent camp for corp members.

Kwara in particular is a jungle. most of the pictures my friend took there were in a forest. I had to ask if there was any building in that camp.
NYSCRe: Which State Has The Best Nysc Camp? by StateOfMind: 8:43pm On Feb 21, 2013
Wow! Katsina camp is beautiful..

@ogbeche, the room-like pic is where pls?
NYSCRe: Which State Has The Best Nysc Camp? by StateOfMind: 8:28pm On Feb 21, 2013
ehispapa: those pics are shit compare to ede camp in Osun State. believe me, we sleep on that road at nite note to mention the hostle where i have about three Bed to myself and all the functional facilities
I don't remember saying its the best. Mallam sidi is the the only camp I have been to na, so how I'm I supposed to compare to other 35camps?

I'm aware osun, nasarawa, katsina and ogun have good camps too cos i have friends that served there.

And if you've been to kwara, oyo and sokoto camps, mallam sidi is definitely paradise beside them.

Oh, and and by the way no be by tarred roads oo..neatness, regular electricity and water are what makes a camp good to me. I'm sure mallam sidi will make top 10 good camps sha.
NYSCRe: Which State Has The Best Nysc Camp? by StateOfMind: 8:18pm On Feb 21, 2013
LOL..I think it was built in 2010..

When I was shown the former camp which is situated directly opposite this new one, I thanked my stars for not serving then, lol

.
chreld_b: between the years of 2006-2008 mallam sidi was indisputably the worst NYSC camp. These pictures are shocking. shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
NYSCRe: Which State Has The Best Nysc Camp? by StateOfMind: 6:39pm On Feb 21, 2013
adiosgracias: the best Nysc orientation camp is Mallam Sidi Camp in Gombe State. though i was posted to a yet to b developed local government called SHONGOM , i enjoyed services in shongom. tnx to d People of Karel, LAPAN nd Boh. dis is d two star general
Mallam sidi aint bad at all. The comfort of that camp was the only thing that kept me sane throughout my stay.

omo_to_dun: Aunty rokiatu, I know it is hard to call a baby ugly. But let's call a spade a spade. If my child looks like that, I will certainly love her. I have no choice; however, if I had the choice, she wouldn't look that way. And I am sure that no one on this forum would want their baby to be this "cute."
You are really cracking me up here with your commentS on this 'cute' baby.lol

Nairaland GeneralRe: hohoho!!kwanu? by StateOfMind: 9:58am On Feb 19, 2013
This welcome of a thing sounds funny sef..LOL

I don't remember breathing, sixteen, guiter welcoming me, cos they are the three active diarylanders I met on board. Molly n I started the same day, I think.

I don't remember me welcoming rotmyt, finegal, alos, gentie n sapphire and heads dint roll- that only means one thing--looking for trouble at all cost.

Welcome or no welcome, no one owns this section\forum. I don't know how hard 'do your own thing is' if not cos you just want to seek trouble.

A good number of peeps don't visit the chatroom neither to they even care to know if other diaries exist, they just do their thing and move on. Shikena!

Nairaland GeneralRe: hohoho!!kwanu? by StateOfMind: 8:56am On Feb 19, 2013
Lmao @ being disvirgined!

U sef get time ehn, when you know the never-tired set of people you were up against.

The whole of diaryland has been disvirgined anyway. Gone are those days of just mentions. The love was genuine and the atmosphere very calm. Most diarylanders are hardly ever seen in other sections and thats because they love it peaceful. Now that the peace is gone, you hardly see them around. That, plus the fact that they've all gotten busy. Sixteen, farydah, finegal, molly, creme, alecia, sapphire, gentie, rotmyt... N even my one n only guitar. Lol. I even wonder where calloti is.

We were so used to each other's way of writing and thinking and one couldn't take away the maturity in handling disagreements. Cos yeah, I remb some little disagreements then.

RIP diaryland, nothing lasts forever.

FamilyRe: How Does A Young Couple Deal With A Dying Child? by StateOfMind: 1:51pm On Feb 16, 2013
aniffy4eva: I believe miracles happen, but just in case it's the child's time to go.. let me share our experience when we lost our daughter.

She was our first child.
Although hard to bear, i remember being advised to be there for my wife. I remember i would excuse myself for brief moments, lock myself in my car (or the bathroom) and cry my eyeballs out. Wipe my face and then come out to be the strong one for her.

After the funeral, my wife went to spend some time with her mom, away from the oohs*, aahs* and sorrys* of people. After a while, the sympathies/comments really get nauseating. We then went on a vacation and i continued to reassure her that everything would be alright. In retrospect, i don't think she ever saw me cry.... But i wept.. God knows how many times i wept. To be honest, time does heal all wounds... but the scars still remain. Funny enough, the experience forged an even greater bond between us.

Ask your friend to always remember.."This too shall pass"... This is not the time to think about himself, he should remember that his wife and child need him more. Emotional outbursts from his wife are to be expected and also she'll ask him some tough questions about life, God etc... He should take it in stride and i pray God grants him the wisdom to see this through.

However, if a miracle occurs and his child gets well... He should never forget this experience and always remember how valuable his family is to him.
BTW we've been blessed with another child and he's a bundle of joy smiley
This post just made me teary...

God bless your family.
