Precious4real50: Useless governors everywhere when other governors was busy locking down their state to avoid mass infections this useless one was waiting for confirm cases before he do the needful, now he don get his wish by having two cases well the state is useless to Nigeria economy.
I still remain Ada ogwashi Any right thinking person who reads your comment will be tempted to insult you but my sis Ada, that would turn such a fellow into the 'monster' S/he is trying to correct. Apparently, your comment lacked the benefit of intellect. However, here are some points you need to know. 1. The state had been on lockdown for close to 2weeks 2. The case of COVID19 in the state was a result of CONSPIRACY, LIES AND SECRECY 3. Offa is a small town in the state where the patients were linked to, thus the TOTAL lockdown in Offa. 4. Please, make use of the lockdown in the country, spend less time on internet and read more books...that will guarantee intelligent comments from you. If you will spent time on internet, use GOOGLE a lot...fill that head. |

And to think that the police and the media have been making it look like people are not obeying the stay at home.
Another way to score cheap. In case it finally blows up...the innocent people will now be blamed for 'allowing' the virus get into the state. Can you imagine that!
The honourable thing is for the government to go public, apologise to the people for endangering their lives. Yes, i said the people because, while the 'arguments' were going on whether the patient was a covid19 victim or not, they made everybody believe all was normal.
Now, imagine how many people,(especially those who attended the burial, which we know are mostly the 'oipoloi'), have been going about with a false sense of safety, freely distributing the virus.
Imagine those who had a close contact with that woman in the name of 'condolence' visit...and you know how such closeness can be in Africa...
What about the nurses and doctors who were exposed to that virus? They obviously went home 'after the day's work' and their family members joyfully welcomed them back... Such wickedness from those who hide it and are still trying frantically to hide it. People have no conscience!
We shouldn't forget the man who drove the ambulance with a covid19 corpse while believing the man died of food poisoning. After all, that was what the 'Oga' made him believe.
The good Muslims who prepared the body for a good Muslim burial...who washed the body according to Islamic rite. Some probably, while performing the rite, must have wiped sweat off their face trying to dry it from the effect of the scorching heat.
Imagine if this had not been exposed or that the reporters had succumbed to the bullies who tried to silence them...it would have been a free for all distribution of virus in Kwara state. Man inhumanity to man. I wonder how such people sleep at night!
The government must bring the said professor and the MD of that hospital to face the music! Those are mean humans who have used their exalted positions to endanger many people and ruin the state as a whole.
If this were to be an advanced country, those mean humans should be 'quarantined' behind bars now with their faculties withdrawn...they never deserved it in the first place.
I urge the state governor to see that this case don't tarnish the name and trust he had earned from the people.
However, the government is not completely free from the blame. Infact, the government failed the people woefully.
It was said that the victim was rushed to the specialist hospital at Sobi, which was supposed to be the 'isolation' centre,(at least, people were made to believe), but it was under lock.
The next option was the teaching hospital and no one can blame the family for that. If the isolation centre was opened, it would have been a different story. Now, see what bureaucracy has caused.
As the Pronouncement of a lockdown was made, the people of the state were deafened by shouts of 'the state government is ready!’ over the media but unknown to the people of the state, it was 'AUDIO.'
The people deserve an unreserved apology for the recklessness of all the parties involved in this. I beg the governor not to let this be swept under the carpets. The people believe in his integrity and are watching to see how it goes. |

Kylekent59:

These pictures of yours are marvellous. Explore is one of the man I respect so much on Nairaland. His post are educative, simple, well analyse, and most important back up with pictures of different view.
Nice one.
Now I wanna comment based on what I have seen.
The Nigerian style says a lot about our country. If you observe the second pic ( The one Nigerian police men are monitoring a church) , you will find out that we are not ready in this country. The should lead and control by showing examples like wearing a mask, putting on hand gloves,..etc. It is a good thing they maintain a distance of 1 meter.
How could they carry out the monitoring without using protective materials like; hand gloves, nose mask, hand sanitizers, B bags... etc.
If one person has it in that limited space and coughs in the air, then they all are at a very big risk of contracting the virus.
Observe the other ones, like the Ghanaians. See how coordinated they are; by putting on their mask, wearing their hand gloves, and also in B bags - in the third, fourth and fifth pics to be precise
These people are more coordinated than us.
We use paint to shape a square on the ground so as to ensure social distance, but over there, they use circular foot-mats with labels - in the sixth and seventh pic compared to the 12th pic to be precise
It is now clear that an oil producing country[Nigeria] doesn't have what it take to tackle Corona virus. Our leaders have bastardized the country.
Let us learn from that supermarket : in the first pic.
We can fight this virus with the little things we have. The greatest thing we have now is our "brains "
We don't have to wait for our failed governments to come and fight it for us.
If you own a nose mask, start putting it on as from today. Forget and don't give a am about what people say.
When you pass by and they chant, '' corona corolla,'' don't mind them, but tell them you are passing a message.
Finally, I don't even want to criticise because I know the country I am in. In one of the pictures explorer uploaded, I see a hand sanitizer glued to a tree, that's very good, but I think that can't work in Nigeria - in the 15th pic to be precise
When you do such, be ready to see it stolen when you look the other way after you might have tied it to a tree.
I just hope and pray we all combat this virus and take the decision on social distance very seriously.
Good a.m to you all. You said it all... Unfortunately, the understanding of an average Nigerian police on 'PROTECTION' is carrying gun. Just to go and disperse armless worshippers, they did not take any precaution but were comfortable with carrying gun. |

He said I can always come to check the kids, girl 5 years, boy 1 year 3 months.
He didn't talk about assets sharing.
He has a landed property and started work on it but not yet completed yet. I invested almost 500k into the laundry business he has.... Bought Gen, geepee tank washing machine.... Irons, shop rent etc.
But he is asking me to leave just like that... If not he will cause a scene....
How do I go about this? Get a good lawyer ASAP. However, make sure it is properly reported, especially that 'cause a scene' part. |

As far as i am concerned, the FG brought this calamity upon Nigeria.
I wonder why the FG refused to take action from the first confirmation. Our borders were closed to 'economy' but wide opened to 'corona.'.
They waited until more carriers entered Nigeria. Now they are 'proactive' when the case has gone beyond Lagos to as far as katsina.

Medicine after death. The government should have closed down the border and banned travellers from infected countries from the first time the virus was confirmed in Nigeria. But No! They waited until packs was sent into Nigeria to take action.
As far as i'm concerned, the Nigeria government brought this tragedy to us.
