No more basketball today. Till tomorrow. Any other game will just be an anticlimax ![]() |
Close one there. What a series. |
This game is all about runs. Kings make a run, then GS replies with their own run. Rinse and repeat. |
Khanben:He could get 12-15m on a conteder, or 20m in a small market |
Khanben:I'm borrowing the words of some of our analysts here . Maybe that was reaching. But my point is, when you really expect him to have a foothold on a game, he defers. I'm not mad though. Age is catching up on him. |
Honlucas:I hope so, because Memphis is coming back with a vengeance. I can feel it with the way they played the last 3 quarters of this game. |
And for LeBron, it's safe to say he's old. He doesn't impact the game as he used to. He scores points but more often than not you can't really feel the impact of those points. The efficiency has gone down mostly because he's taking too many threes. The IQ is there and the mind is willing but the body is letting him down. Look at the open dunk he missed today. He's also missing layups. For us to have any chance in this series or the rest of the playoffs, AD has to be our best player. You could see in game 2 that just a little more production on the offensive end and we could have won that game. |
Man Menphis are a scary opposition. They just keep coming at you. If not for our good start this game would have ended in tears for us. Even an unfit Ja is dropping 45 on our head, talk more of a fit one. I hope we play better in game 4 if not it's 2-2 and back to Memphis. |
CP3!!! |
So the Celtics made 21 threes tonight. They were +18 on points from threes, plus they shot the same amount of FTs as the Hawks and missed just 2 more than them. And they still lost. I'd be worried if I were the Celtics. |
They really waited for Bron to be 38 before they talked trash about him ![]()
|
E be like say na home cooking across the board in this playoffs. Make e no stop when e reach my turn o ![]() And why are the Warriors crowd booing Sabonis on every touch of the ball? He wasn't the one who tried to smash someone's ribcage ![]() |
20 three point attempts in 1st quarter ![]() |
Kawhi out for Game 3. Load management in the mud. |
birdman:And this is without Giannis o. No one wants to go 2-0 down and then go on the road. That basically means the series is over. Suns, Grizzlies and now Bucks have ground out a win to avoid being in that situation. |
birdman:Yea Memphis is for real. There's a reason the Lakers were only a +1 favourite with Ja missing. |
E be like say we go carry our one win dey go back LA. Because the refereeing has been shocking so far. Shocking. And it doesn't look like it'll change. |
Interesting
|
Once upon a time in the finals of the most competitive era in the NBA
|
Westbrook is just funny. Takes a pull up jumper and misses. Next play he drives to the basket and also misses And the funny thing is none of his teammates touched the ball on both plays |
Kawhi is playing some nice basketball these playoffs. On both ends of the floor. |
Huge bounce back game by Sabonis tonight |
That should be an ejection for Green |
Jaren Jackson Jr. is the Defensive Player of the Year!!! |
Charles Barkley though. And it's only game one of the plsyoffs ![]()

benji93:Continue your agenda. I have your screenshots |
Man the amount of key injuries we've recorded so far is not good. Giannis, Ja and Herro all injured. AD had his own scare too. And it's just game 1. |
This series no go easy for Suns as people think am o. There's something about having a team that has been together for quite some time. And we were right to question the depth of the Suns. The Suns bench combined for 10 points in this game. I don't care how good your starting 5 is, that won't win you games. But this is just game one sha. Make I no too over analyse. Teams will adjust. I expect the Suns to take game 2 or else it would be a very short series. |
benji93:I'm talking about who was the underdog at the start of the series with both teams healthy. We all agreed it was the Lakers, but because of agenda some people want to twist the narrative. |
birdman:Yea. When your role players win you a game like this, you can't get too confident, because it might not happen again. Rui won't go 5/6 from 3 again I can bet you that. Yea Bron and AD played well, bar the TOs from Bron. And I liked the weak side blocks. But he wasn't aggressive offensively. I guess this is the mythical feel-out game that Bron always does. But AD man, he was huge on the defensive end. The only time JJJ saw chance was when AD was not in the game. JJJ ate Bron and Vando alive in the paint ![]() |
Khanben:That's the thing. I'm just happy to win this game because I know it only gets tougher from here. Memphis is a very good team, and they have been together basically since Ja entered the league. The Lakers on the other hand just formed this team and they've barely played together due to injuries to Bron and DLo. I can't get too cocky |
A team that has two all-stars in Ja and JJJ who also doubles as the leading shot blocker in the league and who would probably win DPOY. Plus Luke Kennard who is shooting an unbelievable 49% from 3 this season. Plus Tyus Jones that they almost unanimously call the best backup PG in the league. In all of this I have not even mentioned Bane and Dillon Brooks. If no be crase dey worry you. |
