The same Wiggins that was an all-star that year is the person someone is trying to pass across as a bum. Lol. Una go dey alright. I no even get una time. Emotional bunch. Engage them in a conversation and it will be as though you're arguing with todlers. Na why I dey avoid una like covid |
Skrrrrrrr:Goat. Whenever you people just hear Steph getting criticised, you forget your brain and rush to defend him. If I tell you that Steph didn't face any adversary on his way to the finals last year, you'd say I'm hating. Dallas, Grizzlies and Denver is not enough opposition if you look at it critically. Jokic was all alone, Ja was all alone, Luka was all alone. And then when you get to the finals to play Tatum and Brown, good team but there's a reason I call Brown and Tatum two second options masquerading as a big 2. And Steph has won 4 rings but has only 1 FMVP. What does that tell you? Don't tell me he played well in all those finals or playoff series. That's not enough. Any good player can play well. Did he will his team to those rings? |
birdman:You keep bringing up Lillard. Are you saying a paring of Lillard and Embiid for example won't go all the way? Until he requests to be traded or the FO brings someone in (which might never happe), we just have to accept that his chances of success are limited. |
Embiid Jokic Giannis Tatum Fox Steph Harden LeBron AD Kyrie Luka Booker Butler SGA Brown Brunson Randle Sabonis Mitchell Ja Bam Ingram KD Haliburton Markennen Trae Dame JJJ Jrue Ant Man PG Kawhi Klay Siakam Each of these guys will feel agreived if they're left out of All-NBA teams this season. Some won't make it because of the limited amount of games they played, but all of them played at an All-NBA level. |
benji93:And I'm telling you it includes Steph Don't worry about LeBron, his legacy is set in stone already. He's the GOAT ![]() |
birdman:Trae has achieved more in his first 4 years than Curry did in hjs first 4 years. What are you now complaining about? Does Trae have an all time great shooter or a top 3 scorer of all time or an all time great defensive player for him to go and win a championship like Curry? The answer is NO |
The way our resident apuruka analyst sites threes for the reason guys are scoring much, one would think MJ and Oscar and Wilt and all those high scoring dudes took 10 threes a game in their days. Or maybe he's saying that being a better 3 point shooter is a disadvantage. Maybe Giannis too averaged 30 because of his 3point prowess Lazy analysis. And like going to the FT line is supposed to be a knock on Tatum's game . Or perhaps there's a question mark on MJ's greatness because he went to the FT line 8 times too. Lol |
benji93:Yea. Steph too is scoring this much because of the freedom given him. Which puts a question mark on his greatness. I ain't taking any revisionist argument from you bro. |
The great Celtics have existed for over 70 years. And you want to tell me this isn't the most talented era in basketball? Sit this one out bro. You have no case.
|
Khanben:Dame is not even as big as Steph. He's 6 feet. But he plays more PG than Steph. Steph is 6"3'. |
birdman:How can you compare Trae to all-time greats like Curry and KD. Trae will probably never be a no. 1 option. We haven't seen him alongside a great big or wing for us to judge him. And besides, he's an unathletic 6 ft guard and so there's a limit to what he can do on the court. But I like him for just mere controlling an offense and getting others into play. His scoring is just a secondary attribute. But having said that, he'll still give you 25 a night. |
Steph fanboys having a meltdown in the comments. Jus call their boy a shooting guard and all hell breaks loose ![]()
|
birdman:What do you mean exactly? Is Damian Lillard a bust or is he playing below his talent level? |
birdman:It will be Clippers vs Suns finally. Except the Clippers are foolish enough to want 7th place instead. |
Our 3 point spammer will lead the league in total assists for the second year running.
|
So this is the West standings as of today. The Clippers have 2 games left while the Lakers and Warriors both have one game. The Clippers are in an advantageous situation, in that they can decide who they play in the 1st round. Win both their games and they get the 5th seed and play the Suns. Lose one and they get the 6th seed and play the Kings. The Warriors don't have that luxury because they could fall to the play-in if they tank their last game. My best guess is the Clippers win their next game which is against Portland, and tank their final game against Phoenix. UPDATE The Clippers would have to win out their games if they want to finish top 6. This is due to the Pelicans having the tiebreaker over the Clippers. If the Clippers, Lakers and Pels all finish with the same record, the Pels automatically move to 6th because they have the best conference record among the three, even though they don't have the tie breaker over the Lakers. So it would be Pels at 6, Clippers at 7 and Lakers at 8. So it's 5th or 7th for the Clippers.

I expect the Suns to play their full squad on Friday and try to beat the Lakers in a game that doesn't matter to them ![]() |
As usual, the Clippers are pumped up for their annual NBA Finals game against the Lakers ![]() |
steady986:Kelly Olynik and Damian Jones were a combined 7/7 from 3 tonight. Man I'm done watching basketball. Wtf ![]() |
LeBron brings us home |
Nobody in the entire league gets doubles more than AD. But why are the Jazz doubling though? I thought they were tanking ![]() |
What is with these teams and playing the Lakers? Everybody ups their game when they play the Lakers. No other team in the NBA receives this type of treatment. Look at Sexton, he basically came straight from the emergency room to make the game tonight. |
It's not long ago someone here was comparing AD to Bam, abi na Siakam Those were scary times. And the same person wants to tell us to give AD more praise. O wrong now. |
I believe there's not much else to say about AD. He's that guy. But look at Bridges. I think we'll be hearing more from him in this league
|
Maybe this man doesn't know that I call AD the best big man in the league when healthy. You won't find a bigger AD fan than me, so just calm your tits ![]() |
birdman:This particular season there was no Capela and Dwight played 41 games. And seriously, Ariza was just a decent role player. |
We have to give credit to Harden for leading this sorry team to 56 wins
|
Warriors fans are an awkward bunch. This is them celebrating the apparent AD injury tonight on Twitter Spaces. They're always up in our business. The other day they were celebrating the Lakers not getting Kyrie like they just won the championship. Just listen to a random Twitter Spaces on a random day and it's the Lakers they're talking about. We live rent free in their heads.
|
The way AD cooked KAT tonight though. Man made sure he recognized he was a No. 1 pick before him ![]() |
The talent level in the NBA today is unreal. Just insane. I've never seen anything like this before. Mikal Bridges is slowly turning himself into a star in this league. And he's only on 22m/yr for the next 3 years. He's having the same trajectory as Kawhi. Started out as a defensive stalwart but is slowly sharpening his offensive game. |
AD hurt his foot. It's over

. Na me and you. But why would you deliberately miss the key argument you made? Your argument was that this batch is more talented. And I insist they aren't based on the scoring metric alone. No dey forget previous arguments as you dey formulate new ones.

Those were scary times. And the same person wants to tell us to give AD more praise. O wrong now.
