IjJudy: STENON please i asked the question below some days ago and I am yet to get your reply.
Please I have a question about QTS, PGCE/PGDE, where do I start from and how, saw where you told someone about getting a TRCN certificate.
I am interested in Teaching in UK, i graduated from a UK school in 2016 with a Masters (Computer Networks). I have a BSc in Computer Science from a Nigeria school. I just completed my PGDE and I am duly registered with TRCN. I teach Maths and Computing.
Please anybody and the house gurus that knows how I should proceed in order not to make mistakes should come to my aid, biko, ejoor... which part of UK are you travelling to? You should be fine with your TRCN in Scotland but not other part of UK. |

Angelacruz: I just broke up with my boyfriend of 2yrs. He cheated on me with another babe. It's hard to move on. I wrote this with a bleeding heart.
Why do some men like cheating? I was never a liability to him nor a bad girl. Y would he treat me like this? Am going insane.
What should i do nairalanders? Delete his number and all conversations. Remove him from all your social media page. Divert your power and energy towards achieving your dreams. Don't look for boyfriend now, just surround yourself with family and happy people. You shall be GREAT again. Thank me in 5 years time Darling. |

ladywealth: Good evening my NL guys.
I just met a guy last month ending, we exchanged numbers and started chatting. He asked me out.. I really enjoyed chatting with him, just him alone. So few days after, he invited me to his house. I declined but I noticed that he stopped chatting with me.
Few days after, he asked about my genotype without even greeting me. I counter questioned him and he attacked me, claiming that he is not happy with me. I replied that 'I don't care'. The next thing I received was rains of insults. Saying that I insulted him. I admitted and we settled it.
For the short times I've known him, I could see the kind of qualities I want in a man. But the problem he has and that he attested to is verbal abuse...
I noticed that anytime he invites me to his house and I declined, it always piss him off and he stops talking to me. I decided not to visit him because it's not safe for me.
He argues over little things on chat, he talks to me like I'm a baby ( he is 33 and I'm 22). he is domineering... I'm just confused on the decision to date him considering all these flaws. I am suspicious of him being violent. thanks My sister, for your future marital happiness and peace.... Pick race from that relationship and run as fast as you can. He deserves an abusive woman like him. |

Dj2019: I am even confused about the right answer . Since you already have HND in Geology, I think its better to apply for MSc in that Geology discipline, while keeping your PGDE and TRCN as a second option? The worst is for them to give you a conditional Teaching license which is better than nothing.
I am looking at possibility of MSc in Geology but HND might not qualify me for MSc. The leave is almost 17 years. If going for undergraduate, how do I package the whole thing?
Please, I need your reply on this@STENON,Justwise and other gurus Some schools accept HND for MSc but not sure of the long gap . I think if you have some years of working experience in Geology within that 17 years, You can try applying directly for MSc in Geology and wait for their decision..You have nothing to lose as UK school application is always free of charge and faster than other countries. |

kc6964: You are such a kind person taken your time to break down the whole expenses. Thanks so much i really appreciate at least many of us will benefit and understand what it takes to survive over there as a student especially those going for self sponsor like me .
Am going for master's program and tution fees is £13,500 if i make a deposit of 3000 pounds, the remaining £10500 with your breakdown i don't think i will be able to meet up with the rest tuition fees unless if i apply for student loan and pay back after my program that is if they do give. ( If you are for January entry. You should be able to meet up with your tuition fees payment, but be ready to do all sort of jobs and sacrifice the good part of your holiday for work. |

Dj2019: You can only teach your qualified subjects, though with few exceptions. A Physics Education graduate is qualified and licensed to Teach Physics, Maths and General science, whereas Mathematics graduate can only teach Mathematics and nothing else or less.

unstoppable0209: @Stenon, please I just want to know the possibility of getting jobs in UK as an economics teacher here in Nigeria for 10years . Presently i have gotten offer to study MA Educational management and leadership for Jan. Seriously, It is quite difficult right now due to the whole pandemic . I have been helping someone to secure one even after obtaining UK license from Nigeria. Employers are not willing to sponsor tier 2 visa for someone from Nigeria and always looking for someone that has UK teaching experience. This is quite different for those in Health discipline as NHS trust is the main body employing them. Local Authority is the one responsible for Teachers' recruitment in Scotland. Most private school owners are not also willing to sponsor tier 2 visa. It is much easier if you have student or dependant visa to come over and then start job hunting from there. It is a very rewarding job for those that have passion for it, This one week is our mid-term break and you will be happy to stay at home and get your full salary at the end of the month |
