SocialJustice:Yes! It cost deepseek less to achieve near same benchmark as the top ranking AI, and with the spirit of open source, sooner than later these models will be available and more efficient to run on less resources, thus making it possible to extend their integration into more systems. |
DonEd:Lol... Don't judge other people's ability by yours my fam. |
I woke up today, feeling very tomorrow....😅 We have long ago seen albeit the amusing capabilities of machines (robots - I don't mean in Terminator movies - I'm not dystopian 😅). But all the while, robots have been in the state of man as dust, atleast until the Creator gave it the Breath of Life. You may know it, or willfully deny it, but man has equally used his god-like quality to create the "Breath of Life" the machines have so needed - that's AI. This rant is about the schooling system today in the light of AI's growing omniscience and seeming omnipresence. Soon, "school" as we know it since we were born (it hasn't changed much atleast in Nigerian), will become obsolete - education will become more impactful, convenient and expensive 😁 Yes, expensive. Forward thinking schools will adopt learning systems that adapts UNIQUELY to the individual learning style and pace of EACH child! Say hello to AI AGENTS - we could then tap into a universally tested "curriculum" that can guide students into choosing a USEFUL CAREER PATH later in life and groom them towards that, while also adding some touch of general knowledge. Learning will be adapted to the student, and not the mood of the teacher - students will be able to interact with and learn in their preferred style different topics and concepts (think Sora for text-to-speech, Dall-E for image and video generation and live face tracking to study the student's reaction and adjust tone accordingly - i.e motivate, encourage, etc.) If you've done the simplest task of prompting ChatGPT or even MetaAI, you'll see the future - now add that to being able to code, you'll see the possibility of even building that future. The traditional role of teachers screaming "photosynthesis" at the top of their lungs will be streamlined to care-givers and learning supervision. Hehe...., maybe not our generation sha - but how lucky the generation of Nigerians will be who will have a REASONABLE LEADER who will invest in USEFUL SCHOOLING - government schools will rival all private institutions, because Government actually has the money to implement these things! These are not mere wishes, they are VERY POSSIBLE from a technical implementation perspective (coming from a software developer) and adaptable (coming from a trainer). What say you? |
Build your own stuff! |
youngsum:Keep at it Bro. Trust me, it'll pay off. Edit: Don't just be learning it o. Be obsessed about it, be really good at it so that you'll attract the big money |
brain54:But really, OP has to make some drastic decisions and put himself in a position where he can make better money. We won't all get lucky, but things won't get better trying to play safe and be secure. Meanwhile, it should be criminal for any school to be paying that amount as monthly salary! Haba! What are your skills OP? |
Just say thank you Bro. Your previous thumbnail had the freeCodeCamp logo at the bottom left corner. You're lying to yourself if you deny that what you currently have now wasn't the original thumbnail you used. I have nothing against your course platform - I saw the thumbnail, and if it was a mistake that you used their thumbnail for a course your tutors actually recorded originally, then the problem is from you. Invest in a designer to help you with thumbnails. Bye |
It's a shame that our judiciary system in this country is a far cry from what the Judiciary is supposed to represent. And even the regulatory bodies set up to stop certain rubissh are equally in-com-petent. I mean, how on earth, are we not suing 9mobile for the nonsense service they have held us hostage to for more than 6months now. They even still have the face to post promotional nonsense on their social media, with no response or address concerning the current subpar service delivery. Oh no no, don't even say port, you can't even send SMS nor receive same on the rubbish line. As of today, all my sims are showing emergency mode. What a shame! Them for just leave the company at "Etisalat". It was one of the best networks in Nigeria then. |
You're selling a course made for free by freecodeCamp on YouTube? You didn't even have th decency to change the thumbnail? |
It costs zero. Everything you need to learn, from the software to the design principles is already on YouTube. You just need to search for either Photoshop or Illustrator or Corel Draw crash course. Then look for tutorials on how to make flyers, logosz etc. |
Hmmm..... It's hard to advise anyone to quit a "job" - I say job because, even if they fire you, they're not exactly sacking you out of photography as a career. Also, before embarking on this career path, did you find it interesting? Cos, I believe being more than 5years in a field is enough to make you a demigod - I'd say. If you decide to quit this field now, do you have anything to fall back on? Do you have sample of your works (not people's private photo o - maybe edit a generic photo from a stock image site, then send to the thread, let us see - or send a link to your portfolio if you have one). |
Never, Never "intentionally" go close to a body of water,if you can't swiiim like crazy!!! RIP |
Interesting post |
All success formulas and laws out there are promulgated from the "last working iteration" of successful people's shot at success. They seldom account for the multiple iterations of trial and errors, failing and disappointment that eventually led to that lightbulb moment - Eureka! They propose a "How To" equation. Yes, an equation with variables that are hardly ever universally distributed - i.e we don't all have identical circumstances. They oversell the Disney-world optimism where Beauty will always love the Beast and forget about Humpty Dumpty potentially falling off the wall. But if you study enough of them, you'll notice some constants in all "success formulas" - the unsung heroes - because, they're not very dramatic. Patience, Growth Mindset, Building Relationships, Passionate about the ideas without being obsessed with it (willing to pivot). Keep hope alive. Trust in the process, you'll soon achieve your working iteration! And I hope you tell a better and truthful story. Cre8steve Technologies #RandomMusings #cre8steve #business #growth #success

It was not waste of time.... Primary and Secondary school is not for specialist education. Their purpose is to expose you to different forms and fields of knowledge that can then stir up a passion to pursue a specialization in the University. That cockroach you were drawing and labelling, if there were reasonable funding for research and development, as obtainable in most modern and reasonably governed country, you can understand enough about cockroaches (which are one of the most unkillable animals in the world 😂) and then model a real-world technology after its anatomy. Example.... Innovations in aerodynamics owes much to the study of how birds fly |
gregyboy:Epa, I'm probably more ovbiedo than you. To present self-interpretation as though its a fact, is just plainly unnecessary. Oba Ewuare II is King Ewuare. The additional titles (Omo n'oba n'edo uku akpolokpolor) does not remove the title of Oba from his name too. Languages often have similarities, it doesn't mean that one tribe that shares same meaning of a word owe their ancestry to the other. Plus, all arguments not founded in documented history, is just a party of egotist trying to show who has a bigger ego. |
I'm a Benin person, but I'll like to know the factuality of this claim. From my years of knowing that title, it has always been pronounced with the meaning of "...King of Edo" and not "...that shines for edo". |
I don't know if it's too late, or how it might look to everyone. If you had this mentality while hustling, money would still be a problem for you till today. What i mean by the above, take a decision and f**uck what people think. 4 years from now, you'll still 30. You can either be a 30year old graduate by then, or be a 30year old who allowed what people would think make him not pursue his desire to get a degree. |
Do it for faith, or do it for Peace in your home (making the wife happy). You didn't have this agnostic tendency before you married her, so all of a sudden becoming a non-church goer can trigger her spiritual alarm bells i.e "the enemy is waging war against her home, and winning". |
It's funny now o.... "Government" is now interfering with traditional religion. Soon, they'll take it up a notch, and start interfering with the other popular two. It won't be too funny then abi |
There's never an age barrier to learning what you need to learn to turn your life around. It's not how many years more you need to Master it, the question is how committed can you be to learning the skill so that you can be good enough to be collecting small jobs to help yourself a little, pending when you can be strong enough to start tackling person contracts. Whatever you decide to learn or not, two years from now, you'll still be 31. The best time to start was 9 years ago, the next best time is today. |

idahme: Great point about financial prudence 💯 But why do you assume he's flamboyant in spending on women 😂. There are a lot of ways to be broke, women is just one |
Hmmm...... I don't believe in accusing spirituality for an action when indiscipline is a very valid explanation. The reason you SEEM TO DECIDE TO EAT UP YOUR RENT MONEY is because you know you have a place to stay in your father's house. There's no shame in saving cost and staying there though, provided you're not being a burden to them. There's nothing that says you'll automatically blow up financially once you leave the house. That thing you call "spiritual" that makes you squander money is in you and will follow you to your new apartment if you don't discipline yourself. If you need to rent a humble one room apartment, do it. Maybe you're raising the bar too high (renting a flat) and thus giving you too long time to save up, and before you save a quarter of the cost, the motivation to live alone has faded, and you slide into eating the money. |
You can try splitting each prayer points into individual cards, so users can browse through easily than having to scroll from top to bottom, especially if you'll be adding more prayer points as time goes on. |
Goodmarlian:So una don normalize bad behavior? |
Go with Option B. Option A only has the option of being useful for just the time being, and eventually you may leave but with nothing in terms of professional/skills development. Option B - People are not just all bad as others will paint them out to be. I'd go with this other guy where you can learn, and please put your head down to learn! If he's paying you while you learn, don't do any side job with the skills. If you get any big deal client, introduce him to the man - you'll massage his ego, showing loyalty. Your goal is to be technically proficient - but don't be ungrateful, if you approached him directly sef, you for pay enrolment fee running into 100k+ He's a braggart and all that, then know how to play his game. Don't think about trying to be too smart where he is - read a summary of the 48laws of power. Lastly, you're already an adult. Start taking decisions yourself..... Get suggestions, but don't go with popular opinion - only pick the pros of all arguments and use it to tweak your strategies. No risk, no reward |

He's quite young from the picture. God rest his soul. Our institutions should really have like in house therapy sessions - we don't take mental health serious in these parts. We should also stop stigmatizing people who call out for help. That stigma of you're "not a man" discourages most people from speaking out about mental health issues. God rest his soul. |
