Negro_Ntns: LOL, you must be blind. Even in the states, in places like houston where many igbos live, we are known to be tall, muscular men. White americans beg igbo parents to have their sons play sports at local high schools and universities. They pass up on yorubas everyday and see yall as weaklings. This is something that a white man told me and I was shocked when he said it. I even tried to stick up for you people against his comments because I don't accept a white man saying anything against black people in general. Here is the number 1 American football player in the country, Igbo boy: http://blogs.ajc.com/recruiting/2012/02/07/robert-nkemdiche-the-circus-begins-for-the-nations-no-1-overall-prospect/ At 17, he is 6 foot 5 inch and 270 pounds, fast and strong. |

I agree with OP. Let Ikwerre be what they want to be. We will gladly support them in their decision to live in the niger delta republic with the ijaw. We will move on to biafra without them. |
Culture / Re: Why Do Ikwerre Igbos Reject Their Igbo Identity? by stayreal: 7:09am On Feb 09, 2012 |
I know some ikwerre people and some don't know why they feel that way. Some say they are igbo, some say they are ikwerre. It would be like someone from Nkwerre, Imo state saying he is no longer igbo. It would make no sense. Every town has their own dialect. Only Ndigbo on this board will understand this example. Before the war, ikwerre did not deny their igbo ties. The names that they carry do not lie on their identity even until today. The abandoned property issue and the fear of marginalization after the civil war made them deny their igboness. People must remember that ikwerre is very small group when compared to ijaw and other groups. Their move to deny their igboness after the war was a political strategy, because they have no numerical strength. Some igbos today drive by property that they or their fathers once owned but lost due to "abandoned property." I can tell you that no igbo man can brag about having something he has never worked for without being shamed by his own people. We take pride in building something from our own hands. The acceptance of abandoned property was the beginning of laziness for many groups. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Kunle Adegoke Apologizes To Ndigbo For Internet Statement by stayreal: 6:43am On Feb 08, 2012 |
This is how many of them feel about Ndigbo. What he said is what we have heard among many yorubas on this board. We shouldn't be shocked that this rhetoric is not confined to just NL. Before someone commits acts of hate (pogroms, massacres, genocide) against a group of people, the rhetoric (both written and spoken) must come before it. I don't know why these people cannot let us go our separate ways and disintegrate this union. Nigeria is like a man with many wives, in which some are neglected, abused and beaten but the husband keeps begging them to stay. We Ndigbo have filed the papers for divorce and are awaiting on the dissolution of this marriage with "one Naijerya." |

dayokanu: This is coming from a people who were enslaved by the fulani and forced to covert to islam. Who is the real coward? If yoroobas were in our shoes at that time you all would be muslims today, cowardly people. If given 20 pounds, you people would sell us your villages just as you continue to sell lagos to us. Baboon looking bastards! |
Politics / Re: If The South East Governors Wants Igbos Back, They Should Build Us A Sea Port by stayreal: 5:52am On Feb 06, 2012 |
If the East can get a real international airport and seaport, there would be nothing we couldn't accomplish even in "one Nigeria." The building of a sea port and international airport are federal projects in every country. Making the state do it, makes it very hard because you are talking about international flights and business that will be conducted through these places. States should not be dealing alone in such areas. Any city/region in the world that is successful in business has an real international airport and/or seaport. If these are created, people will see more Igbos relocated back East. Then we can start conferation and eventually breakaway from Nigeria. |

Negro_Ntns: Have you talked to these igbos to ask if they are "osu"? Many igbos are not practicing this belief anymore. I have many relatives that live in Lagos and are doing well. Real movers and shakers in lagos. So to assume that all or the majority of Igbos are "osu" in Lagos is stupid. When Christmasn comes we know that the majority of Igbos go back East? This is a fact that cannot be disputed. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Are Yorubas Waiting For Northerners To Attack Them Before Agitating For Secession? by stayreal: 11:46pm On Feb 04, 2012 |
I know for certain that many yorubas have been killed in riots in Jos, northern Nigeria and during the election violence when NYSCs were kiled. I think that yorubas prefer other groups to voice their displeasure with these events to keep the yoruba away from the forefront of these issues. It is almost as if they are invisible when such things happen. |

Politics / Re: Us Did Not Predict Nigeria’s Break-up In 2015 – Ambassador Mcculley by stayreal: 8:29pm On Feb 03, 2012 |
Who created Nigeria? Is it not the British? Why do some you love Nigeria so much? A country that gives you nothing in return. I pity some of you people that love suffering rather than peace. The North has had control of the country for decades and they have nothing to show for it but aljimiris and boko harem. With all the money they looted, where is their education system and jobs for their people? Look at the poverty they face. The only place in the world where polio is still common. They are backwards. They have nothing to blame but themselves. If the East was allowed to loot as long as the years the North had power. The East would look like Dubai. There would not be one thing we would lack. NIGERIA IS A FAILED STATE, NO MATTER WHAT A STUPID WHITE MAN IN THE US SAYS. WE NEED TO BREAK UP! |

Travel / Re: 100,000 Nigerians Applied For Us Visas In 2011 by stayreal: 9:35am On Feb 02, 2012 |
That is a very small number but than again most Nigerians don't have relatives in the states. Many of my relatives have been giving Visas over the past few years to the US and Canada. All my cousins have now graduated from universities in the states and are living a very comfortable life. |
Politics / Re: Dr. Akanu Ibiam: The Soul Of The Biafra Nation by stayreal: 7:52am On Feb 02, 2012 |
This should be circulated to every Biafran son and daughter! All this talk against Biafra, but when I tell non-Nigerians, whether they be black american, white or asian to read about the history of Nigeria and Biafra. They all SAY THE SAME THING, THAT BIAFRA SHOULD BE A COUNTRY. They all say that they will support Biafra, NOT ONE has said othereise. You know what the most shocking thing to them when they read about it. That during the COLD WAR on that USSR (SOVIET UNION) and UK were on the same side. The US remained silent supporter and everybody knows that whatever the UK does the US is in agreement with and vice versa. But we will hold our heads high, those that died will never be forgotten. Some of the truest words ever spoken by a great man. |
Family / Re: Is Marriage Worth It For Guys? by stayreal: 9:43am On Feb 01, 2012 |
Marriage has become a scam in the states. For many men, getting married is one of the biggest mistakes they have ever made in their life. Men are crippled financially in many instances after marriage and treated as criminals if they cannot afford to pay child support and in some cases alimony. 2 Likes |

obowunmi: Americans are there to make their millions and bring it back to the states and enjoy life. Many have no idea how the western world is getting rich off of oil in the delta. Why would a white man leave his life of comfort and family to come to Naijerya? He is not there to be a humitarian. |
