Hey girl, glad to see that you have finally landed with your family. I claim the same for my family as well. All the best.

Lianna2020:
LANDING GIST

My flight was scheduled for 10:55 pm on Sunday.
We all went to the airport by 2:00pm because we had excess luggage and also to check in on time.
At 2, there wasn’t any crowd, we had 23kg into ten places (entitled to just 6 bags at 23kg) and paid 300k for extra luggage.

Things requested for at Nigerian airport:
1. Arrive can
2. Stamped visas
3. Enrollment letter
4. Covid 19 test

We finished all checks around 5:pm. Please no matter the time for your flight, try and get to the airport early because the crowd from five ehn!, I wouldn’t have meet up if I went late.

Tickets were printed out, yellow card given as well and passport scanned.

I said final goodbyes to my in-laws around eight and got checked in.

We used Lufthansa, we left 10:55pm and got to Frankfurt after 6 hours. We had layover of about six hours.

Things asked at Frankfurt by immigration.

1. Arrive can
2. Visas
3. Covid test result
4. Quarantine plan (14 days at Airbnb)

Our flight to Vancouver moved around 1:35pm on Monday (Germany time). It was the longest ten hours of my life. I never knew traveling with an active baby was this hard. They served their usual
Leaves but I no gree chop am because my turkey and meat Dey my bag Dey wait me(lol).

We got to Vancouver around 14:35(Vancouver time )on Monday . I filled arrival form on the system and moved to immigration.

At immigration in Vancouver, no cue or crowd at all.
Things asked by immigration:
1. Stamped visas of hubby , I and baby.
2. Hubby’s letter of authorization (the letter sent after your pp has been stamped ).

His work permit and baby’s visit visa was printed. No need for mine as i already had my study permit since July .
I waited for welcome to Canada and nothing(lol) yet again.

We got tested for covid at the airport and also our day eight self test box.

We moved to claim luggage(every bag complete ). And entered taxi to our Airbnb for quarantine.

I wish everyone all the best.
Amen

You can get an extension if you explain to your school the reason for the delay. Someone I know just got an extension from my school due to the same reason.

Lianna2020:
I used form A and I’m yet to be debited by GTB self.

And I have deadline of oct 12 to pay.

Can I be dropped if I don’t pay or money doesn’t reflect then? Anyone has an idea?

I posted my landing gist some time ago. You can find it if you click on my previous posts. Since you are unvaccinated, you will need to show that you have accommodation ready for quarantine and that it meets the requirements.

Frankalvinz:
Hey fam,

I really need help, I am traveling on the 30th of this month with KLM to finally arrive at Toronto airport.

Can anybody help me with their landing gist? I don't know how to go about the quarantine, if I have to book the mandatory hotel stop over (3days) before arrival and the procedures to take? (Note; I am unvaccinated)

The three day mandatory stopover has been scrapped. Have your quarantine plan ready and they will decide if you need to.

Frankalvinz:

Can you help me out? I read earlier that you will have a mandatory hotel stop over for 3 days even if you already have your place of choice for quarantine when you land in Canada, after the 3 days you can then move on to your place of quarantine for the remaining days. How true is this? (Note: I'm talking about unvaccinated travelers)

Reapplied on 15th May 2021 after analyzing the GCMS Notes and gathering more information from here!!!!!!

People were even telling me that I need an Agent but I insisted that I don't see the reason for that since all that I needed is here.

God did it for me. My PPR just landed this morning.
No need for an Agent or special WhatsApp group if you can read, comprehend and pray

I will come back to give details

Landing gist!!! Canada sweet nor be small.

I got to to the airport at about 4:45pm on the 10th of September. I tipped the security at the entrance to allow my husband and cousin in, the guy was just forming activity. When I got in, I was directed to NDLEA to check for drugs, that one too asked for tip. After there, the agricultural people sighted me and asked me to head to their counter because I had one bag of food. What I noticed is that if I wasn’t carrying a Ghana must go back, he wouldn’t have approached me. I paid 2k for the bag.

Then I moved on to the check in queue, mehn see crowd. British airways was fully booked. People traveling to the Uk for school as well were there on that day, I wished I had taken another airline. I stood for 4hrs before it got to my turn. Weighed my bags, everything was under the required weight though I had an extra bag which I paid $210 for. Note; please arrive early on the day of travel, else you stand a chance of missing your flight.

I was asked to show my Covid test, ArriveCAN, enrolment letter, passenger locator form(for BA passengers). Then I waited to get approval from Canada before I was allowed to fly. Approval came about 20mins later. I parted ways with my family, it was so hard leaving them behind especially the girls. Premium tears flowed but this is for the greater good.

Got to immigration and I was asked to go on the fast track because I gave the guy 1k. Went on to board my flight and we took off like 30 mins later. I slept most of the time as it was a night flight. Food wasn’t good at all, biko which one is over cooked garden egg and cheese? Landed in Heathrow, waited for another 8hrs before leaving for Toronto. This time, the food was better, it was rice and chicken something something(forgot the name, hunger dey catch me).

We landed after 7hrs 55mins. We weren’t allowed to get down because the crowd at the airport was much. Long story short, because of the queue, they took all our passports from us and printed our permits without questions.

No tests, nothing for me. Fully vaccinated. Just finished my second class for today. May the land of Canada favour me.

I wish everyone awaiting PPR all the best, you shall all experience this joy. You can reach out to me if you have any questions.

P.S I am chilling in my apartment, so much food from friends and family. Chai, this life sweet.

Thank you all so much for all the help
I’m a first time applicant and can testify that with this thread you can submit an application on your own.
I think it’s worth mentioning that I didn’t submit NSE documents initially. I submitted them later via web form when I saw others getting NSE request and I didn’t get but nothing really changed after that.
No ghost updates, no eligibility, nothing.
I sent lots of mails with no answer, not even the generic ones.
I already deferred so I will not be going till December but at least now I can start making the necessary preparations.
Thank you all once again!!

P.s I don’t have a new LOA yet but when I get it what should I do? Should I just send it via webform?
