RabbiDoracle:
Just 1 week of closure in 9ja and you are saying all these will happen grin grin.

This is my 4th week on lockdown. Yet market dey trade well here.

Definitely an extended lockdown will affect business in Nigeria. But I don't think 9ja will lockdown for 4 weeks. A longer period of lockdown will lead to serious hunger and breakdown on societal security.
Oga Oracle...

I dey hear another 2weeks extension and more States would be included. Most likely to be announced this night or tomorrow morning.

Not confirmed yet!

OBAGADAFFI:
Lockdown might be extended .

Cash is the king.
I have been saying it since last week. If you are yet to enter the market. Keep your CASH.

Things will get worst before normalcy returns. NSE is worst as CBN won't inject a penny. This is not FED!

The Govt is even recalling money from IMF...tells you the Govt is struggling with cash.

Next earning season is March 2021...tomorrow you see same people shouting, had I known!
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stcool(m): 9:26pm On Apr 11, 2020
Q1 and Q2 results will be bad...stop hoping!

Even the banks will take a hit...most loans will default. Especially petroleum marketers and other manufacturers that are sitting on huge loans and businesses are yet to restart

I don't see much profit coming from Coy on the NSE for 2020. With Lockdown extension things could kick start in Q3-Q4

Hopefully Q4.

FED doing the Lords work grin

Fed maintains it wants a weaker $ to stimulate recovery.

But people keep buying $ worldwide.

Well you can't beat FED... grin grin grin

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stcool(m): 1:51pm On Apr 07, 2020
I would advise any one yet to enter the market to keep their money.
Hold Cash if you did not buy when market when down.

After result and dividend payment, the market will go down seriously... Q1 and Q2 2020 results will not be nice and NSE will go down to record lows.

Next earning season is March 2021...a lot can happen.

Don't come with had I known. Retain CASH!

*CBN does not have QE... NSE is OYO!

Nothing is hidden under the sun... We should be praying for the world now.
USA has more cases in the whole world.
China & US in a long trade battle... China releases a Virus

Russia disagrees with OPEC, Saudi cuts price and increases production, Oil price plunge!

People are dying from the Virus, Financial markets is in turmoil

They should continue acting their script. My prayer is that the poor masses not be caught in the crossfire!

So I am reading a thread on Twitter, this whole COVID-19 is an attack by China on US.

I strongly believe... And China would pay! The world should force China to release the antidote. They have it!

Interesting read:

Many whom were already inside want stock to skyrocket, but when waiting at their various junction, they want stock price to come down grin grin
Suddenly they don't want it to go below their entry point. What a sudden change in mind? While some group still needed it at their various junction.
I want Zenith @N5.00 more than you do grin I am only stating the obvious with regards FED approach and the US Equity market.

The NSE has its own peculiarities, falling Oil price has its own drag, however I also know that once FED start Open-End QE cheap $ finds its way around the world.

Zenith @N5.00...I will empty myself & all savings inside it.

If I perish...I perish! grin
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stcool(m): 7:32am On Mar 24, 2020
So as the FED opened the flood gates of QE...$ has been falling since yesterday. Which is the aim, a weak $ will help the recovery process

They remain the most powerful Central bank in the world. ECB & BOJ gives way once FED wants a weak $

Once this virus is sorted the bullish run will be record breaking.

The question is how soon?

As Oga Oracle stated the issue now is not the money Central banks are pumping to stabilize the economy...

It is the fact that a world recession is inevitable at this point. Only yesterday the NYSE has erased all gains made during the Trump election.

The only thing Trump was using to brag grin

If the cases in the US can peak followed my Europe then we have some recovery,

Else...

Ekiti has done it...

"The American who took the Coronavirus to Ekiti had spent 2weeks in Ibadan with his friend and driver. The American died in Ekiti 72 hours after their arrival, the driver tested positive but the friend a female is negative!"

2 weeks in Ibadan... Finally dies in Ekiti, may be the Man lodged in a hotel in Ibadan.

Haba Oga! That statement dey one kind! Kilode? huh Literally, it might mean nothing to you, but connotatively it means a lot to we Christians on this platform. And I know deep down you know... It was just totally unnecessary in the context you used it esp in rightly predicting procedural steps, policy makers/govt naturally follow when mkt is seriously tanking. It's just check-list-esque! Same used during 2008 liquidity crisis - TRAP stimulus package, Short-selling ban, money printing, asset-buyback etc, then inflation sets in, back to square one.

That's not the point though! Let's just be sensitive to other people's feelings, way of life etc (even if you don't approve of it) and where we need to show restraint when spewing words, let's us show it. Though faceless platform, but still a community with followership.

As our in-house Pastor said (though surprised by his levity re. his reaction), that statement has pride written all over it, but I'm hoping I am proved wrong. Really hoping! Regardless...

It is still cheap...the closing period prohibits the directors from trading in the shares of the company.

I am less concerned about dividend. My interest is a buyout, Merger with Dangote or anything similar grin
