For those who do not know, NYSC is a one year compulsory scheme every Nigerian graduate has to undergo in order to qualify for the Labour market.

NYSC(National Youth Sevice Corps) was originally designed to bring unity among the diverse cultures and tribes in Nigeria. It was introduced by Yakubu Gowon after the Nigerian Civil War. But over time, the scheme seems to be more of ‘ctching fun’ than actual service to the country.

Australians have voted in favour of legalising same-sex marriage in a landmark poll.

More than 12million voters turned out with 61per cent in favour of legalising same-sex marriage.

The yes campaign won across all of Australia’s six states with results ranging from 64.9% in Victoria to 57.8% in New South Wales. The vote had a bigger turnout than the Brexit referendum and US presidential election.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has pledged to deliver the change in legislation.

Speaking at a press conference minutes after the result he said: “We must respect the voice of the people. We asked them for their opinion and they have given it to us. It is unequivocal, it is overwhelming.”

Simba: I’ve always been, for lack of a better word, extra. As a kid, I remember my mummy used to get me dressed and by the time she is getting my siblings dressed up I’d be naked. So, if you see me being a little bit of a nudist, it’s in my DNA and you can’t blame me. I’ve always been
different. If you ask me where I am from, I say Mars because I feel like an alien.

Amoré: So Simba. Your parents actually gave you Simba?



Simba: No, my first name is Sibongle. And my last name is Kenyatta

Amoré: What does Sibongile mean?

Simba: It means ‘Thanks’ or ‘Thank You’.

Amoré: A lot of guys are saying thank you.

Simba: (laughter) Ladies too. I actually got the name from school.

Amoré: Okay?

Simba: Everyone had a tag name back in the days so my best friend gave me the name ‘gold cap’. We both have this gold jacket and she was like your name is gold cap. Then one day I had a fight that was so bad the principal suspended me and when I came back everyone was like no, Simba. That’s it, and I was like yeeeessssss! My grandmother calls me Simba. Mum, Dad, everybody I know calls me Simba.

Amoré: So obviously you love Nigeria. Is this like your favorite African country?

Simba: It is my favorite country

Simba: So my family is from the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago precisely. I have been to every Caribbean Island in the world and I make carnival platforms internationally, carnival costumes as well for like the Calabar Carnival. Do you know that carnival?

Amoré: Yes, sure and do you make money out of this?

Simba: Oh yes, it is very lucrative. I mean it is lucrative also because there are not a lot of people in the business. In the past five years, there has been a surge of people getting involved, but before then there were just so few people so we were able to make a lot of money. We are still able to make a lot of money because as the designers grow, the masqueraders grow. Most
of the masqueraders grow so there’ll always be money in it.



Amoré: So what are your goals 5, 6 years from now? I know many people may say ‘oh she doesn’t seem like she has any’, ‘she seems like an air head living the life’. You’re not quite an airhead, are you?

Simba: No. I actually have a Masters degree and can speak 3 languages. I studied Opera for four years.

Amoré: Please, I would love to hear something.

Bond girl Karin Dor famed for starring in You Only Live Twice has died aged 79.

The German actress, played Bond girl Helga Brandt, the fearsome secretary of Japanese executive Mr. Osato.

She had suffered a fall at home a year ago but it went on to cause further health complications, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Dor passed away on Monday in a nursing home.
According to Wikipedia, she was married to American stuntman George Robotham from 1988 until his death in 2007. Dor is survived by her son, Andreas Reinl, who she had with Austrian film director Harald Reinl.

About ten days ago, the internet broke out with news of Tagbo Umeike’s death

What was even more shocking was Caroline Danjuma’s open accusation that musician Davido was partially responsible for the deceased’s untimely death

Between the early hours of October 3rd and now, a lot of theories have come up in the course of the investigation. According to actress Caroline Danjuma, Davido and his friends abandoned the late Tagbo Umeike when he was intoxicated.

Caroline Danjuma called out Davido in an Instagram post(deleted few hours after posting) of abandoning his friend Tagbo.
Davido was trolled by internet users following this accusation and the death of his friend DJ Olu and Chime, a few days later.
Caroline Danjuma, Davido, and close family and friends were invited by the Police for questioning.
Reports had it that an autopsy performed on Tagbo Umeike revealed Tagbo died of Asphyxiation(which is suffocation).
Davido came up with CCTV clips and a statement in his defense. This was after being quiet on the matter initially.
And just yesterday, it was revealed by a close friend of Tagbo that reportedly Davido’s CCTV clips would not be used in the investigation by the Police.
It was also reported that Davido allegedly placed a bet of N200,000 and an iPhone 8 for a drinking competition
